Today 150 miles done in 2 3/4 hours. Half Motorway & with 20 miles range left. from a £3.50 Home charge. Charging now @ 55 pence a kWh so it will be £25 to get home with enough miles range for any diversions & hopefully no need to charge. Likely slower going home with traffic & time of day. No plan for keeping the speed down below the speed limits, or drafting or switching off the AC. Smallish battery and if even just 5% battery left and 10 miles to go i would stop and put in some charge as anything can happen in that 10 or so miles.

Personally I find Tpylons more visually intrusive due to the solid thicker columns, as opposed to traditional lattice pylons. Also the height they are at is more related to conductor type and not the pylon itself

Surely the sensible thing to do is to accept what the car is telling you in order to do your very best not to get stranded. I tend to find just cruising with the trucks, safe distance but bit of aero assist so around the 56 mph they are doing. Would not do 50 mph and mess up the trucks by forcing them to pass. False economy, better to do 56 in their slip stream. You don't work 25 years in logistics, and have an uncle who owned/ ran 50 Artics, and have lots of sympathy for truckers. I like trucking and I like to truck.

Is this purely Motorways in England with EV drivers that are on a go slow because too tight to pay public charging? @lol-lol did the same in ICE vehicles to hypermile. I did sometimes, but i would use a fast Coach that apparently had no max speed limits and would be happy to exceed even 70 mph. Winter night time i did draft hgv,s in my Corsa E. But twice was stopped by police because tgey were high value whiskey lorries anx the drivers called thd police. ABERDEEN bypass.

He is not as smart as he thinks he is. Tesla are known, like Renaults, for having substantial sub 0% buffers. He makes too much of being a few miles short of range to charging station. He recently moved from a S to an 3. According to Bjorn Nylands testing and did over 30 miles past 0% SoC. Drama queen who should know better.

Partly explains the congestion on the motorways, having to keep to 60 in the 2nd lane to overtake Lorries but maintain your range? if you're that worried stay behind them.

Hi all, What is the signs of a failed PCV valve.. On tick over the car is a bit lumpy, Taking the oil filer cap off when the engine is running, There is a vacuum pulling the filler cap back down and the engine revs speed up. Don't know if this is a sign or not? Thanks..

Interesting video by Dave Takes It On, where he tests ignoring the system on a Tesla which is telling him that he needs a charging stop to complete the planned trip. Then the car suddenly tells him (which he knew it would) that if he were to keep below 50mph, he should be able to make the trip and arrive with about -3% of range left. So, is it another way to slow down travel in the interests of road safety? The same argument that Wales used when dropping 30mph roads down to 20mph? Similar to what our government are planning to do on rural roads?

@lol-lol you posted before about new pylons. These are not what are planned to run up and down and across Scotland. The High Energy Transmission network upgrades in Scotland are being planned and carried out by 2 private organisations not the National Grid. Also not a Public Organisation.

Quick question: have you actually seen any evidence of this spacing and animals / crops using the space created? I personally have not; there are loads of solar farms near me, and they all seem to cram in as many panels into a field as they can, along with all the controllers and grid connections. I'm puzzled just as to how having solar farms is protecting the waterways. The farmers are saying that they are being encouraged to take land out of production, and this is leading to ever more importation of food crops that they could be growing. Isn't that just shifting the CO₂ problem onto other countries when they produce extra food for the UK and also the same with the road transportation of those foods to the docks, shipping them across the seas, and then further transportation here in the UK?
