With the Alpine head unit in my other car I found that I had to add the cover art to every track, having it in the folder wasn't sufficient - not sure if the same applies to the Skoda units as I just use the same files.

I dont actually have photo files in the SD card, the artwork seems to remain attached to the audio files from iTunes for the majority.

For the rest, I think I can link it through Windows Media Player for each remaining album.

Would you be able to lease a car, knowing you couldn't mod it?

Yep as long as I have one car owned outright to mod I would have ‘company car’ that I would leave alone. I am considering having some graphics put on my car for the business but I don’t really want to as it’s my personal car. Have been shopping around for a cheaper car to use as a work car but then I want the creature comforts lol. Did briefly consider another vRS, there’s a nice spec one on eBay with a minor fault and it has a higher spec than mine (apart from no leather!) and minus my infotainment mods but the description is vague and the bid has gone too high for me now.

Yeah the whole Citroen thing with the HVAC doesn’t bother me, I leave the climate control in AUTO and set to 17.5 and I rarely ever move it,

A woman who doesn't insist the temp is at >300c everywhere she goes.

Noooooo!!!!!!  Not the Octy.:crying::heartbreak:

No garish vinyls!  If you do that we'll have to form an ugly mob, and burn you at the stake for heresy.  As a compromise, we'll allow you a "Sasha's Modding Service" T-Shirt or set of oily overalls though. :tongueout:

Looks good, I can't even spot the towbar flap.

Got to clean mine in the morning had to go to work today (worlds worst boss) given X4 wherever that is?:blush

Good to finally meet you today and hope your friend enjoyed his 9 laps around Donington gave him a couple of moments to remember not because of any talent but a bit rusty and never been going that fast approaching a corner before. Hopefully your experience was error free and enjoyable.

I was hoping to come along today and say hi, unfortunately it coincided with the flying legends airshow at Duxford.

I hope you had a good day.

@SashaGrace one  question regarding the Columbus infotainment. Did you had any problems with the sound after the retrofit?

I have a friend with a 2015 Octavia and afterwards the sound is very poor and the speakers vibrates in the door....

Did you experienced any sound issues?

Likewise, was good to meet you and your wife and yes, Harry had a good time haha. Shame I couldn’t have gone out too but the briefing got in the way. I got some footage of one of my laps, please excuse the commentary, I did eventually pass the Mini :)

Not at all, sound is so much better now, the MIB2 is much less thin and weedy than the MIB1. Will soon be getting better hopefully :)

I was expecting lots of tyre squeal and sideways action!

Sadly not 😂 hopefully not next time either! Would love to do Silverstone if possible...

How cool was that shot with the plane landing while all of your going the same direction.

Do you have lowering plans @SashaGrace ?

I think a 30-40mm drop would really top it off, I keep considering the same for mine.....

I go back and forth on it. They look great lowered but I’d want coil overs so I could wind them back up again for towing. It looks ok at the height it’s at but there’s no denying they look good lowered.

I had a Vectra GSI years ago that I put on Coilovers with the intention of raising and lowering for different situations /events.  I set it up on day one, adjusted again a week later and it stayed like that for the remainder of my ownership.

Because of EU regulations about towbar height and the safe height of the tow ball I would need to raise and lower it so for now it can stay where it is.

Now that's a regulation I've never heard about.......whoops :worried:

But that is, however, why I was considering coilovers as well. I was expecting to do a bit of adjustment for a boot full of trackday gear and a motorbike on a trailer anyway.

The only thing is the 12mm which has already been shaved off our suspension........I'm going to get the tape measure out tomorrow and see how the lands lies

Maybe that is why the octy is only dropped a little bit?

'Shirley' if needing different height for different uses you'd be better off with bags?  Flick a switch or get your phone out and you have either a track weapon or a family tow car.

EU or not you still have to follow the regulations set by EU.

Trust me.
