Lost Tailgate Led lights animation when unlocking the car ๐
I tried Audi style dimming tailgate lights when indicators are on. I reverted changes but animation was lost and I can't get it back. At the moment I turned it completely off so it doesn't annoy me ๐. Odb 11 will be a fix once I get it. Apart from that Car Scanner is quite good tool for some adaptations but deeper coding like lane assist or matrix headlights its a no-no for it.

Electronic boot struts
I'm not 100%sure but I think the right hand one stopped working and the left one could take a certain amount of the weight but not the full weight. I know this because if i lift it helping it would go up.

Electronic boot struts
Yeah didnโt think bout that but itโs really very simple. You have to pop off a small piece of trim at the rear of the side window. Undo the 2 plug clips. Will be obvious which ones. Then follow the strut rubber sleeve and pull out of the bodywork. To remove the actually strut itโs held on by 3 retaining staples that you lever up but not off. This releases the socket off the ball on the car. Am sure there must be a video somewhere. If it helped Skoda local dealer wanted about 440 quid for the job. All in was about 20 mins and 50 quid on eBay

Lost Tailgate Led lights animation when unlocking the car ๐
I canโt help with this issue directly Iโm afraid. But I use carscanner too and have found the coding history to be a bit hit and miss. A good tip is to take screen shots of the standard code before changing anything then you have a record of what it was when you started. What were you trying to code originally that lost the animation?

Lost Tailgate Led lights animation when unlocking the car ๐
Hi All! Recently after some of coding sessions with Car Scanner on my Superb mk3 2020 2.0 TSI SEL I lost animation / swipe away on my tailgate lights when car is unlocked. When I lock it, it swipes away correctly, indicators are dynamic when used (hazard on, locking/unlocking or indicating)... First things first - I reverted changes in coding history but it changed nothing. I then started to adjust settings in Lightning adaptations. Sometimes it was causing animation to disappear completely, lights were constantly on or it would cause flickering so I gave up. My last set is in the screenshot. I also changed dimming value to 100 in case car will not accept 127. It did not work. Anyone had similar issue and got it sorted using Car Scanner? I am trying to get someone with obd11 or vscd to help me as I know its so much easier to get it right with text adaptations. Many thanks!

Seats in the Peaq
Hi, Iโm looking at getting a Skoda Peaq and Iโm trying to decide between getting the Sportline with relax and pan roof option or the Edition with standard or relax option. Iโm 6 foot five and my concern is that the Sportline seats will be less comfortable than the Edition, but I am not sure. Comfortable seats are my priority. If there is no disadvantage with the relax seats in the Sportline I would go for that. I would welcome any advice. This will be a salary sacrifice lease car for three years so I am happy to order it unseen, because I like Skodas but I have not been able to find a dealer that has the car in stock to sit in it.

Unfortunately the one I pasted above is the full content of that page, there is no further information. I have no idea why the software version is blank.

Rear light fade-on issue
I had a weird incident the other day. Boot was open and right-side boot lid sidelight was flickering/strobing. Closed the lid and it stopped on the way down never to have done it again. Tbh as long as I donโt have to spend what I guess is a stupid amount of money getting a replacement Iโm happy.

Columbus Map Update 2026-2027 (MIB2 HIGH)
The question came up about RoW so we went back to 453 RoW.... we just need 473 ๐. Why 450 series started to be talked about since 453 had been found but not 473 and @viper42 told me how to read off the navigation FeCs in the file. That had been a ten year quest of mine to fine where they were stored in the file, not that you can change them in the file but in the unit.

Should I Choose an Octavia?
Thank you for your reply Mihai23. The infotainment problem must be so frustrating for you and the other owners who have had it. Hopefully Skoda have fixed new cars but who knows the if the same or a new problem will show up after a few years of use. I think that cars now are so complicated that manufacturers are unable to produce a product that just works. Do many owners actually want all the bells and whistles?

Electronic boot struts
not strictly correct. had another try and the boot will open about 6" then stop and start bleeping at me. I then have to manually open and close. I`m guessing this is not a wire break or it wouldnt open at all, any ideas?

Sound Upgrade
An update to my previous post after rear doors speakers installation: 1. I would not recommend re-shaping plastic connectors with a knife exactly the way I described in my previous post. I tried to keep some existing raised guides on the Skoda plastic connector for tighter fit. But, due to that, I had to reverse the connector and the polarity of the connection. This should negatively affect sound quality (though it still was better than original speakers). If use this approach, better cut off all the guides and insert the connector in the correct position. My assumption that "red goes to +" was wrong. In fact, both the original and Focal speakers have a "+" sign on the right-hand side of the connector, so the wire that originally went to the right should also go to the right in the new installation. 2. I bought and used VW 1J0972704 connectors, they are perfect fit to Focal. Disassembling Skoda connectors was not as easy, I had to cut it in pieces by side cutters and heat the remains of the plastic with a hair dryer to release metal parts. Assembling was just insert and click. 3. I used IS VW 155 speakers for the rear doors because their smaller size makes installation easier. With the wider IS VW 165 it was quite complicated, as I couldn't position my rivet tool over the hole at a right angle.

The Superb III Picture thread
Thanks for your response - much appreciated. When I scan for stations (DAB) I don't see the ones I want, namely Gold Radio and Smooth Radio. I can get them via CarPlay but I'd rather have them preset into the radio itself.

The Superb III Picture thread
Welcome to the forum. A very nice looking car. Almost identical mileage to mine currently. With the radio stations, tune to the station you want and then press and hold on one of the big square presets in the row along the middle of the screen until it beeps. This will then be saved. If the logo doesnโt save automatically these can be uploaded from an SD card.
