Code everything to match the old panel and then you need to have the engine running and hold the A/C and rear screen heat buttons for 10 seconds to adapt it and then wait 2 mins or so. That should do it for you :)

Just seeing this now, re matching, all the controls are exactly the same, just looks newer, would this still need coding g ? Ilk try the hold function and check again when my OBD11 arrives this week .

Odd it works perfectly just showed a code when we were installing the new radio.

And I guess sideskirt extensions as u have everything else maxton ! Ha

Yes, even though the controls are the same the panel may have subtly different coding causing the issue so it pays to check. Mine had a few minor differences; make no odds to functionality but may throw codes.

My diffuser is a Rieger one but these are Maxton skirts. Got the rear bumper ones on order and then Milotec spoiler next. Bodywork mods will then be complete and I can move onto paintwork.

First day back on my feet properly and what do I do? Go to my Dad’s and pester him into helping me fit my side skirts of course! Rear bumper extensions and Milotec spoiler next. Would be imminent, but I need another pair of front tyres... again 🙄😂 Will try and get it clean at the weekend and she be looking mean 🙃

Not as many as the last set. Did 14k on those, 12 on these and they are getting to be illegal on inner edge, good thing I checked! This will be the last set on the car, will deffo go back to PS4S, just got to save the pennies and have the wheels redone or get new ones as the refurb job on these was crap.

Yeah that's the problem with cheaper tyres they just don't last very long, glad to hear your feeling better.

Costco have the money off deal on Michelin tyres this month, worth a look. I got circa 23,000 miles just over on my last pair of cross climate tyres on the front of my Octy estate.

I’ll be sorting it to get hold of 4 PS4S’s on either these wheels post refurb or another set depending on what I do. Just need tyres quick right now so gone for another pair of Proxes. They are very sticky and I’m hard on them so I’m not annoyed.

I've been holding off on fitting front splitter and side-skirts for a while as I've been trying to keep the 'understated' look, but more and more (and especially looking at those photos) I'm really getting to the stage where I'm hovering over the 'buy' button. It's only fitment opportunities that are holding me back, as I need to find a bit of space and height to do it (rather than a shared gravel driveway/car park).

I know there's a few threads on here for fitment, but on a PITA scale of 1-10, where abouts are they?

You could go to a tyre fitters use their ramp and ask them to help you fit the parts for a small fee of course. Sasha just got e-mail for Traxs at Donington Sunday 19th July 2020. Might be my only track day this year and might go for 2 sessions this time.

It wasn’t hard to do, height helps but if you have a small impact driver drill it’s much easier. I managed it with minimal jacking up :)

Have fun! I won’t be there this time as it’s my Dad’s 56th Birthday and 15th Wedding Anniversary on that day so the rest of the Mk3 vRS club will be there but I won’t be sadly.

Toyos are a good tyre but they are a soft compound. The extra weight of the diesel engine doesnt help with the wear. I would go with GY Asy 5s over the PS4s. Much cheaper and very very little difference in grip levels but better wear. Love them on my VRS. Having been a big fan of Michelin on my other cars they are just too much now.

The maxiton bits look good. Thought of fitting them myself but I like the standard look too much. I know I am boring lol

I know but I need them quick and I’m a sucker for a matching set of 4. I am a Costco member and with that in mind the PS4S in the size I want is quite good vfm so when I decide what I’m doing with the wheels (refurb again but somewhere else or replace) I’ll get a set of 4 PS4S’s and do the high TPMS retrofit as mine gives me so many false warnings!

I looked at Costco but I got mine cheaper from blackcircles.

I've also been thinking about putting on the maxton skirt of mine.

So far i have the maxton front splitter and the rieger rear diffuser.

Could you explain a little on how they are fixed to the car?

Do you need to drill into the sills?

That would be a big no no for me.

Looks amazing btw!

You can bond them on if you don’t want to screw them on. I had to screw them in the end as one of the rear jack points was collapsed so that corner needed screwing and once I did that corner it was no more harm to do the rest. I have sprayed rust proofer all over and inside the holes and then sealed around them. Shouldn’t be an issue.

Ahh ok, thanks for the answer.

I'll think about it a for little while more :)

Quick question,

When you completed your MIB 2.5 fit, did you have the same options on screen for the air conditioning? I've just completed a Bolero mib1 to columbus mib2.5 retrofit and seem to have lost the air con profile setting in the menu.

You need the FL climate panel to match it, the software isn’t compatible :)

Yep, was due to start a new job today but everything has been put on hold due to the kind of job it is. Got my start paperwork here, no idea when I’m going to start. Can’t pretend I’m not a little bit thrilled tbf as I was starting to lose the will to live in my last job so yey 😂

Hopefully they start paying you from today though!
