VCDS options on Superb III

Also, i keep asking in the vain hope that someone will crack it... anyone know how to enable the courtesy lights under the mirror when reversing?  It must be possible somehow... would it just be a matter of Ross-Tech having not mapped the right bits of software?  Do they take suggestions at all to anyones knowledge?

Unless VW have written that option into the software of the controllers for other cars, I'd say it is a no-go.  All VCDS does is replicate the majority of the expensive dealer software functions.  VCDS does not change the software, just allows people to change options that are already present, just not active.

VCP is probably a better bet as that can change the core software

I dropped my car off at my local Skoda specialist to get the throttle response setting changed and a few other tricks.

Throttle response is now more like I would expect.  Slight lag but probably what id expect from an automatic (this is my first auto).

Much happier.

Thanks for the info.

Hi all!

Does the throttle respons, changing coming/leaving home to foglights and activation of taillights in the "0" setting on the lightswitch use the same codes as seen in the"tried and tested VCDS"thread on this forum? Have anyone tried this on the 2018 model?

thanks!

I have MY2018 and Audi Throttle Response is there. However I don't know if its really any better on Manual. At first I thought it is but then I disabled it and it felt the same... Maybe 0.002% difference

They all worked for me, I presume you mean having the tail lights on with the DRLs?

Not sure anyone linked before, but I found on German Skoda forum many more options in VCDS than we have listed on this forum: https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=3AE6945C79E4C9E!17729&app=OneNote&authkey=!AMn8y885S2R-6Xg however, sadly I understand only 1/10th of the listed options =(. Would be cool if someone posted something like that in English version. I would love to but I have very short list of possibilities so far, all taken from this forum =(

Just curious guys, If I get an L&K 66 plate, can I have Smart light assist, traffic sign recognition etc switched on via VCDS? Also, where would be best to have this done?

Also does this invalidate the warranty or insurance?

TSR can be coded on the L&K

SLA however use different headlights so cannot be simply coded, so if you really want it (I love my SLA) you need to find a car with it specced.

Bah, shame about the lights. What else can be turned on in the basic L&K 2 litre diesel DSG trim?

Also, is there anywhere someone can go to get this done? Or is it a case of do it yourself. Does it do anything to the manufacturer's warranty or insurance?

Thanks

This list is very popular in Germany. Every code is tested before it get in.

Actually it is only in german. What do you not understand? Perhaps I can help

Thanks for response. I actually don't speak German. My girl friend works in Austria and she was able to help me with some translations, but since she never spoke most of these lights and stuff, she wasn't able to help much. However my intention was hopefully if anyone could translate whole OneNote I posted (yeah its a lot of work :() or something like that. To add missing options from OneNote to our topic with verified VCDS adaptions. It would be great for common owners knowledge. I know it sounds arrogant a little, but I truly think for all not just my self.

Here you go.  A mostly direct translation into English.  some of it does not have much detail as I don't know fully what it is referring to, and I did not add the change cabin comfort LED colour option as I know it's listed on the VCDS thread.

VCDS english.docx

I can't try any of these for myself as I am still waiting for my car to arrive.

Wow, thanks sir! This is amazing work!

I hope Gizmo will add some missing adaptations to (for others of course):

Oh, they've got the easy entry option :)

Does anyone know if the XDS is software only and therefore programmeble via OBD11?

It's certainly programmable using OBD11, they have an app which is specifically for that purpose.

To extend the interval cycles that the headlight washers will activate to a) prevent the front of your clean car being sprayed, and B) to reduce the amount of screen wash usage.

1. Go to [09] Central Electronics

2. STG access permissions -> Function 16

3. Enter access code 31347

4. Go to adaptation channels (Function 10)

5. Select channel 1 - Select "Number of operations front windsceen wiper washer per SRA activation" (in German - Frontscheibenwischer Anzahl Betätigungen Frontwaschanlage pro SRA Aktivierung auswählen)

6. Adjust value to preference (no of times you can operate the windscreen washer stalk before the headlight washer activate).

7. Select channel 3, and adjust the activate time for folding the switch to enable headlight washers in the first place.

I'm interest in this last point, that i could control myself when headlight washers activate. Which values and which channel should i change to activate headlight washers by folding the switch lets say 2s or so.

