I guess it's quite small :D

So is that the bottom edge of the windscreen across the middle then, or a gap where something isn't fitted at the moment ?

Gap where the plastic panel goes by the wipers.

  • Yes.   One painted Citigo 4x4 shell and plans made for the next stage. Rebuild basics to allow for the loom to be made are being done over the next two weeks. Then a motorsport electrical speciali

I can see the formation of a new Brisky Quiz here Richard. Maybe a picture of a fuel pump sans hoses from an unusual angle with incorrect focus? Obviously not yet though as I've given the game away. . . ;-)

How's the wiring going?

How's the wiring going?

F**k  knows!

The only way I generally find out is if I drive 100 miles and turn up in person.

When there is some alledged progress I can't even get a picture unless I go up there and take it myself.

The guy that is supposed to be working on the Citigo was working on an old s**tbox of a mk2 Golf last time I went in, that some idiot had very poorly tried to install a later engine in.

Obviously that job is a higher priority.

Not sure if I'm not a priority or they don't want the money.

But in the last two months we have managed to put a fuel tank and a pump in.

And then when I visited my rear diff got done while I was there.

I've had no updates since.

And no time to keep going in there every week to gee them up.

When I call I'm not told about progress, which suggests it's being put off for things that are more important.

It seems that as I am generally quite calm the lack of ranting is slowing progress.  Out of sight, out of mind.

Shame because they seem to know what they are doing.  When they actually get round to doing something.

Thank god you got an entire TTRS to fit the mechanics into the YeTTi RS  :cocktail:

You thought of giving Harvey at HR Engineering a call Richard?

They may be a bit more eager to see this finished! ;-(

Sad to hear, been having similar issues with this Jag that's not moved in 5 weeks.

Mark, there are a few people I've come across that are happy to finish the project.

But so far I've tried to keep it under the same roof.

I don't have the patience any more for people taking over someone else's work and then pointing out all the "faults" because they'd have done it a bit differently.

If the firm building my Yeti RS do a good job, that will change.

Currenly I'm being held by the danglies.

The Citigo has not had any suspension, wheels or drivetrain for a WHOLE YEAR.

Which doesn't make it the easiest thing to move.  A shell and a huge pile of bits!!!

5 weeks?

I don't care.

Moan when it gets to two years.

For a starter motor

That is ridiculous, 2 years to build some engine mounts, brace and adapt a shell and spray it.

I refer you to my previous post.

They really are taking the urine now - it's almost as if it's beyond them, and they think it'll just go away

I presume there was no formal contract drawn up re time limits, costs etc, otherwise I'd be threatening them with reduced payments

No contract Bryan.  It's mostly workload and staffing issues.

I paid as I went along so I owe them nothing.

I don't like being in debt as costs on a project like this can run away without you realising.

Silly thing is, if one afternoon a week had been spent on it over the last year it'd probably be almost finsihed now.

Instead it's been put on the back burner so little progress on a regular basis.

I bet you could get it all transported for £500...............all the way up to Shark Performance ;)

It's a shame, the advertising opportunities for them if this had gone more smoothly, would surely have been beneficial for them - I'm sure many car magazines would be interested in it

A build like this needs to be worked on at least a full day every week to prevent time losses due to tooling up and packing away all the time!

It's a shame because what will undoubtably be a very high profile car for any tuning company is not getting the respect it deserves!

While they get a good customer feedback on here they have not even returned my calls the two times I've called up and left my number. (Re: getting them to do my Yeti as they had experience, hence it got the APR treatment)

Also they are tuners and mapping experts with no history (that I've seen) of large scale project building.

And I don't like the distance.

Just not viable, will keep things local in future so I can pop in, chat and see how things are going regularly.

Amazing project, amazing car.

And a truly amazing company. I don´t believe, how it can take that long (or, I have some ideas, working with UK companies before :)).

You Sir, must be a very patient man.

Looking forward to see/hear the final result.

By the way, thank you for asking Dark_Hero/Charlie. :)

That's really bad.

Could you point out to them that the money you've spent on this project could pay the wages of 1-2 new mechanics which would resolve the staffing issues.

By the way, thank you for asking Dark_Hero/Charlie. :)

Oops sorry :D

Shame to hear about the slow progress of the fastest citigo ever thought about.

Unfortunately at this stage of build you are pretty much being held by the danglies as it is harder to take it away and get it finished despite the relatively (compared to the original build spec) small amount of work required.

Sorry to hear about the. Lack of updates, and progress.

If you do decide to move the project and need any help let me know.
