Thought I might start the ball rolling with this - received mine from Lithuania a couple of days ago - in a small jiffy bag with the pro code attached. I downloaded the latest app version from google play

plugged in the dongle to the OBD port, switched on bluetooth on my phone and paired them - pairing code is 1234

 

next i became very frustrated - I used the app, created a profile, entered my pro code (with my profile showing up as a pro user) but didn't seem to be able to connect to any of the features that allow tinkering. After a while I gave up, disconnected everything and had another look online realising that even though I had entered the pro code, I was only looking at the basic version interface. I wondered if it needed disconnected then reconnected to activate the pro features so went back out to car again

ignition on, dongle in, paired automatically now  via bluetooth, opened app and now have access to all the tweaking features

 

the only things I have fiddled so far are to disable the seatbelt warning and altered some of the default radio settings

 

there are a list of adaptions on the obdeleven boards that i have printed off and will try in due course (starting with enable high beam assist)

TL;DR - fiddly to get activated but seems similar set of functions to what I have seen of VCDS ross-tech

 

(I'm going to use this very cautiously as don't want to screwup my new vRS )

 

drls blinking in phase with indicator done changed to blinking out of phase as i didn't realise in phase is illegal 

indicators now blink 4 times instead of 3 (do coding then reset lights to factory settings, then it works)

enabled both rear fogs

enabled front fogs for cornering

disabled seatbelt warning chime

adjusted soundaktuator level

enabled refuel quantity in maxidot and changed units to liters rather than gallons

enabled high beam assist and adjusted activation/deactivation speed settings and made state persistent after ignition off

enabled rear teardrop wipe

enabled traffic sign recognition (OBD11 menus are a little harder to navigate for this one as they are named slightly different than the vcds instructions)

enabled passenger mirror to dip on selecting reverse

enabled lap timer

disabled warning chime when stop/start activated and drivers door is opened

Hill hold assist duration! 3 seconds is rubbish, I'd buy it just for that!

Just been looking at the screenshots in the play store. Am I right that there are no text descriptions for what the bits do in each byte of a control module?

Does most of what VCDS does but not quite so user friendly and a bit more risky as I dont think you can back up the config before making changes.

Good for small tweaks if you really know your stuff but id want to use VCDS for anything big

Looks like a good alternative to VCDS. Has anyone used it to activate High Beam Assist on a vRS? Might be worth the £40 or so just for that - and the diagnostic features.

The only thing it does for me is disable start stop, I might be keen if I could adjust soundaktor and activate traffic updates. I suppose for the price it ain't too bad even if traffic could be switched off.

Could not see anywhere if this will enable power tailgate closing from keyfob and interior switch.

And to disable the annoying beep beep beep when power tailgate in operation.

I can confirm that the tailgate closing from both locations can be enabled - I have done it for mine