Also, i would like to cancel that headlight washers comes on automatically every first time i use windshield washers, if it possible to change this also to 2s switch folding time. Thank you.

The channels you need to look at are:

(1)-Windshield wiper-Anzahl Betaetigungen Frontwaschanlage pro SRA Aktivierung - 10
(2)-Windshield wiper-SRA Verzoegerungszeit - 0 ms
(3)-Windshield wiper-SRA Waschzeit - 600 ms
(4)-Windshield wiper-SRA Einweichpausenzeit - 2000 ms
(5)-Windshield wiper-SRA Nachwaschzeit - 1100 ms
(6)-Windshield wiper-SRA Pausenzeit - 0 ms
(7)-Windshield wiper-SRA bei Waschwassermangel - not active

So try changing (2) to 2000ms and then you need to activate the screen wash for 2 seconds before the headlight washers will kick in.

Is it possible to perform this adaption on MY17 Superb?

...and nope, still tilts.  So I chalked it up to another one of those things that didn't work.  Then, the other day I already had the sunroof open but wanted to lower the windows from the key and it the sunroof stayed in the open position rather than moving to tilt which is what it used to do in that circumstance.  So obviously what I did made *some* difference,  just not quite the full difference I was looking for.

Some module's won't accept this coding. It will accepted by the module but the roof still not opening fully. The reason must be in some coding somewhere and i put some acars to eachother but no difference in codings or SW version. Also adaptions are the same.  Still looking

Anyone found a way to activate traffic jam assist?

I have smart light assist, adaptive lane assist and ACC so I assume I've got all the hardware required.

I hope we get this working in the near futere. It is possible but we need to flash the A5 module to get this working along with some codings in a few other modules to get.  I'm fully busy with this. It is already possible on the Tiguan and the Passat.

If you have lane assist, ACC and a dsg gearbox, traffic jam assist should be automatic and not need any extra coding.

If you have a manual gearbox you are out of luck as the need to keep changing gears yourself renders it useless.

Hello
I have tried this:

Ref to:

Superb MKIII VCDS Adaptations - tried and tested

ON MY17 cars (using VCDS 16.8.3 software) this now looks to be under:

ENG10575-ENG116593-Außenlicht_Front-Tagfahrlicht-Dauerfahrlicht aktiviert zusaetzlich Standlicht

This works, but not with LED stip in front, just xenon with tail lights.

What does it mean about: ENG10575-ENG116593?

I have tried to go back to original, but now just xenon lights, and not just the LED strip.

Do anybody have any idea what to do?

You changed your DRL to Dim light with a coding in your adaption from 09. Looking for menu option with VCP for Daytime running lights and put it back to original iff you have a back up from de adaption files

Not tried it on a SportLine yet (the only SportLine I have coded so far was a 280 = 4x4 anyway) but on my 190 (FWD) when I tried it early last year it was not possible without throwing DTC’s up, can’t remember the exact fault codes but suffice to say i never even made it off the drive before reverting back to std.

On a 280 the XDS was possible to be set to Strong and no complications found so far. Everything works fine. It really made a difference, clearly noticeable especially in icy and snowy conditions. The car is not prone to heavy understeer anymore, but ESC set to sport, it is nicely tail happy instead, especially when on throttle. Understeer is gone even without throttle, turn-in is a lot sharper and the car feels agile.

I also changed the Haldex "wiring logic" adaptation from Standard into Increased Traction, and it works a lot better now. No hesitation in engaging the rear wheels, even when on plain ice. In Standard mode the front wheels slipped first when on ice. This might be because of the traction is so low on ice that even the slightest hint of throttle will cause wheelspin. In standard mode, it feels like the controller tries first on FWD because of so little throttle input, and engages the rear wheels only after front wheels start slipping.

This adaptation is in [22] AWD: Acoustic measure: wiring logic

The car is quite tail happy when ESC in sport mode, nice to steer with throttle on snowy roads. :tongueout: As easy to control sideways as my wife´s 335d with a mechanical LSD. Wintertime is fun
