Upgrades for a 2017 4x4 TDi - what else have you done to yours ?
Lighting in the load area is abysmal, a change to an LED bulb makes it a bit brighter but I fitted short LED strips to the upper C pillar facing forwards and the same underneath which now means I can load or find things in the dark. I left the interior lights as they were, I think that should be softer lighting, the small LED map reading lights look like they do nothing but are surprisingly effective in the area they are intended to illuminate, not sure how the same internal design team could have done such a good and such a bad job at the same time.

Front lights replacement
That must be an internal conflict. Severely restricted vision if you go for it.

Airbag light on after flat battery
No need to drive down the road, just roll forwards a few feet and you should then get proper control of the engine revs. You are in good company, I made the same mistake when rebuilding my accident damaged Yeti, I had not at that stage replaced the deployed airbags or moved the vehicle from where I was working on it and came to the same incorrect conclusion, the forum put me right.

2014 Octavia Scout Mk III 4x4 issues
Quite right, garage BS101 and not even a good attempt, worthy of 1 out of 10 at most. I do like the idea of the rear wheels having consciousness and making the decision though 😁

Left or Right?
And did you analyse the instruction and ask yourself if it was plausible? If my car is very hot, left out in the sun, like getting in an oven compared to the already hot outside I leave it on external air meaning the AC can drop the inside temperature quicker by expelling the hot air and cooling cooler air. Once driving when the inside has cooled somewhat if I then switch to recirc the AC will be able to get the inside of the car to a lower temperature than on the fresh air setting, pretty much the opposite of what you have been told. I only moved South 2 years ago, its a lot hotter than I have experienced before, we can have months over 40°c so I have wised up, people wiser than me spend time looking for the shaded parking spaces 😁

Superb MK3 2.0 tdi 150 manual
I did not suggest that you did. I am happy buying a car that is worth the money that the seller is asking for it, its a reasonable assumption that the OP was happy with the price he paid and also that the seller was open with him, probably not so happy to be told that he has bought a ticking time bomb especially when the vehicle is well under the cam belt inspection limit and at less than a half of the mileage that I change mine at. There is zero correlation between what happened on the sellers previous vehicle and what might happen on the one he has sold, your comment imploring the OP to discuss the deal that he struck was and is inappropriate as was the ticking time bomb. But hey, each to their own!

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Do you not mean the edge between the seats in the 3rd row? Its difficult to imagine what you refer to from the description, if its the above and the dog is kept behind the 3rd row then it is because row 3 has 2 seats in a space only slightly less than the three in row 2 and they are spaced for passenger comfort as indeed are the front seats.

What if the car was priced accordingly? It does not sound like the seller was trying to hide anything so why should he be expected to pay the next owners running costs? When people try that with me it is the end of the negotiations and I politely explain that my vehicle is not for them, it is often followed by a "Wot, ain't my money good enuff for yer?" to which I respond once again politely in the affirmative.

When your car is being serviced etc, would you expect your car to be covered by your insurance or the garages/dealers?
That is not how the first paragraph is written, the second question yes, it was probably be an open question, my use of the plural was for the 2 questions you addressed to me. You (that is yourself and not an open statement) even referred to me using "you" and not "one"

Please dont ask me questions that I cannot possibly have the knowledge to answer.

Phone mount
No its the seller who has no stock at present and wants to keep the listing live, it can be a real PITA to relist things whereas adjusting a price can be done with one click. I used to do it with Booking.com

For the same reason that if your vehicle is stolen by travellers while you are in bed and has an accident your insurers will pay out the 3rd party even though you dont have "any driver" cover. My Taxi driver pal got T boned by a stolen pick up truck being chased by the Police after the occupants had stolen the cashbox from a railway station ticket machine, he suffered major trauma, lost his vehicle and livelyhood and could not walk for 18 months, he had the unenviable task of having to claim for his losses and personal injury from the innocent landscape gardener who was asleep in bed at the time, who did not get paid out for his Ute also lost his livelyhood and whose insurance rocketed afterwards. The passenger of the stolen vehicle was killed in the crash, they had run a red light and T boned my friend crossing on green, later that night relatives of the deceased stormed the hospital ward and tried to attack my friend while he was in a coma. He wasn't there and therefore has no version of events.

MOT Advisories, thoughts?
No correlation between the two, the first is a slightly warped disc, in fact its not warping which would not show up on the brake rollers but the disc thickness varying around the circumference or glazed patches. The second is of concern because someone has been bodging, taken with all the other anomalies are you sure that you haven't bought a Cat N write off or an uninsured repaired vehicle?

I thought your old Superb was involved in a collision with another vehicle, was it written off by a car wash machine?

Recirculating air lever stuck
I intervene when you post nonsense that people might believe, the rest of the time I interact with you as with any other contributor. And to your credit you have (eventually) stopped some of the most repetitive nonsense on your subjects of obsession like: Long low slow battery charge preferably off the vehicle. If the battery has been slowly discharged you should slowly recharge it. You may need to drive at least 20 miles to replace the charge lost when starting. Disconnect your battery to reset the ECU. And my all time favorite, find a 35mm cube of medium density sponge to apply Gummiflege to your door rubbers. Closely followed by the hopefully one off "If vehicle is parked in an underground car park then the brake fluid will need changing more frequently"

Caliper rebuild piston size
I get laziness but nobody can be 100% sure what caliper is fitted to your vehicle and what the piston size is, you dont want to order the wrong parts. Alternatively ask Eurocraparts and whichever size they say buy the other one 🤣

High Mileage Club
It is still not run in, another 100k and it should consume so little that you might check the level between services but never need to top up, if it does not get driven under sustained heavy loads during that time the oil consumption may remain as is but certainly wont increase. The above was not a joke, modern engines and especially modern oils are so good that most vehicles never get properly run in during their lifetime, but then they dont have to be rebuilt every 80-100K either, topping up with a small amount of oil is a small price to pay.

Problem getting in
Move the seat further back. Check the height adjutment really is at the lower position and not blocked by something stored under the seat. The problem usually is the A pillar, I brained myself every time I would drive my UK neighbours car, his wife is a PORG and a ferocious one at that so whilst she rarely drives his car he dare not re-adjust the seat to a normal driving position and has to drive it hunched over the wheel and squeeze himself in and out. Those who don't know what a PORG is will not be Tom Sharpe readers!

Abs light
Must have. Would have. And brakes. Apologies but the last 2 postings tipped me over the edge. Off to look for some prollys on Facebook now 🤣
