Did your update take long? Popped up on my 2021 model that was on 1941.

  • Personally, not really in the spirit of the forum to be selling the update file.  Also, with no documentation, or indeed any reference to this update on the web, I would not install it at this point.

  • Just for clarification, in the past I supplied a lot of files for free. The costs that I made then we're not high and I could cover it with other works   However since last year the costs fo

  • I have now sourced the 1985 update package and installed successfully.  Everything seems fine but got a long journey tomorrow which will confirm its stability.  I’ll happily share it FOC over the week

Mine downloaded that in about 15 minutes when i drove to work and left the car update itself when i was at work.

Got the update notification when I sat in the car when my wife was collecting me, she didn't notice, so I set the download in motion. Seemed to have paused after she turned the ignition off as it hadn't progressed when I came back. Download is motoring along now anyway when I came back and turned ignition back on.

You'll be quite surprised how quickly it downloads, I was parked near UniS in Guildford & it dowloaded several 100Mb in a matter of minutes.

I got the 1985 update free apparently over the air.  I had a message pop up on the display asking if I wanted to download an update, so I clicked the UPDATE button on the screen.  Then the next time I stopped the car I had another message telling me the update was ready to install, would take aprox 30mins, and that I shouldn't be using the car while it installs the update - the message even said I should get out of the car and leave it for 30mins.  Fine, took the dog for a walk, and when we got back to the car and started it, another message popped up on the display saying the update was complete.

Scusate, ma voi riuscite a scaricare le mappe aggiornate dal sito della skoda?

A me segna un errore con una pagina blu.

In English please, @FranzMT. 👍

@FranzMT, For the offline update of the Sat Nav DB, please find bellow the related thread:

Good Luck!

My download seemed to be stuck, with 100+ MB still missing even after driving for 40min, but turning on the ignition only without the motor running helped. The rest was downloaded in a minute or so. 1985 is now on my 2022 G-Tec as well and I've had no problems so far. 🙂

sorry, I'm posting the message in English, but are you able to download the updated maps from the skoda website?

It shows an error with a blue page for me.

I tested the URL you provided and using my VIN number, and the download did not work for me- I got this error message:

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

</Error>

downloading from the Skoda update portal seems to be working now.  i was having errors earlier, but looks like its ok now.

i'm going to put a new unzipped download onto a new USB-C drive and put that in the car, see if it will restart the whole maps update.

wish me luck!

This morning my car asked to download the new software.  30 minutes later it had finished and asked me when to update, with a warning not to switch it on for 30 minutes while the update took place.  Returning 4 hours later it was complete.  On the way home I had a further short update.

Everything looks fine.

Happy to see they are finally rolling out OTA updates for older cars.

Newer car than above but still not offered OTA upgrade. Just to check, has anyone who did the manual 1969 upgrade been offered 1985 as OTA ?

I was on 1941.  They may do 1941 before 1969.

I was on 1969, done by a Skoda service center.

I'm still waiting for an OTA update to 1985. I'm currently on 1941. I'd consider mine an older car being a '20 plate.

Be patient, give it time, my OTA to 1985 didn't turn up quickly. I took two or three months if not more to arrive. I did have it on USB stick, but didn't need to use it in the end.

Do you have the traffication app?

I do, but can't see any option in there to disable it.

I see some have the parking sensors not blocking the whole display (and oriented correctly) - Is this a setting? Mine still seems to take the whole screen

Never tried it but if you open the app itself, is there no option there?

Depends on what other apps you have open and running, for instance if I'm using navigation via AA, the parking sensors will display as you describe. However, under normal circumstances (as in home screen displayed whilst driving) they'll take up the whole screen

my download via ota from software 1803 to 1985 of 5400 Mb stopped at 4800 Mb and would not start anymore, I cancelled but it never arrived. Has this happened to anyone?
