  1. Past hour
  2. If the DATA centres or large retail and communications corporations in the USA are building their own SMR,s then that is maybe who should do it in the UK. Again it is public money in the UK thrown at the already huge & wealthy corporations and shareholders.
  3. 'Warm' was the term Skoda used, while VW, SEAT & Audi for the same engine used in owners manual 'Hot' or 'Normal operating temperature. That is Germans for you and lost in Translation from Czech, Spanish, German, to English or US English. Lost in translation.
  4. i never checked warm oil because i cant pull out dipstick, affraid to brake it.
  5. Today
  6. agentg9 joined the community
  7. Could also be a connector thats come loose or intercooler/vaccum pipe thats not been fitted securely (Intercooler pipe is from past experience. They have to be fully home before clip is pushed in) Alasdair
  8. Good morning everyone. I just bought an OBD11 and wanted to ask if someone could explain to a novice like me how to program Travel Assist and Emergency Brake Assist, and also how to delay the Lane Assist warning to 60 seconds—otherwise, it starts beeping every 10 seconds, even on straight roads. Thanks everyone
  9. Correct me if I am wrong but the only 2 SMRs running are in China and Russia ? It is important the SMRs use the right coolant for the current and future environment for its location. Hinkley and Sizewell seem to have it right. Need to look more closely at Anglesey site. Love to visit power stations, Dinorwig, Hinkley etc. Sad to hear the glacier collapse in Nepal killing over a thousand people. We need to factor in climate change when planning future power stations.
  10. @D1oni Thank you for sharing your experience.
  11. Hello again. I now have a video in which you can clearly hear the sound, what could it be possibly be ? fabia-mk3-spring-brake-sound.mp4
  12. I had exactly the same, there's was no onscreen prompt like there had been, it was in notifications waiting for the install to be started. It took ages, and then this morning there was confirmations the installs had completed, when normally the infotainment page would have been empty! Like I said, not holding my breath!!
  13. The update didn't trigger immediately when you start the car. You need to come to a stop for some seconds (like at a traffic light) and probably the previous days I didn't need to stop on my journey to work...
  14. I hear your pain!! It definitely getting very frustrating now!!
  15. I’m off to Hereford tomorrow afternoon via M4 and M5. Hopefully I’ll get the same sort of result 🤞
  16. I spoke too soon...... 😪 This morning I had another update & it put the same version of the shop application....
  17. Touch and hold to the on/off button under the screen for several seconds to reset the system.
  18. Support for Rolls-Royce's small nuclear reactors much the same as far as supporters, Boris, IDS, Andrew Bowie etc.
  19. JCB major Tory donors and were go to place for Boris etc photo shoots. JCB tax history in many areas make interesting reading.
  20. @imart143 & Is it in the same place when you check the level as per the cars Owners Manual?
  21. Forgot to add that but, yes, I did the same on mine, although the original was still in pretty good Knick at 140k.
  22. There is still the drive for Small Modular Nuclear & that was a wee back pocket earner for some Tories when in power and now some Labour party elected or non elected members will do OK out of that, same as happened with Hydrogen and JCB or family members connected to JCB.
  23. I would not go to Aberdeen either. Westminster government i think choose Aberdeen to fit in with transition from oil and gas to renewable hoping it would go down well. Mind you Crown transfer terms can be quite nice i recall. Not sure they are today compared to when I got mine in the nineties. Not sure where the staff would be moving from, London, Liverpool, Manchester or Newcastle area which tend to be tge big Civil Service centres, all for moving staff out of London to save London weighting costs.
  24. with a oil sump out, oil pump belt which is in oil bath should also be replaced.
  25. on my 1.5 tsi DPCA is capacitiy 4.3 L with a filter (Manual), when i put that amount of oil, when it cools out completely, almost touches maximum line. 1 mm lower.
  26. Hi all, many thanks for all your responses. 10 months and about 7-8 garages and electricians later, I managed to get it fixed! I thought I'd post on here in case someone (like myself) tries to search the internet for answers. The issue was caused by a broken ECU to TCU wire, which was bypassed with an overlay wire. The error code was cleared and the issue hasn't repeated since.
  27. Not sure how you mean wealth for chums, please explain ? Amazon, curry's, Wckes etc will be doing more business and their delivery arms. The electicity companies will get some free electricity pumped back in to the Grid but as it would not be the particular house supplier so will yge government claim this excess power going back in to the Grid from these 100ks or millions of balcony plug in solar uk buyers ? Unclear. Just weighing up which system to go with but might go for a solar battery now and wait for the balcony solar kits until spring. Battery is am looking at is portable and 5 kwh with 6 kw outout so could usefully charge an EV at a significant rate overnight. Can also put 6 kw of solar panels into it. Should pay for itself in 2 or 3 years abd is easily movable to my next property as are my panels.
