@fila_superb

find some download program which have resume option

on linux parameter c helps with command wget

managed to download...tried to shrink them but no, 2025 i was able to shrink by deleting some stuff, and copying routing files, but no more.

these cannot be shrunk to 16gb (14.8gb usable) sd card.

too bad.

thanks for info, and all the links.

Based on using ECE 1 on a 16gb card, ECE 3 will fit, ECE 4, 5 and 7 might fit.

It seems like this was released not long after 2410 (also 202525, which I always assumed meant 25th week of 2025). Is it normal to have two releases in quick succession like this? Perhaps fixing some significant quality issue?

Technically it hasn't been released but found on servers before the web page has been released. It's the normal thing. It seems that the generation of these files has become a fine art. These are still TomTom cartography.

Or just buy a 32gb Vag card of Ebay. Any Vag card, VW, Skoda or Seat from a reliable seller. The original older 32gb you might find cheaper. Saves the hassle.

I got my copy from the Skoda Connect map update site, so i am used to there being a long lag between releases, typically six months it seems. This time was much less than that.

Here was hoping they would fix the TMC in this release, but oh well... better luck next time I guess.

Try this:

Unit 5F Adjustment

Paid traffic information (TMC)

I see you have been following the threads... no. Its a UK issue with the provider that Vag uses pulling out of the business. It also happened in France. Probably elsewhere in Europe. Where there are more than one provider you can knock it onto another provider but only if the core map file is set up for it. Here Maps you did the TMC group change but once it changed to TomTom cartography for the mib2 standard you needed to wash it through the mib2 standard toolkit.

Ozzie mastered this with the mib2 standard tool kit. Im terrible with names... the Briskoda rather sound person... you know who you are... did the same but you needed to hack the maps with the toolkit. Next came the Audi programer and twiddle he recoded the nds modules so you just over wrote those in the map files. Its all on a Briskoda thread but certain amount of chatter about getting Vag to do it. Well Vag won't they dropped it of. They would probably need to pay the other provider. Its self help. I always thought it would be.

For the Columbus which is a mib2 high then the solution is the TMC coding change and that just works with map updates. For the Amundsen which is a mib2 standard then it's old maps and the nds file fix. Old maps aren't really that satisfactory where a movement to lower motoring speeds has come into the UK. Without TSR you got the wrong road speed shown.

Will edit in some links.

Briskoda thread where the solution was posted:

Then I reproduced this attributed here on the SeatCupra board... doesn't contain the chat, only the solution.

I know the problem in the UK, but I don't know which car is registered where 😉.

The TMC coding solution only works for Mib high/Columbus. Amundsen thread so not applicable irrespective of the country. How I picked it up.

Hi guys,

2017 Octavia 3 with Amundsen MIB2 (MST2_EU_SK_AU…).

Downloaded the latest ECE 2025/26 maps from Škoda portal (STD2_2510_EU_AS_202525.zip).

After extracting I only have the “maps” folder + one .md5 file – no meta/, poi/, content.lst, metainfo2.txt etc.

Car says “Please insert disc with valid navigation data” and refuses to load.

Can anyone please share the working “meta fix” package or full ZIP with correct structure (meta + poi + content.lst + metainfo2.txt) for Amundsen?

I'm curious if we can see and update the locations of stationary radars through the navigation map update, and I'm also curious if it's possible to add voice control for navigation?

On the first, no. Mib2 allows you to identify POIs in the Vag import format for the system. It does have a feature to warble to support radar camera location but you either buy these pre prepared or do your own importing radar POI files via software to create your own POI import file. Poinspector is one such program I use. You can find it on a Google. Bit like hard work setting up the proforma but once done its easy enough to update. There are other programs. People have an Excel macro driven one.

Poinspector being a proper app allows you to zoom into the POIs showing the map position of the POI. You can enter your own POIs and an old Skoda trick I was told which I use is to import my own POIs then save as destinations once shown on the map. Doing that you end up with your own destination library and a blob on the units map. It makes the unit look like a normal traditional satnav. Thus holiday stops etc you routinely use you just mark up or can search for them. Obviously it does take some work but once done you have it. The likes of Google map POIs are hit and miss. Finding car park location with street view, getting the location then importing it to the unit gets the precise place. Car parks for hikes wont be on Google maps.

Back to radar pois there are fixed and mobile ones. You can get the location of these but the mobile ones by definition move. Really you need traffic sign recognition (TSR) then the need for radar databases is minor. Only if you want to break the law between cameras. TSR is the way to go.

Pass on voice. Mib2 high I believe can do it but I never use it. You press the button and say something. Hit and miss voice recognition isnt something you want in cars. I did try out Seat early mib2 high software app ahead of mib3. I wasnt impressed. That gave you Alexa. They then withdrew the app from the Google playstore. These were Vags early experiments in marrying the two up.

Where and how can we import the radar map.

Regarding the voice, I had in mind instead of English directions or driving instructions in other languages,... like with normal navigation. Could I solve this by creating an account like MyŠkoda and updating the radio/navigation via wifi/internet?

I've done a SeatCupra resource on this with links to the software and the radar databases

https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/resources/uploading-speed-camera-safety-camera-user-pois.12/

That link provides the details and is linked by the person who wrote the program.

It's covers the VAG group MIB2s or less. Some people don't do it like this and obtain knock off databases pre imported to the VAG export file structure. The problem with this is you don't know the source and timeliness of the radar data. The PocketGPSWorld ones you do. Elsewhere on this board people will be using the knock off ones or paid a European company for the VAG file.

Pocket GPS world ones:

https://www.pocketgpsworld.com/subscription.php

On your last one we are talking Mib2 here. If it's not mib3 it's not this. Skoda took out their links to the POI import, as did VW on their website. Seat never had it. You had to use the VW in German web based solution otherwise. Then that was pulled, I moved to Poinspector for the job to do the work of taking published POI files (industry standard GPS file structure) and getting them into the unit. As said there is an Excel macro driven one but Poinspector is more finished. It does handle Mib1 and RNS whatever before that.

I'd stick to MartiniBs links. Been using the EU1 one for some time. No issues. Nothing missing.

Yes the next release will be June 2026. MartiniB has everything uptodate on all his map links. The individual brand websites may not. It's always been like that. The map files are common and universal across the brands, but the brand website may not reflect the available files since nobody has updated the website. It's like library books of old where they have a new book in, its out the back but they haven't put the stamp page on it or the protective cover but you can still read it.

@Tell As far as I remember, updates were always twice a year. I estimate CW25 and CW47.
