Need MIB3 software update from 0270 to 0324
Hi, I am trying to update my MIB3 system because version 0270 is very buggy. My software train is MOI3_EU_SKMQB_P27005P. Can someone or @pab567 help me with the download links to do the intermediate update to 0306/0308 and then 0324? Thank you!

Skoda Karoq 2026, 1.5 tsi, petrol - First oil change when?
This is REALLY smart. So I can just go to to the service to official dealer workshop at 29 000km and 58 000km for oil+oil filter change so no problems with warranty. And on my intervals (every 8 000km) I change the oil with vacuum pump! What about the oil filter though? I do not want to have only two oil filter changes in 58 000km! It sounds terrible for the engine, or? If I replace it with exactly same original one, will it be noticed? In previous Skoda 2018 I bought it brand new and did all oil/oil filter/spark plug/brake fluid/G13 to G12evo anticoolant change/brake discs/brake pads (battery measurements still on good intervals ) services myself from brand new 0km to 93 000km that is now, never went to any dealer or workshop so I have few experience with them. Thank you.

Skoda Warranty - Any good?
It's probably a MK3 if its a 200. The equivalent on MK4 is 193. The first two years of warranty are unlimited miles. You can also go with the 'All In' plan once it hits 3 years of age which is good value at (I think) £38 a month. This includes basic servicing, roadside assistance and MOTs as well as a warranty. My dad in law has a MK3 (think its a 190 TDI, so similar) that has topped the 200k miles mark and still going strong so not an unreasonable expectation if maintained well.

Third brake light removal estate mk3.5 VRS
Having exact same problem myself. Seems like they never fail until physically broken. Have everything disassembled and slide clips off but unable to release light assy. Will keep prying 😬

Suggest you contact OBDeleven support about activating the Hill Hold assist-feature on your car. https://obdeleven.com/support?srsltid=AYCX9vIwlFscsdEPBYvC0PS44GKToWgQzUtm4NLBco8rQYEs9xV1V50E There is some online discussion (forums and Facebook) about doing this on Fabia Mk4 cars that do not have the feature as standard. But it may well be that -when the Fabia has been built recently - it will be much harder (or even impracticable ) to modify its software coding to enable/disable the Hill Hold feature. This potential limitation was highlighted here: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/532808-obdeleven-coding-and-adaptations/

ULEZ and other similar schemes we are being told are all about clean air for everybody but are they really just a means of making money from motorists?
Nobody's got time Agreed. Load of nonsense. As is the rest of this topic. Locked.

Google maps error / Android Auto, My Skoda
For the past few months or so I've been having issues with Google maps connecting to Android Auto on my Skoda Octavia, I get an error message coming up saying "Android Auto has encountered an unexpected error". I've never had issues before since I purchased the car back in 2023. I've tried a number of troubleshooting solutions which have temporarily fixed the issue but then when I restart the car it has the same issue. What I've tried is updating android auto via playstore. Clearing cache and clearing data in settings apps for android auto, forgetting my phone n Skoda mobile and restarting the phone and reconnecting. Pressing and holding down the power button to the infortainment system. There are probably other things I've tried but I can't think of at the moment.

It would appear that the massive increase in the use of nitrous oxide as a fertiliser has risen massively, and in 1950 it was 50 million tonnes globally, and by 2000 it had reached 300 million tonnes – that's 6 times. It also turns out that it is 300 times worse than CO₂ for global warming and thus climate change, and as it makes up now, some 8% of the air, it therefore seems logical that it has far more effect than CO₂, so maybe we should be turning the attention away from combustion engines and start looking at ways of drastically cutting the use of nitrous oxide as a fertiliser. It has already been shown that being indoors (at home) exposes us to far higher levels of harmful pollutants than standing at the roadside, especially while cooking is being done, and that would also explain why when air quality monitoring stations are located next to catering facilities such as fast food, cafes and restaurants, those stations measure far higher levels of pollution than those situated right alongside the A406 (the north circular road) in London.- Yesterday

