  3. I read on here before about updating the firmware on the ottocast to correct some issues. No idea how that’s done. My Ali express one connects within a few seconds and auto plays from where you left off. It’s been plugged in permanently for nearly a year and had no issues whatsoever.
  4. Thank you. 👍 It will be next week before I'm home again and my new (32Gb) card should be here by then. Wish me luck. ps. Did you glean anything from the photos I put up? Is there a need for new software, or an update I should be doing?
  5. MIB3? Preh Manufactur? Simple to patch CP Off via USB, but Software dont Higher then 332
  6. The latest map is rarely available for download on the Škoda homepage. Here is the current one: https://navigation-maps.volkswagen.com/vw-maps/Update_25_26/DiscoverMedia2_EU-AS_2710_V24.7z Europa All need more then 16GB

  9. Well not yet. I finally manage with another skoda service where we start to work on something. They saw on car that it really shaking and we managed to replace on warranty wheel bearings, but this not solved issue, so they have now car on service again where they are searcing again for issue.
  10. Well after some investigation I have purchased a new door speaker and replaced it the audio is back to normal and no distortion, no idea why other speakers were also distorting. But we shall see how it goes long term but for now it's all good again.

Its not my car, its Modders. The reason I ask is I dont think Coasting worked on my 2021 1.5 DSG Scala in Sport mode but maybe changed on the 2025 MY. Anyway, seriously impressive fuel consumption.
  12. Hello everyone, I found this PDF containing various modifications and adaptations for the Golf 8, and it looks like many of them also apply to the Skoda Octavia IV pre-facelift (Non-FL), based on my own testing. So far, I have only tested the adaptations that can be performed without SFD authorization. Unfortunately, I currently don't have a working method to unlock SFD. I can successfully read the Challenge Token and manually enter the Release Token, but I don't have a way to calculate/generate the corresponding Release Token. i also have some of the software releases : 1941, 1969 ,1985, 1989 If anyone can help with that part, I would also be happy to test additional adaptations and features on my Octavia IV and share the results with the community. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Codierliste Golf 8 EN.pdf

  14. MacOS does add extra files - you need to use a MacOS app such as BlueHarvest or CleanEject to remove them.

  18. No idea it is your car. Does the gear you are in show on your car? Cylinder Deactivation works when no load on the engine.

  21. @lol-lol but that is true of any company, their reputation etc is all down to the staff, they can make or break a company. Sadly all too often, staff is not appreciated by the bosses.
  22. That's the way to do it then. Was 'Coasting' enabled and your toe off the accelerator quite a lot once the cars was nicely rolling along?
  23. Probably should’ve said on the post and now it won’t let me edit it but it’s a 1.5 DSG (25 MY)
  24. Quite similar to my very good Renault - Dacia dealer called Savilles, single site dealership, best customer service i have ever had but I know Renault would insist on all sorts of things, bigger showroom, take models that probably would not sell ie those big cars Renault are not really reunion for. Sad and like many marque they end up with multi chain delearship that do not seem as caring. That said I gave found Startin of Worcester good but that is down to one great salesman I deal with !
  25. Curiosity got the better of me on a drive back from Somerset yesterday and I decided to leave the gearbox in ‘sport’ mode which isn’t something I’d really used much before. Low and behold the car goes and returns my best fuel consumption figures to date and I wasn’t exactly driving like Miss Daisy either 👀

  27. But you hold this specific hose in your hands in the video. Here in Greece we call those pipes as ''paper pipes'', an example Here Usually for air-induction kits, as you saw in the links i use it in a different way than the factory to bring more cool air inside my air-filter box.
  28. Thank you. That's a much better guide than I've seen anywhere else. I'm going to print it and stick it in the glovebox. I have ordered a 32Gb 'clone' card to see if it helps and I'm going to try and find a Linux, or Windoze machine to use for the job. In the meantime, I'll leave the old card alone (it's working for now, don't tempt fate) accept the older info and make my journeys next week. I'll have a Co-Pilot with me who has a 6th sense for direction - I kid you not, he's uncanny.😁 When the clone arrives, I'll play with that and see where I get to.
  29. I first bought a cheepone off amazon but had problems with sound from Waze and Google maps, changed to an Ottocast Pico, thinking the button may reconnect easily, but that isnt the case, i have to have bluetooth on to connect first, then it uses the wifi , when the nav app sound doesnt work i just remove the ottocast and reinsert it, the sound then starts ( found it is the same with the cheap unit i had too
