  1. Does anyone know if the Passat headrests will fit on a superb? I really like the forward adjustable ones but not available as far as I can see on Superbs. I went to a local vw dealer and measured the metal prongs and they seem the same distance apart but thought I’d ask on here as someone has bound to of swapped them
  2. I looked at mine the other day and thought 40psi sounds a lot so just kept with my default 35psi all round
  3. Last I heard because we left the EU if you’re caught speeding they can’t request our details to forward on the fine now, result. Won’t help if you’re pulled over though
  4. From what I’ve read on here in the past, you only need to adjust the screws ever so slightly to get the correct distance. You’d use the software if it was way out. This is what I’ll be doing at some point, buying new osram d3s laser bulbs. If it still seems like it’s a little low, get a thin marker pen and on the screw draw a straight line making sure to draw a line onto the plastics as well. That way when you adjust the screw you have a reference point to turn it back to if not happy and want it to go back where it started, as you just have to get the lines straight again
  5. I finally bought this today, got it from motor parts direct as they had it in stock and collected same day for £10.92. I tested it by using my woot woot and silent, I then turned auto rear wipe on as I had to stop yesterday to turn it off as I got so annoyed at the sound
  6. Mine is still on the originals from factory in 2016 with coming up to 37K miles. Pirelli P7’s do seem to last a while it seems, but the outside is perishing a bit from lack of use in my ownership
  7. Nothing on there. I’ve got a massive moment of deja vu over this, as I’m sure someone else posted a picture of something similar a year or so ago but can’t find it. It may not have a stamp on it because it goes into something else so won’t have its own part number. Only thing I can think of is the retractable parcel shelf but that’s all the way in one of my lofts
  8. Pumped all my tyres up and thought it’s best to pump up the spare as I don’t think I’ve done it before (full size but limited to 50mph, pfft) Upon removing the wheel I found this underneath loose. Any ideas?
  9. That’s exactly how I done mine, twice now and works a treat
  10. The software will only sort your lights out if it’s basically aimed at the floor and it wouldn’t pass MOT if it was. I know it’s expensive but put on the Osram Nightbreaker Lasers. Mine seems a little low but I’m sure it’s just the OE bulbs are crap like many others have said
  11. Done my last update in 2020 which was my first ever in 3 or 4 years ownership. I’m sure this update was quicker for some reason. I used the same card as last time and noticed it was formatted to NTFS so you don’t need to format to fat32 only. When I plugged the sd card it didn’t automatically prompt me to update sp go to nav > settings > version info then click update
  12. Many years ago I saw the Aston Martin DBR9 at Silverstone, that’s where I got my inspiration from 😍
  13. OK, so i've talked myself out of it. I forgot that fluorescent paints/wraps don't last at all, game over.
  14. Haha, so for a long time now I've had a weird need/desire for fluorescent yellow wing mirrors, I never done it on my b5.5 Passat but almost did but this was before wrapping was a thing. I recently started to think about it on my Superb but googled the colour and found someone had wrapped a G Wagon in exactly the same colour and in matte aswell, drool. I've attached some photos, one being badly painted on in Paint by me and the other is the colour I want. Does it look stupid and chavvy? (My wing mirror idea, not the G Wagon)
  15. I've not swapped it, but it'll just prise up. You can then choose from the following Skoda DSG DSG 4x4 (which obviously you dont want) DSG L&K DSG RS DSG Scout Have a look at 5E0713146 (Just says Skoda), then at the end after 6 use the letters A to M. I quite like the look of 5E0713146J for some reason, but as my normal DSG one is fine, I won't be changing unless I really have to, it probably looks really cheap in real life though https://www.obautodily.cz/nahradni-plaketka-radici-paky-skoda-automaticka-prevodovka-s-napisem-dsg-prolisovane-provedeni-11563cz1763/ You can also see the bottom of the badge on the above link, which helps a little knowing how it pushes down
  16. So I got the 6V0 part for £5.02 and works a treat. The parts guys were more miserable in real life then on the phone, so I didn’t bother to ask why there’s two part numbers and £4 difference
  17. Excellent so the right part number then. I’m going to the dealer tomorrow as it’s coming in, hopefully they have an accessory wall with the 000 number out so I can look side by side
  18. Fuel and air filter is changed every 6 years or 60k believe it or not
  19. Take your car to a large supermarket car park late at night, have your steering wheel straight then go forward at about 10mph and see how it behaves. Then go to a garage and get a 4 wheel alignment, not just the fronts. Then go back to the same car park and test again. If it still goes to the right after a 4 wheel alignment then something else is wrong but at least you’ve eliminated that. I assume your tyres match on the axles? Like front is same brand, mileage and importantly pressure?
  20. Just had a look and your dealer is right, there's no replaceable parts 😞 There does seem to be revisions though so most likely better plastics inside so it doesn't break again. What P/N is your parcel shelf?
  21. Tried ringing local Skoda dealerships no answer..., so I rang a VW dealer and neither of those numbers would show up, so it's definitely a Skoda part. I rang a different Skoda dealership today and sounded like I disrupted a family funeral moment, but the chap couldn't see the difference and has ordered in the 6V0 number for me to have a look at. I'm starting to think the 6V0 number is the part number for cars which have it fitted as standard and the 000 number is the "accessory" part number, and for some reason means a difference price as 000 comes with instructions on how to fit it etc. I'll do anything to save a couple of quid haha
  22. The part number should be inside the flap from what I’ve seen. The dealer I rang never bothered to call back so I’ll ring another
  23. What did you do to resolve this the first time? I’m not sure how they work but I’m guessing they’ll be a cog somewhere which has broken a few teeth maybe? Id also lube it to death with silicone lube spray and see if that fixes it, if it does then you’ll need to see if you can apply a grease for longer term fix, if nothing is broken that is
  24. Haha, you’re not wrong. It did fit okay for a cheap Argos one when new, but over the years it has become less and less effective. I used a pair of marigolds and much better now, though still not brilliant. I’ll be buying a hatch bag if I ever find a job 😞
