Mine is 2,0 150hp/110kw. I have Michelin Crossclimate 3 tyres which may increase the consumption. This summer I drove 12,000 km @ 4,3l/100km. A good third was in the Alps, A/C on. In any case – and this was confirmed this summer during the heatwaves – ever since I had the 37VQ recall carried out, I no longer hear the DSG clunking when it’s very hot.

CHIPPED OR NOT?
At a guess, I'd look for the 2nd sensor downstream from the cat/DPF - I've never had occasion to closely inspect that part of either the Octavia or Fabia's exhaust system though.

Climate control issue
Hi Neil, I sent it to the garage to be checked out, they regassed it and it sorted the problem out. They said that because it was low the evaporator was icing up.

"Exactly! I really don't understand why they're refusing. I sourced the replacement cluster from a reputable breaker in Australia and even provided the purchase bill with my request. I'm currently located in Perth. When you mention the risk of the original cluster getting damaged, are you referring to the desoldering process for the chip, or is there another risk I should know about?"

Fabia 1.4tdi Nightmare issues!
Hi guys, I've got a 2015 Fabia 1.4tdi with a few issues. Firstly the coil light flashes when in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear taking the revs to between 2.25 and 2.5k revs. I've replaced the fuel pressure sensor and regulator sensor as that's what an engine management light flagged up. The car does feel less powerful than normal. Also since replacement of the 2 sensors I've got an oil leak appear and the oil was changed only a few weeks ago and noticed that today dripping from the filter. So far this year the car has had the following replaced. Clutch, cambelt and waterpump. New fuel pressure pipes one split. 3 x new injectors DPF off and fully cleaned. Reconditioned gear box. The sensors mentioned above. The cars on 72k miles and is driving me away from owning another Skoda/VW. Any advice or pointers to getting it resolved would be greatly appreciated.

Climate control issue
Did you get anywhere with this Martin? I have the same symptoms and have ordered a new evaporation temperature sensor, but now need to work out how to get to it to replace it. I followed Gemini's advice on terms of diagnosis (probably my guest mistake!) and it all seemed straightforward to do. I had no fault codes etc, so ordered the sensor and then queried how to get to the old one. ChatGPT and Gemini then fell out about how to do it! One saying it was a nightmare, the other saying it was a piece of cake! I believe it's accessed through removal of the drivers side foot well dashboard covers but haven't had time to look physically yet. Any advice or progress you might have made would be much appreciated. Many thanks Neil

That is 58.22 mpg. I managed slightly better than 59mpg, full to full over 2,325 miles, including autoroutes at 110 and 130 kph and a lot of ordinary (and hilly) roads in a tour via Eurotunnel to the Department of Aude and back. One of my previous cars was a Seat Leon with the 170bhp VW group diesel and 6 speed DSG. This 2024 Octavia Vrs with 200bhp and a 7 speed DSG beats it hands down for economy, as the LEON used to average about 48 to 50mpg on similar trips.

Ghosting issue on infotainment system - MY 20.5 Skoda Octavia 2020
Hi All, We've just recently purchased a 2020 Skoda Octavia (MY20.5 - Mk 3), and really enjoying it as a car. But we've been having some issues with 'ghost touching' issues with the infotainment system that sends it a bit crazy until you do a hard reset, which seems to fix it for a while. I assume we will need to go to a Skoda dealer to likely get it looked at, but was just trying to get a decent understanding around the head unit software/firmware and upgradeability. When I've searched by VIN number on the skoda update page I can't find any info about what is the latest software version it should have (if it was up to date). So just hoping someone kind can help me on that side of it - I'm happy to do a software update myself if I know what I'm looking for and what I need to find :) Thanks so much!

Retrofit Virtual Cockpit LHD
Hi @Cairus thanks for this thread. I am in the same situation. I bought a used cluster (5E0920790A) and approached multiple dealerships, but they refused to adapt the cluster. I recently tried to apply for the permission myself and it got rejected—I think mainly because of the GEKO account used for the application. I am now planning to try swapping the immobilizer data. I found someone who is willing to help me do this, and I believe he is using VVDI2. Will this work? Can you please share some more info if possible?

Skoda Karoq 1.5 DSG gearbox
To those who have said the DQ200 shouldn’t start off in 2nd, I would agree it shouldn’t. Neither our dq200 Fabia or dq381 Karoq start off from stationary in 2nd it’s always first gear. However both have a tendency to use 2nd at Give Way junctions and entering roundabouts if I don’t quite stop. Must be the way I drive.🤔

Skoda Felicia consuming 250 mA when it is turned off
Hello, I have a Skoda Felicia 1.6 model 2000 and I realized the battery was being drained quit fast. I changed it for a new one because it was already very old and then, after seing it was still draining, I measured the current on the possitive cable that goes to the fuse box with every door closed and no light and I measured 250 mA, which seems to me quite a lot for this car. Note that I discarded the alternator and starter since I measured only the positive cable going into the fuse box. Disconnecting all the fuses didn't do anything, I continue reading 250mA. In the night, in full dark, I saw that the panel light for oil was slightly on (some current is being drained). Also one extra thing I did is to disconnect the cable connectors in the fuse box, see picture attached. I discovered that disconnecting BE reduce the current consumption to around 90 - 95 mA (would this be normal for the Felicia?). The car started without the BE cable connector but the oil lamp is not showing at all in the panel, I think this is a bit risky in the long term and I would like to find a proper solution. My guess is that the oil pump sensor switch is having an issue. I would appreciate any help in this topic. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b61/gokipoki/FELICIA/Feliciafusebox.gif

Error: selector lever...
I still haven't got it serviced. The error randomly keeps on popping up, mainly in temperature changes. I suspect the metal part is expanding and shrinking according to the heat value. But it has no impact on the general use of the car. It's just an annoying message. I plan to take it to the authorized repair center this week as I have extended warranty.

This summer I managed to get two full tanks at an actual 4.04 litres per 100, whilst driving at 110 km/h and anticipating traffic slowdowns as much as possible, etc...

Have you asked a Skoda Dealership in Israel for the cost of new replacement parts? If the new ones faded because of Climate / Environment are new ones not just going to go the same way? A Skoda Fundamental Design, Engineering, manufacturing, material fault and a product not suitable for your region. TELL THEM!.
