I've built a small 8" subwoofer for my Fabia It's designed to fit snugly in the "basket" in the trunk and have a quick connection so it's easy to remove if needed.  If someone wants to see

  • Just bought my monte carlo a few weeks ago.    Only done a few mods to it so far.   I've lowered it on eibach springs (30/45mm) and sprayed the badges black.    Also clay

There’s a section that states delivery options but it doesn’t give me any!

A "quick" little update about JBS Auto Designs' new hybrid turbo - JBSL12 Hybrid Turbo for EA211 1.2TSI engines.

I'll let the following image speak for itself. Stock intake, stock exhaust.

Sport Cat or Decat should let it reach 200bhp as the exhaust is choking it, though the HPFP might need an upgrade for much more than 180 as it's starting to lose rail pressure a touch (that might be where the cutting issues were coming in with the 1.4tsi turbo swap).

Picking the car up friday so might be a few minor alterations but this is how it's looking.

Is anyone Manchester based that can recommend somewhere good for remapping? Had it done already at rhino remaps bury and could feel the difference massively at first but now the cars slower again as if the maps disappeared

It looks exactly like a photoshopped car will for social media use.

A digitally altered image.

For real physical lowering for static show cars it can be ratchet straps used to lower them and reduce the wheel to arch gap.

Does this Fabia MK3 combi look like it's lowered? The wheel arch gaps look smaller than ones I've seen on the roads, or at dealers. It's got a hint of lowered Octavia vRS about its stance.

I know I'm a month late, but that sounds more like a maintenance issue if the car feels less powerful and more sluggish, checking the condition of the spark plugs, oil and air filter should be your first troubleshooting step.

Its been a while since I updated the progress on my car here, and I've done quite a few more things recently including coilovers and spacers.

(Second pic doesn't have spacers)

its hard to get right, but its not my thing. but i fully respect what your doing.

I can also recommend ST X coilovers. Had them installed couple of months ago and I don't have any complains about them, really good for the price. Ride quality is ok (definitely u feel every bump), but the car feels 100x sharper then before. Note that you can't slam the back all the way, if u into that, as it sits really high to begin with and u can only adjust height.

Capture.JPG

Remove the rear adjuster seats and you gain about 20mm drop on the rears, make sure you cut the bump stops a tad also.

Yo!

what wheel dimensions you guys running? Im just on stock 7Jx16 ET46. 100mm front 75 rear with shortened drop links

and how much are you lowered by front and back. (and what shocks/springs you running?)

also if your running shortened drop links up front?

I'm still running the stock monte carlo wheels for now, but I will go up to something like 17×7.5 et35.

Coilovers on mine are Stance+, 65mm drop at the front, 75mm drop at the rear, also got shortened drip links.  Front wheels have 15mm spacers, rear wheels have 20mm spacers.

It has a rear muffler delete on the exhaust, however that will eventually become a full 2.5 inch downpipe and catback.

Full MST induction kit, including the turbo elbow, and a silicone charge pipe with a forge blow off valve, however I will soon be changing the bov to a hks style sequential bov.

Few other mods here and there including light and window tints, rear wiper delete, HID conversion and more.

Theres also a pretty huge list of things still to do.....

I run a ST X. Mine is a little lower tjan yours and soft. My alloys are 7,5x18” et39,5 with 215/35 and they scratch the top screw that holds the innerfender

What size spacers do you have and how does it look? Looking to get spacers for mine

I went for 15mm spacers on the front and 20mm spacers on the rear, and I bought extended black tuner style bolts to go along with the spacers.

And as far as other mods go, i also got some cheap splitter and side skirt extensions to make the car look even lower.

Got 16mm Forge spacers on the rears on mine today,

No description available.

Gives it a far more agressive look from behind. 20mm would probably look ever so slightly better still but i didn't want to risk rubbing on big bumps given i'm not on stiff coil or anything, plus i got the spacers + bolts from someone on facebook for fairly cheap compared to a new set lol.

Hi everyone, I hope you've all been well during these turbulent times. Hopefully you're all still enjoying your cards avoid of any issues. I had to book my Fabia's first MOT today for the end of September - it will be interesting to see if the modifications I've made will pass. Would any of you have any experience with MOT centres and lowered cars, if so, is there ever an issue?

Aside from MOT, I'm currently looking for replacement mudflaps - would any of you know where I could get hold of a good set?

I'd love to see any new modifications/additions you guys have made - I got myself a new set of wheels last June, not something I normally go for but I love them to bits. Smaller than my last set at 15 or 16" I believe, they sit a little bit out from the wheel arch which I love too. Unfortunately, similar to my last set of diamond cut alloys, they've succumbed to corrosion despite the application of a ceramic coating before fitting. I live in a seaside town, this is perhaps why this happens!

Best,

Cody

Had mine done last winter and they just moaned about the ride height and made me pay for new bushings on the front wishbones, also if youve had any issues with your TPMS they may replace sensors as 3 years is about the span. other than that you should be fine.

Hello all.

Recently purchased this 1.2 Monte Carlo Estate and I'd like to do some exterior/ cosmetic mods but am struggling to find some decent stuff for it, namely a spoiler extender/ lip. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. ☺️ I would like to have a ducktail style one like the hatch does but I know that's a bit ambitious. Will be getting carbon fibre wrap detailing done to the front and rear "splitters", side skirt, and mirrors. Also might yellow the fogs as I like that look.

Will post updates. Cheers

I've worked on quite a few Fabias for people, the TRC and Maxton splitters and sideskirts for the polo 6c/6r will fit, we are however limited with spoiler choice.  I havent been able to confirm if the spoiler extensions from maxton will fit.  You do have the option of a massive tailgate mounted spoiler, but they aren't to most people's taste.

If you want a budget friendly option, spend £5 on an ebay rubber splitter.  I did it to mine at the start of the year and a few people have followed suite.  Its a cheap option, and done right it looks quite good.  You also have the added benefit of extra durability, as the TRC and Maxton splitters are known for braking on speed bumps and kerbs if you have a lowered car.  If you want to go a step further, you can also use the rubber splitter as a sideskirt.  (picture of the cheap option below)

How did you get them out? I have been looking at them and trying to remove them for a LED upgrade but I have so far failed.

Mine were extremely tight and when I eventually got one out, the clip was badly distorted and of course broke in half the moment I attempted to straighten it. I wrapped the rear of the lamp with tape to hold it back  in place and ordered a pair of LED replacements from aliexpress at which time I will remove the other one.
