Might be worth getting bearings checked if its related to speed. Does it change if turning left and right. Sons fabia was really loud droning but seemed to get better/worse when turning. No obvious play in bearing but was pretty rough and tight when turning wheel. Also if fitted on the scala check the front exhaust flexi hasnt failed. Alasdair
  3. Hmm, so BEV's it seems, should have some regular servicing even though the manufacturers don't seem to think so.
  4. Engine 1.5 Model is SE L TSI PS DSG
  5. @Cqrmine what engine have you! Regardless of which and which DSG it should be into D7 by 50 mph if just poodling along.
  6. I had a troublesome alarm on my old Seat. I removed siren fuse and eventually alarm battery went flat. Indicators still flashed but at least it didnt wake anybody up in the middle of night. Alasdair
  7. I have noticed sometimes when I press the throttle I get a pause then a jerk which made me wonder if the box is OK. Car only covered 11000 miles now. I have not seen D7 in the display; D6 at most yet the spec says the car has 7 speed box. Is that because we haven't driven it fast enough yet? :-)
  8. Hi, what instructions did you use? All 3 pins to connector under steering wheel or 2 pins to connector and 12v pin to fuseboard? Thanks
  9. MY August 2024 reg Karoq has Virtual Pedal. Sometimes works but mostly doesn't. I look damn stupid 'kicking' under the rear bumper when it doesn't work & so rarely bother. The feature seems to be very unreliable judging by many owners experiences. As previously mentioned the Digital Certificate available via MySkoda provides a very comprehensive spec for your specific car.
  10. Thanks. Once I actually get the car I'll try and remember to update you all.
  11. Download the MySkoda app & then download the Digital Certificate. Inspect > Car Details > scroll to bottom. Look for Virtual Pedal. My March 25 built SEL Edition has it & it mostly works. But like most tech, it somehow knows when you need it most & malfunctions then! The infotainment setting to enable is vaguely called Easy Open, under Vehicle > Settings > Opening & Closing..
  12. OBD11 and Carista will not receive an SFD 2 license from VW.
  13. Hello I'm new to this forum and no longer much of DIY mechanic. Would somebody kindly advise if I can change my existing 205/40/ R17 tyres to 205/45s or even 205/50s without messing up the ABS and speedo readings. Thanks for your attention Regards Peter

  16. Not sure which injectors you need but found this on ebay. He may have more than one £36-75 plus three month warranty. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/188720875711?_skw=skoda+2.0+tdi+cr+injectors&itmmeta=01M0PSBKSSNXXA9B374HHDY7NZ&hash=item2bf0a408bf%3Ag%3A7WkAAeSw6QhqbF2E&itmprp=enc%3AAQALAAAA4GfYFPkwiKCW4ZNSs2u11xCYcGQCs9l3X8kE%2ByJzIRgr4wELj29GxGovqjdh44G5e2iEJVYBWS%2BrwFHDXQpA4dEpBP5qDDzvbXpEj8vxo9aoQgaUWNDgcDprRIHg3vm1t56kfobVCBuuxM4A6JzqSu3tIggTt8QBY3ZsAqtTitbYUcgFRoOzIyMd0hwognhxBp0rNKvMYwtT1R%2BIyMXjyj11ZwnQ1XWl8LaBX19EF4eGWckkUBCGJoFVG0LUg6lTBns1vR9WvXU%2BOS4i58w7CjXcgeZyRWzOyC5WGTY6kSAm%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR7C9rtmFaA&LH_ItemCondition=4 Might be a cheaper fix if your thinking of getting rid of car or at least rule out electrics? Alasdair
  17. @ddan1275 The fact that only the spring on one side was replaced already tells the story: The "garage" doesn't understand his job. Suspension parts like springs (and shock absorbers etc) should always be replaced on both sides! The fact that the car is now lower than it should be is another indicator for the poor competence of your "garage". Most likely the new springs are not stiff enough for your Superb. This also leads you to the solution: Go to a proper garage and have them fix your car with quality parts with the correct specifications. You don't have to go OEM, after-market parts from A-grade suppliers (Sachs, ZF etc) are also OK. About you wanting to measure free spring length: That length says absolutely nothing about the spring stiffness, so there is no use in measuring it. In this case your Skoda dealer is right: Just use a set of springs from a well-known brand with the correct color code, and your ride height will be restored. See the attached Word document (sorry, it's in Dutch, but the picture should be clear). The dimension "a" should be 394 ± 10 mm for standard suspension 379 ± 10 mm for sport suspension 414 ± 10 mm for rough road suspension Voorgeschreven waarden achteras.doc
  18. Probably true. Not currently possible with either OBD11 or Carista, so until it is, I'll have to wait.
  19. Thanks mate think this is the issue im having and I've got everything off and just trying to locate the steering lock module. Hopefully get it sorted this week thanks again.
  20. Never had the issue myself….Have you had a look at this post?
  21. NikiB started following Turn steering wheel
  22. Yes I think your right I’ve got a couple places in mind, just need to clarify couple of things with them.
  23. If the autospark is 100% sure wiring is good then you may as well fit two recon injectors. If you dont then I reckon you will have problems selling it or get a lot less than its worth. Hopefully it will cure it and if your still worried about reliability it will be easier to get rid of. Not sure where the best place to get recon injectors from but someone on here may know. Alasdair
  24. Wonder if theres a break further back in wiring loom? Alasdair
  25. There's a setting via the infotainment system which needs to be switched to on. Our car came with it switched off and our salesman told us we didn't have it! Had I not discovered the setting we'd have assumed it wasn't there.
  26. Due to the change in the mirrors, the LED part number has also changed: 5E6949145 5E6949146 This should clarify which mirrors are being installed.
  27. I recommend upgrading to a navigation unit, HW4. You can Patch IT own With the HW2 Bolero unit you have, you can activate Smart Link, but it runs somewhat sluggishly. And you have To Open the Unit for the Patch I have an HW4 Bolero unit at home, fully unlocked and working perfectly. It just needs to be coded to the vehicle. Where are you from?
  28. Wrong Information But you need the correct people and Money
  29. Mib3?
