I will have to test it then. Last time i was on the highway when i turn on the indicator it just stopped my line assist. My bear is Sportline 130 IV as well.

I drive a Kodiaq IV Selection and Travel Assist, when activated, does change the lane by itself for me when I use the indicator stalk. I don’t think that the trim makes any difference, Travel Assist should work the same way on all gen 2 “bears”.

My Octavia was doing something that sounds very similar, except both sides were actually functioning correctly, just kinda gritty feeling from the driver's position. While hunting around I got to the rear ends of the cables and worked a few sprays of WD in there, followed by a few drops of clean engine oil. The cable ends point upwards, which even with a rubber boot is rather inviting crud to get inside. Assume similar on the Superb Seems to have worked, at least for now, all as quiet as one would hope and the handbrake is still grand. Fingers crossed it's the same for you, OP!

Which models have the full matrix headlights with AFL which blanks out the parts of the beam in segments? I currently have a Mk 2 kodiaq which has this feature and it’s a must have. Due to circumstances I may have to switch to a Mk1. Looking at pictures of them, it’s unclear which do and don’t. TIA

You may have a sticking butterfly valve in the throttle body even though unlikely based on your posts, I had this in a 2000 Bora at ~ 60K miles due to carbon build up in the throttle body from the EGR which was causing all sorts of problems, I just removed the air filter and sprayed WD40 around the butterfly circumference (engine Off) a few times and problems disappeared.

Yes and no. It’s a euro mandated safety feature which resets to on by default every time you turn the ignition on. Lane assist tries to keep you in the lane you are in and has a hissy fit if you try to change lanes without indicating. Travel assist keeps you in the lane and steers to follow the lane you are in. Good on motorways and dual carriageways but possibly dangerous on anything else. Neither will change lanes for you.

The confusion that the Autohold operates on the Electronic Handbrake rather than as it really does on 4 four brakes via the ABS pump is not helped by the manufacture's description of the system. From the specification for my 2024 Karoq - "Electronic parking brake with auto hold function". The Autohold on my Karoq is much smoother than it was on my previous 2018 Seat Leon FR. On the Leon it was very difficult to pull away from a stop without a slight jerk. Some drivers blamed the DSG but it didn't happen if Autohold was disengaged. At night if stopped for what was obviously going to be a longer time I would apy the EHB which wod disengage the AH & extinguish the brake lights. Better for the driver behind me. Pulling away was then also smoother - 2 brakes to be release rather than 4? At the next stop AH would still be auto applied. I sometimes do the same on my Karoq at night and it responds in the same way.

Excellent work doing that job. I’ll start planning for my Elroq in 4 years time.

Does the Sportline 130 have this? Can the car use it to change lines by itself while in Travel assist mode on the motorway?

I use a spray cleaner,not a thoroughly job but i didn't had much time at the moment. I will make a check after few months.

Nothing specific, just general feedback really. I'm looking at a 74 plate one. I have read elsewhere that the Infotainment system can have issues but apart from that, i haven't found anything that seems to be overly problematic. It all appeared fine on the test drive.

Thank you. Will have a look at the rear cable connections at the weekend. Fingers crossed it's just a case of lubing it. I have never fitted a new handbrake cable, looks a bit daunting.

I managed to get the whole lot changed over the last two days. My primary concern is the oil leak; after getting rocker gasket replaced, next step was all the ancient hoses. So as I'd bought them, I thought I'd address the leak first- although most of the guidance on briskoda encourages the OCC and delete route. I had to read all this to help me do the job, and it sounds like the way to go. But I've done it and I'm jolly proud of myself! Wrecked my hands as expected, and have probably dropped some bits into the manifold hole-we'll see. Only had time for a 20 miunte drive to the supermarket though; and it was too dark to check on leaks. Will update tomorrow. But while it's in my mind, here's the troublesome bits- scraping and digging the broken 90 degree elbow remnants from the hole; took forever. A washer came out at the end, as well as a 4cm section of pipe.Stupidly I didn't put the washer back but I did put a new one on the new elboy. The spring clip was another struggle, as it's partly under a cable mounting plate (getting it back in was the difficult bit). the pipe that goes up from the 'T' was a hassle- I couldn't get it reach so used a section of 19mm breather pipe from a scrap vehicle, cut to size. It's not rigid plastic but I couldn't give a **** by that stage. When I first drove off, it seemed at bit jerky in first/second gear, but that was probably my stress overthinking stuff (i.e; forgotten how to drive) I'll drive againtomorrow. I'm hoping for better boost, economy and whatnot, and hopefully a dry oil-free parking space! Oh yeah, the 'third' valve I mentioned was a mistake- it was simply a steel hose termination in a green shroud, that looked like a valve ..until I looked at it properly. More later

Could've sworn they were fixed and non opening... Edit: just checked and they're definitely fixed in the three door we're getting as no fixings on the outside of the glass for the latch

We didn’t get along to where they normally hang out. The footbridge along the back of the harbour has been removed for repair.

I am suprised there is no mention if the VAG DPF App for your phone any more. You can follow what is happening in the DPF, such as ash content, when last regenerated and much more. There ia also a free Lite version to allow you to see the featues.

I seem to recall the 5 door back windows are the same little pop out style as the 3 door.. so just as liable to be a smidge leaky

Re the window seals presumably thats on the 5 door as the 3 door is fixed windows??
