Identify the missing bits and provide evidence as far as possible. You get a tick mark if accepted then wait a year or so for it to come out in the release. It's a production cycle. Depends where you enter into it.

However I was thinking today that one thing that has changed since I last drove the car and used Skoda Connect is that I have updated the maps to the latest version. Could that be the cause of an increased delay in receiving traffic updates each time I start the vehicle? Is there some kind of cache that needs clearing or re-setting, etc. after a map update?

The only thing you can do is try a reboot, a long press on the on/off button till you see the splash screen. There are no other user controls. Just leaving the car powered off for 20 minutes may be sufficient to give the same results although elements of the infotainment system are kept live with mib3 connect services outside the 20 minutes so a reboot may be helpful. The fix all to infotainment systems where the program goes wrong.

Well, no improvement following the reboot, still taking a good 3-4 minutes for any traffic data at all to be pulled in. It may not sound like a lot, but it essentially means sitting in the car with the ignition/engine on, waiting for it to start pulling in traffic data before setting off on a journey, otherwise you can end up going directly towards a road closure, etc. Very frustrating!

 

Since the change seems to have coincided with the map update, I am going to try rolling back to the previous map version to see if this fixes the problem. I can't think why it would, but worth testing. Will report back.

Yes worth trying out with the old maps. It could be you are just seeing an influx of a lot of reports that just takes a bit longer to build up. Over the air Inrix with the Skoda board magic you experience more traffic reports than you ever got with Trafficmaster so may be just a lot of data coming down.

No the volume is the same as before, I would typically get over 400 traffic reports within around 30 secs of starting the car. I'm getting the same volume now, but it's taking way longer to get the same amount of data. Plus it just seems a bit too suspicious that this happened after a map update, but I may just be putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5.

Final update from me on this thread as the problem does not seem connected to the map update after all - I have tried rolling back to the previous map version and it has made no difference to the issue.

Any sign of the 2025 maps now they have landed for MIB2 High?

It was Cairus that gave me that before it got edited to those links so he was ahead of that post. The files are 10 days old... so quite recent. Zipping date. I might claim the edit to get the rest 😍 what I told Seat guy to do last night. I found it worked and went to bed.

@MartiniB normal success screen on the all Europe map. Haven't checked the others yet. Not sure whether they might have messed the road top speed signs up (again). Seemed to be an indication from Cairus to that on a Seat post. Think he's reading another board which isn't the one linked to above. Something to look out for. I don't use these files myself.

 

@MartiniB the rest of the world is also there, the DLs so I've got this list (done a hack job of your normal post 😍). You can check where I've got it right. Needs your normal creation dates etc for you.

Yes do a new thread in your normal style in your name with the files inside etc text. I wanted to get the SeatCupra one posted up since it had started to go on the wrong thread and was incomplete. So having found that our friends had missed off the RoW, corrected that. On that one above I've got 2024 in the title should actually say 2025. Just the title out. Needs your exacting hand to get it totally it  your style.

 

Anyhow. We got there mib2 standard isn't dead yet. The cartography is TomTom, they haven't changed that and TMC for Trafficmaster doesn't work in the UK as we know, so the Briskoda fix for using Inrix on the last release of the HereMaps one, still reigns supreme if you put TMC ahead of newer maps as far as the UK is concerned. I just keep both in the car. Can swap if I feel like it. 

 

Yes so a nice new thread, in your name with your exacting eye is required to check mine. That then needs to be pinned together with the mib2 high one you reference. All should be done then on mib2 till June 2025. RoW mib3 is still to be found and the Vag links for the 2025 (November2024) release and that will be done. Seat people are already using your Skoda link for Europe.

 

BTW anybody got a link to mib1 standard V5. Seat poster has lost their files.

Are there really not any newer update to the NAVs maps? These files, although published very recently, seems to be last touched in October 2023. Is there any more recent update around the corner, or can i do anything else to update the NAV with more recent maps?

Well that's the last release you need this one:

 

 

They are TomTom sourced maps that VAG use for Mib2 Standard. The production cycle put a 6-12 month delay in maps but then if they have never been put on the map you won't find it. Cartography providers tend to keep on top of new highways sourcing the information from published industry sources and planning departments. Local new estates can slip through. The TomTom website allows you to tell them of missing features. The AmiGo app gives you real-time access to the database so if your missing road isn't in there then you better get cracking marking up where it's missing on their website. They are pretty good. There are cars going round but it costs them.
