  2. If it helps, I found someone who logged their TSI here The poster also had some issues, but claimed that during the logging, the engine worked fine and values look OK.. so it should provide some data for reference.

  9. It has changed with the 1.5 TSI. Can be Fixed or Variable / Flexible. 18,000-20,000 miles / 24 months. (But if running mainly on Electric and seldom firing up the engine best stay on fixed.) DQ400-e DSG is an Oil & Filter change at 40,000 miles or sooner.
  10. Same happened on my Octavia but in my case actuator was sticking and causing overboost randomly. I lubricated it and its been fine since.

If its any help I have been using comma oil for years from tractor/forklifts to fabia/octavia and many more cars. Never had a problem and it lasts. Generally a reasonable price and readily available. Alasdair

  16. Hi. Are the fixed or can the variable system be used? Were fixed on the Octavia and Golf PHEV with the 1.4 engine, wondering whether that's changed. Thanks

  24. Hi We got 2024 kamiq on Saturday. Husband tinkering with infocenter settings and somehow he has managed to delete the navigation button on the infocenter display. We used android auto to drive home but would like the option to use the skoda navigation is case the phone is stolen or lost. I have spent all morning trying to get it back but have had no luck. . I have tried going to the widgets but no nav shows to add. Tried forgetting phone just in case this overrides anything but that didn't work. Any suggestions gratefully received Many thanks

  26. Is this the Skoda tablet-holders? I have one and the head restraints didn’t need removing, just pushes between the two poles. Get your viewer some headphones; downside of it is the sound is right behind the driver’s head.

  28. Hi, When I drive for about 10 minutes at 230 km/h, the oil temperature goes up to 137 °C with an outside temperature of 26 °C. In my opinion, the oil temperature is still quite high when I compare it to my Passat B8 2017 with the same engine. I also noticed that the ECU is reducing the speed when the oil temperature goes above 135 °C. I think there is still an issue with the oil temperature, but I can live with the current situation because nobody drives at over 230 km/h for a long time with diesel prices these days. On a normal drive between 150–180 km/h, the oil temperature does not exceed 120 °C. Based on the input I got from other forums and Facebook groups, the problem could be related to one of the following: - Oil cooler - Dirt in the radiators between the AC radiator and the coolant radiator, where the shutters were. In the future, I will probably clean the radiators and change the oil cooler when I change my oil next time. I will give feedback if I make progress with these.
  29. look for the F&R sway bar links, but mainly look for all the rear subframe bushing, I suspect for some multilink arm

  31. A question that I can't answer I'm afraid. She has had it serviced regularly by the Skoda dealer she bought it from, so who knows? My experience of main dealers of several ilks is not good..... Charging for parts and not actually fitting them. I've looked up BOSCH dealers in her neck of the woods and come up with Deepcut Garage - anyone had any experience with them?
  32. Sounds a ridiculous price for Coil & Leads. Have we to assume the 4 spark plugs are good and have been inspected and not needing replaced?
  33. Evolution13 replied to Mick9879's topic in Skoda Karoq
^^^ VW are the masters of screwing down the cost to them, and never knowingly 'over spec' consumables.

  37. First post in this forum, I usually hover over the Octavia Mk 111 one as I own a 2016 diesel vRS. My sister has a 2015 1.2TSi manual Yeti which went into limp mode just before she went into hospital for a hip replacement - yes, we are of that generation! Her main dealer that supplied the car and have serviced it since she acquired it say it needs a new coil pack and ignition lead and want £800 to change it and a split track rod end rubber boot. 6 - 8 week delay before they can do the work because of parts availability. Questions are: 1, Is she being stitched up - YES. 2, Can anyone recommend a good Indie VAG workshop in the Camberley area? i know very little about modern (after 1980s) petrol engines and when I looked on a couple of parts web sites, they were showing glow plugs in the ignition section; in a petrol engine? Loads of different coil packs that fit onto the spark plug like my BMW 740 Sport and a coil that looks a bit like a square distributor cap with four connectors sticking out, I imagine for the plug leads. Any advice will be welcome.
