  2. Yes. The solid wires drawn in the CFD for the headlight are actually normal wires. So it will have a live an earth and a feedback to the module.

  4. Yes that's what I hope it is, just a battery issue. But again, I think that they should have checked that it was working before selling it. I paid a premium by buying it from a dealer assuming everything would be working and all servicing up to date
  5. Never thought to check them as well. Don't think they have been. What intervals are both of those?
  6. Do you mean that wire that one is it inside the headlight?
  7. Its clearly working so I would suggest the feedback signal wire could be broken which (if it is) will prevent the basic settings from setting correctly.

  9. Yeah they said this. But i dont know you can see and hear in this video.
  10. If they say its a motor, can you not swap it over from your cracked one? Ive never seen a motor fail in an undamaged light, normally broken wires from moving the unit up and down, think Ive seen a tech bulletin for this but on Audi rather than Skoda.
  11. No. Just a good source for cheap components! I’ll edit my post above. Found some other potential wires.
  12. I get that But scala with the 1.5 petrol engine be good for motorway driving
  13. @Binx1310 ThanQ for the info I’ll look at it when the new cables I’ve just ordered arrive …. 🤔🤔 do you have shares in Aliexpress by any chance??? 😂 @Sheriff when you changed the fuel filter did you have to do anything special??? I know on my Passats and my exeo I had to use VCDS to prime the filter but they were inline filters not “drop in “ replacements
  14. Superbs are so long. Most of the time in the city center I have to parallel park and there is a huge difference is parking a car that is 4.3m and one that is 4.9m. Unfortunately manufacturers nowadays put the best equipment in their executive cars which are all too long for my liking. Almost noone makes high quality interior cars with good engines around the 4.4-4.5m mark.
  15. Yeah so i bought two headlights with new oem numbers (2023) the driver site works well but the passanger side not do the calibrazion when i turn on the engine. There is not a single error or code in vcds. I went with it to my dealership but they says to me that the calibration motor get bed inside it.
  16. Welcome to the forum. Are you sure the indication you are seeing is low oil level - or could it be low oil pressure ?
  17. Oil and filter, air, fuel and cabin filters all changed today. Brake discs are all looking worn/pitted, so will need changing when pads are down. Probably aided by the storm in Blackpool a couple of weeks ago!!

  19. Inoperative SS could simply be low battery SOC due to it sitting on the Stealer lot for a while - but it could also be due to a failing battery!
  20. Welcome to the forum. I'd consider it a very reasonable expectation for the vehicle maintenance schedule to be fully up to date, particularly as it was being sold through the Skoda Approved Used system. Has the brake/clutch fluid been replaced at the recommended intervals?
  21. 1.5l petrol 150bhp Manual MK3 superb Did a 320mile journey not long ago Average 45mpg Not bad for a big car with a small petrol engine I was surprised how well it gets to motorway speeds when your in 3rd and 4th I think the 1.5l would be perfect for what you need

  23. Title: Škoda Approved Used – should outstanding scheduled maintenance have been completed before sale? I'd appreciate some opinions from experienced Škoda owners, particularly anyone familiar with the Approved Used programme. I've recently purchased a 2019 Octavia vRS Challenge DSG from an authorised Škoda dealership in North Wales. The car had covered approximately 41,500 miles and cost £19,250. It was sold through the Škoda Approved Used programme and came with a 12-month Škoda Approved Used warranty. I was provided with the vehicle's service history printout. The first three years were serviced through Škoda, followed by a period where the car was serviced by an independent garage, and then a more recent service. The dealership also gave me an A4 preparation sheet listing various items they had attended to before collection. However, shortly after purchasing the car, I contacted my local Škoda dealership in Worthing and asked them to check the vehicle's maintenance requirements using its registration number. Their system identified three outstanding items: Engine air filter – £55 Spark plugs – £140 Front differential oil service – £199 Total: £394. These were identified as due according to the vehicle-specific maintenance information in Škoda's system. I also have an issue with the Start/Stop system, which isn't functioning and hasn't done since I bought it. I've contacted the selling dealership to ask whether they would contribute towards the outstanding maintenance. Their response so far is that the service history documentation was discussed before purchase and that they cannot contribute towards additional work. My question is: When buying a vehicle through the Škoda Approved Used programme, would you reasonably expect the dealer to have checked the manufacturer's service schedule and completed any outstanding scheduled maintenance before handing the car over? I appreciate that it's a used car and that not every service item necessarily needs replacing before sale. However, I thought part of the reassurance of buying Approved Used was that the vehicle would be properly prepared and its maintenance brought up to date. Has anyone had a similar experience with Škoda Approved Used or another manufacturer's approved used scheme? I'd particularly welcome opinions from anyone who has worked in a Škoda dealership or is familiar with the Approved Used inspection process. I'm trying to establish whether my expectations are reasonable and whether it's worth pursuing this further with the selling dealership. Thanks in advance.
  24. Dealers can supply it I just got a 6 page full PDF of my build
  25. Looking at a facelift S3 next weekend. Fingers crossed
  26. Just looked the numbers up, both valid for S3, also shows those numbers as left hand drive versions. If you swap your modules over, it shouldnt need coding, but will deffo need alignment with workshop equipment. Not tried out my Beissbarth MLD 9000 on matrix lights yet,(bought cheap for retrofit of LED lights on T6 Vans) may get a chance if I buy the car I'm looking at next weekend. I can't find anything published why they wont fit on ETKA, PR numbers are the same for both. Always a bit of a gamble not using the same numbers, both numbers are valid so one may be a high and one a low version.
  27. No warranty! Doesn’t even need to be powered tailgate. If you find the central locking motor in the rear lid. Thin grey / blue wire (circled in brown below. Ignore the red one. That’s incorrect) gives switched earth that will energise when boot open. This is how the standard trunk lights (w18 and w35 on the diagram) are switched in the hatch so should be no issue. You can splice in the wire anywhere or make y connection at the plug. You would also need a constant live and it needs to be one that is live with ignition off. The only one I’ve found from wiring diagrams is on the illumination for the button to close the rear lid. Red/blue wire in pin 1 on the plug. The other side of this illumination is the grey/blue wire (pin 4) already mentioned so potentially you could take a feed from both at the connection to the button. I think these are the right plugs: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EwDOgHg You would just need to cut a rectangular hole in the plastic in a strategic position to install the lights.

  29. Hi guys I have the same problem with my MK3 Octavia 1.8tsi , the error just started few months ago so I thought it was a faulty sensor , which does not show up on a obd scan Thinking it was a faulty sensor I went ahead and got that changed by cross referencing the part number from the old sensor 03C 907 660 M 6PR 009629-05 I bought the part from TPS but I did not get the exact part number on the sensor , cause apparently they changed the part number 06K 907 637 B , fitted It to my car and it didn't make any difference so i thought maybe because the part numbers are different that it failed to rectify, then I ended up on this Czech website called Skoda parts and looked for a sensor with the engine,model... and so on it said that a Hella part would be the right one so I ordered that without doing any research because it had the part number from my old sensor along with another number 03C 907 660 T 03C 907 660 M Now I've fitted the sensor today while doing an oil change and the problem is still there , what do I do ?
