  2. Patch Unit and you can use every SD Card
  3. If you have Amundsen MIB2, you will need to use an official SD card. It may pay to get a 32gb replacement card if your original one is only 16gb.
  4. @ndm Did the earth cable repair fix your problem?
  5. It was a very good car, particularly with the 2-series Volvo engine!
  6. I drove one of these in Canada a few years ago, but didn't play through all the available MFD options.
  7. Ha, that's going back a bit, I always wanted one of those, alot better looking than my 340 DL

  9. I guess this has been asked and answered dozens of times but I've trawled and found nothing recent. A few problems. I'm really struggling to update the Nav system. I only have access to a Mac, on OS 26 Tahoe. Can I use a new card that IS NOT a Skoda original, or must I stick with what I have? The Mac seems to insist on writing extra files to the SD card and messing up the install. Can I simply 'unhide' and delete these files, or is something else needed? Naturally this has all caught me out with 2 days to go before a big trip - when a Satnag would be very useful ........... The Skoda Update Portal seems to say any SDS card will do - but it won't ......... unless I've missed something fundamental. HELP!!

  12. I think that "he came, he asked a few questions and got some help" - now he has no need to bother!
  13. Welcome Aboard.... Noooice Car 🙂 Whats the spec etc?
  14. Would you believe that I'd just started to draft this response before you posted your reply, then had to rush out before checking and posting it?? I know precious little about the Superb 2 Estates but I did have an SEL one for a brief while... It seems like on one else is answering, so here's what I've churned up from what appears to be quite a common issue witth Superb 2 Estates with Electric Tailgates.... Hope that it is of some use, however small? I'd strongly suggest having the car VCDS scanned as this will (hopefully) throw up any hardware issues and likely help point you in the right direction. Electric tailgate intermittent problem: Posted on 23rd November 2017 https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/441420-electric-tailgate-intermittent-problem/#comment-571933 Skoda superb electic tailgate issues: Posted on 25th September 2022 https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/507305-skoda-superb-electic-tailgate-issues/#comment-5857802 It already loks like you've done a half-decent job so well done for that 🙂

  16. So after googling and a bit of youtube, had a look at the left hand side and found the green wire broken and the yellow on the way. Hadnt got any wire the same size and was a job to get the boot back over but two pieces soldered in with heatshrink and the boot now works as it should.. Will do for the time being, but will eventually get a couple of replacement struts when it goes again..
  17. Out of interest - why didn't you return the car to the seller and wash your hands of it? I'm lucky in a sense that I bought mine nearly 7 years ago and it's been relatively trouble free until this issue.
  18. TBQH it's a lot of faff. You can get the car to do it if you pay for the infotainment annual fee & suchlike on the Skoda App for iOS & Android respectively. Otherwise you have some options: https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/ and select the area you need, download and put it on a memory stick and see if the system will update. Use Waze which is very up to date as it's users update it regularly, it also has all types of speed cameras, roadworks and capability of reporting live issues Use Google Maps which for very much the same reason as Waze, which it essentially is as Waze is owned by Google.
  19. @Warrior193 I ever had any showing of Automatic Gearboxes temperatures on the dash with any of the dozens if not hundreds of 2 pedal vehicles i have had since the 1970,s.. Plenty had a Overheating warning including VW Groups with a DSG or Tiptronic. Never had a VW Group vehicles with an TC Automatic.
  20. What was the cost to complete this work? Did you do it yourself or have the garage do it?
  21. About to book myself in for a DPF and EGR delete (for off road use of course...). It'll be interesting to see if the oil consumption drops once these are removed. Then see if we can improve the consumption issue even further with a good clean out/flush and a service with Liqui Moly like Jo88mak says. Ive only had the car 6 months, and im severely disappointed, and its put me off keeping it to say the least.
  22. Might be as hopefully as simple as one of the pipes that feeds rack. Think the subframe has to be dropped etc to replace rack so not a simple job plus will probably need front end alignment once subframe is refitted etc. Have seen additive to help stop leaks but no idea if works and for how long. Alasdair
  23. @joeninho Did the dealer fix the problem? If so, what was the cause?
  24. Found the fuse and replaced it. Worked fine for about 40 mins then reverted back to its tricks again. Looks like a dealership visit for a check on the system.
  25. Does your trailer yacht uses water ballast? Consider using my idea of a rigid bar extension for launching and recovery - so much easier than using a rope, which of course is only useful for recovery.
  26. Re. your question about checking transmission temperature, there may be a setting in the Maxidot MFD for that - if not a setting specifically for transmission, there definitely is one for engine oil temp.
  27. There is a post open on this recently but no one seems to be answering my query so apologies for another post on same subject... When I press the button to open the boot from the keyfob, it opens about 6" then closes again. If I open using the button on the boot, it opens the same distance but just sits there. When I manually push it up from this position, there is a certain amount of resistance and when open fully and I press the button on the boot to close it ,bleeps about 6 times and does nothing. Are there likely to be any fault codes that would indicate what the issue may be? I can`t think it would be a break in a wire as I`m guessing it wouldn`t open at all. If it were a faulty strut , how would you ascertain which one? or is it likely both could be faulty? Or indeed could it be something else entirely?
  28. Mine stopped working. Eventually I discovered that I had switched off the ESC control, by pressing the button, which is behind the gear lever. No LED shows if it on or off. I turned it back on by entering the big service screen, and locating the menu.
  29. Thanks to all , ive got it booked in so i will reply on here when i find out what it was. (The garage suggested centre prop bearing was a common fault.) Alan
  30. Yesterday I received a new update that I suspect is to fix the repeated updates problem, after two fails to download I left it installing overnight.