Thanks Cairus, Sounds hopeful, but I have a few questions; have I corrupted some part of the boot process? Is this similar to Amundsen MiB1 Firmware Update process, but off the car? do i need a UART - USB adapter like this little blue board to connect to a laptop? or VCDS? -- I assume the former, otherwise it wouldn't need a workbench. Also I assume the workbench needs a 12V supply do I need specific software or will a terminal CLI do? does the unit have the firmware for reinstallation, like a factory reset or do I need a file as with the Firmware Update process? I notice it mentions creating a Mirror Copy (maybe this is its purpose?) (Intending to update to 0490 when it's working) Hope these aren't too stupid ... Off to look though my collection of manuals, but I'm not sure they cover this sort of thing.- What have you done to your Superb III today?
Completed an 18-day, 2,100 mile loop to Prague and back via the Chunnel. Took my Škoda back to the place of its birth. Never seen so many Škodas. Car ran like a clock. Took the big red bus in for its 10th service and M.O.T. and collected today: passed and no advisories. Best car I ever had. The mechanic offered to buy it, but I'll keep it for another year at least, or until it gives me trouble. I think there's a hybrid in my future if the government doesn't price me off the road...- 2017 diesel 150 DSG 4x4 fuel filter identification
Update: Yes, this one fitted. If anyone else is going to change their fuel filter, (and ideally, you need a diagnostic tool to prime the new one before you start the engine), check whether there's an electrical sensor on the top plate covering the filter housing. If there is, you need the filter with the plastic tube down the side and the spout on the top. If it doesn't, you don't have a water sensor and you need the one without those things (Mahle KX386 is what I went for).Tuhincha joined the community- ULEZ and other similar schemes we are being told are all about clean air for everybody but are they really just a means of making money from motorists?
The majority of those deaths would have been due to decades of earlier pollution. The ulez zones have had less effect than the earlier actions taken which was bringing the levels down as older vehicles were leaving the roads. Annual emissions of PM10 have decreased by 82 per cent since 1970, to 127 thousand tonnes in 2022. They have increased by 1 per cent between 2021 and 2022. Annual emissions of PM2.5 have decreased by 88 per cent since 1970, to 65 thousand tonnes in 2022. They have decreased by 2 per cent between 2021 and 2022. In the UK PM2.5 emissions decreased by 41 per cent between 2005 and 2022. Therefore, in 2022, the UK did meet the 30 per cent emission reduction commitment required between 2020 to 2029 as set out in the NECR. Levels of both pollutants generally decreased between 1970 and the late- 2000s. There are many reasons for this long-term decrease, which covers most emissions sources, but the reduction in the burning of coal and improved emission standards for transport and industrial processes are major drivers. Since the late 2000s annual emissions of PM have generally continued to fall, but the rate of change has reduced. Compared to earlier decades, emission levels have been relatively steady with small annual fluctuations. Considerable decreases in emissions from some sources (e.g. from road transport and energy industries) have been largely offset by increases in emissions from wood burning in domestic settings and from solid fuel burning by industry (particularly the burning of biomass based- fuels). In 2020 PM emissions reached the lowest level since estimates began due to reduced economic activity during the COVID-19 pandemic. https://programmeofficers.co.uk/Highsted/CoreDocuments/CD21%20-%20Air%20Quality%20-%20topic%20specific%20documents/21.1%20Emissions%20of%20air%20pollutants%20in%20the%20UK%20%E2%80%93%20(PM10%20and%20PM2.5),%20DEFRA%20(Feb%202024).pdf- Just been looking at a low mileage Mk2 Octavia, looking for some second opinions
In my opinion, a DSG in good condition should never exhibit clunky changes - I presume that this would be a dry-clutch version. Clunky changes and strange low-speed creeping behaviour might suggest potential issues.- Skoda Warranty - Any good?

Hi, thanks. I don't know much about DSG boxes and have never driven one, so I'm not sure if it's the car or me to be honest. However I think there are enough concerns and things that didn't sit right with me that I don't think it's the car for me, and you're right, it is expensive for what it is. A low mileage, comfortable, economic car is attractive, and if it was cheaper I might go for it. but at that price there's only so much I can ignore!- Considering Kodiaq Sportline PHEV 5 seater
Thanks - appreciated Deal done yesterday and car ordered and expected for late December/January. Have chosen Graphite Grey. Lease details: 3+23, 10k miles for £443 p/m. Cars are already pre-ordered from factory and can't have spec changed. Funder is VWFS and supplying dealer is Johnsons. Choice of pearlescent Black, Graphite Grey, Race Blue and metallic White. Well specced cars with 20" wheels, matrix LEDs and adaptive dampers as standard, but no 360 degree camera (would have had to been able to add Driving Assistance Plus package at £1025 for that) Score of 92 out of 100 for value on LeaseLoco LeaseLocoSKODA Kodiaq 1.5 TSI iV 204 SportLine 5dr DSG Lease: 24 M...Lease a SKODA Kodiaq 1.5 TSI iV 204 SportLine 5dr DSG Over 24 Months with 10000 Miles PA and 3 Months Upfront Today Via LeaseLoco
