Re-map on a 2.0tdi 2013
I would go with someone like Racingline mate as they will not push the car beyond what it’s happy with. They have a map for that engine as the wrote it on my Octavia 184 2013 car. Well a company called shark did and he is now the software director for Racingline. They should still have the files.

Can I enable Indirect (ABS wheel sensor based) TPMS on 2012 Yeti SE?
No signal chime during coding, but I do see the dash symbol and sometimes it's flashes. It seems this process involves at least two things - The ABS controller 03, and instruments 17. VCDS gives me the long coding helper and check boxes to code bits to enable TPMS. Perhaps Ross Tech got something wrong and I should look further into how the bytes are coded. I don't think Skoda want MY12 Yeti to have ABS TPMS! Give me some time, I'll screen grab all vcds long coding screens with TPMS tick boxes and hope somebody can make sense of them or suggest something has to be done that's missing. My white screen display did once add TPMS and a reset option to the settings menu, but this was after I code enabled every entry in vcds refering to TPMS. Then I got a bunch of Gateway errors. My older V.W has nothing in the Gateway list enabled for ABS TPMS. There were 2 options in my Yeti Gateway controller list - 4C and another at 6? Although each can be enabled, they error on scan with no communication because it seems they are additional hardware controllers (I suspect for internal tyre sensors?) I thought taking it for a short drive it would learn sufficient to flag the large tyre pressure change but it didn't change anything. I've found a relatively cheap TPMS switch kit with wiring on Ali, but I'm not optimistic. It appears to have a local indicator backlight led wiring. I would be better reassured if after pressing the switch there was an acknowledgement of some kind 'ding' or dash symbol flash. I've already read the post link instructions from langers2k and tried it several times. You will see mention of module 4C (Tire Pressure II) which the OP added to the Gateway list. I also get the new Tyre pressure section in MFD settings. But MY12 knows nothing about 4C and won't communicate when enabled and what is 'Tyre Pressure II', something different to Tyre Pressure or TP 1? Do you guys have module 4C showing in your Gateway list without error codes?

List with Convenience Consumers is empty
Hi guys, My list with Convenience Consumers is empty! recently I made retrofit from MIB1 -> MIB2 unit (5Q0 035 864 C) but I have a problem with a "convenience Consumers". There is no consumer in the list but the bar in the bottom is moving (for example, when I turn on AC, the value in bar is increasing) but there is no consumer in the list. Everything is working, DTC memory is clear but this is still not working. On one forum I found these adaptations, which I checked but values are correct. What should be my problem? Anyone can help? Thank you. Where is my oil light!?
Thank you Alasdair1, that looks like my situation with the lights, the ignition light is on so the engine hasn't started, but the oil light isn't there apart from the warning (which I don't have). I know it has both level checking and pressure checking, but wasn't sure how it responds to one or both.

Pathetic single tone horn upgrade
I did this many years ago when my wife got her first MK3 I think, Fiesta, then I transferred it to her next Fiesta. Our older daughter bought a new SEAT Ibiza 1.4 SC in 2009 - and it had only one horn, sounded very "nasty", probably stopped me using the horn when I looked after that car for a couple or so years later on.

Re-map on a 2.0tdi 2013
Hi, Long term lurker, first time poster! I've just had a dsg service and was looking to get a re-map. The car has done 147000 miles and was wondering if it's worth giving her a little more power. Anyone done it? Pros and cons please Many thanks

Fabia ECU kit
If you mean this by climate control unit Have seen quite a few on ebay for aprox £30-£50 but quite a few are in Lithuania etc. There are a few different parts numbers/designs depending on age of car. Depending on whats wrong with yours it may be repairable? Not sure re flash file. Did read that it may be possible to wipe ECU and reprogram but have no idea what is involved. I read it requires a specific file to suit ECU part number. Alasdair

Pathetic single tone horn upgrade
The Fabia Mk4's single horn's performance was previously criticised here last year https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/530845-feeble-horn/#comment-5926126 The standard horn's sound quality and output don't concern me enough to bother swapping it for something more tuneful/savage, but it's useful (for me) to learn exactly what's involved in removing a foglight just in case a bulb-replacement should ever be needed.

Just been looking at a low mileage Mk2 Octavia, looking for some second opinions
Welcome to the forum. Your concerns about the DSG would tend to suggest it's a wise decision to leave it. Sounds expensive too, if exterior condition is as you describe - also a little odd given the interior condition.

And just had some show car vibes in the Skoda Attending The Drivers Collection , Mathewsons live and a few others 🖤 not a bad summer, she goes to the body shop Saturday for the new custom painted genuine landing panel, radiator, air con condenser and a couple of bits sorting (may paint the front bumper and fit the Milltek vents) and then the work for next year starts with a re trim, if anyone can help me locate some alcantara or suede that matches the silver/white floor carpet as the door card on my side has delaminated 🫣 I did get a new steering wheel from @mr_trim_it on insta which is to go on too 😎👍

Just been looking at a low mileage Mk2 Octavia, looking for some second opinions
Hi all, looking to pick some Octavia experts' brains. I've just been to look at a low mileage (51k) 2007 Octavia 1.9 TDi DSG Elegance, but there are a few things I'm not sure about and I'm second guessing myself a bit. I think part of it is it's all the money at £3k for a 19 year old car, and while it presents very well, is mint inside, comfortable and drives very well, very dry and clean underneath with no oil leaks etc, it's a bit shy of mint outside; it's had paint on the nearside doors and picked up a new scrape on the rear arch since, there are two or three dings on the doors, the paint's bubbling on the offside rear arch, and it really needs a new set of tyres - the fronts are old, and the rears for some reason are winter tyres! Part of it, though, is that there were a few things I wasn't comfortable with on the drive. At between about 38 and 52 there's an odd, low pitched and quite noticeable droning noise which seems to come from the front, and sounds like a harmonic or intake noise; it's enough to make the drive a bit unpleasant between 40 and 50. I struggled with the gearbox a bit, and I'm not sure if it's the gearbox or me; I found it a bit clunky and not smooth to shift. When accelerating gently from a standstill it seemed to creep, then surge with a bit of a thump, and the gear changes weren't always as smooth as I'd expect from a conventional automatic. It also seemed to surge while I was trying to creep into a parking spot. I also struggled with visibility. At a couple of junctions where I needed to see to the left the nearside A post seemed to almost completely block the view, and I had to dodge around to check the road was clear. It might be something you get used to, but it seemed to me it'd be very easy to miss a car coming from the left and get into trouble. I think I'm going to leave it, which seems a shame for what should be a nice low mileage car, but before I do I wanted to get some thoughts from the Octavia experts! Thanks in advance.

My ŠKODA App - Send Route
Further to the Primary user point. Today when I started the car I had to enter email and password, the welcome screen message said my profile had not been accessed for some time. If I didn’t enter it I could drive without Connect services. Initially I got the password wrong it made me Guest again. So being an active Primary user seems to be a requirement.

Dashcams on Elroq
I found this on the internet. Looks like it could be quite an elegant solution to the problem of the big cable loop dangling between the roof liner and the rear tailgate. It’s a magnetic mount for the Nextbase rear camera which clips directly onto the edge of the roofliner, so you don’t need to stick the camera to the tailgate at all. I guess the only downside is that there’s more chance of catching it while loading bulky objects into the boot. https://www.dashcams.co.uk/post/magnetic-nextbase-rear-dashcam-mount-updated-vehicle-compatibility-list-customer-reviews-2026
