This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. @D1oni Thank you for sharing your experience.
  3. Hello again. I now have a video in which you can clearly hear the sound, what could it be possibly be ? fabia-mk3-spring-brake-sound.mp4
  4. I had exactly the same, there's was no onscreen prompt like there had been, it was in notifications waiting for the install to be started. It took ages, and then this morning there was confirmations the installs had completed, when normally the infotainment page would have been empty! Like I said, not holding my breath!!
  5. The update didn't trigger immediately when you start the car. You need to come to a stop for some seconds (like at a traffic light) and probably the previous days I didn't need to stop on my journey to work...
  6. I hear your pain!! It definitely getting very frustrating now!!
  7. I’m off to Hereford tomorrow afternoon via M4 and M5. Hopefully I’ll get the same sort of result 🤞
  8. I spoke too soon...... 😪 This morning I had another update & it put the same version of the shop application....
  9. Touch and hold to the on/off button under the screen for several seconds to reset the system.
  10. Support for Rolls-Royce's small nuclear reactors much the same as far as supporters, Boris, IDS, Andrew Bowie etc.
  11. JCB major Tory donors and were go to place for Boris etc photo shoots. JCB tax history in many areas make interesting reading.
  12. @imart143 & Is it in the same place when you check the level as per the cars Owners Manual?
  13. Forgot to add that but, yes, I did the same on mine, although the original was still in pretty good Knick at 140k.
  14. There is still the drive for Small Modular Nuclear & that was a wee back pocket earner for some Tories when in power and now some Labour party elected or non elected members will do OK out of that, same as happened with Hydrogen and JCB or family members connected to JCB.
  15. I would not go to Aberdeen either. Westminster government i think choose Aberdeen to fit in with transition from oil and gas to renewable hoping it would go down well. Mind you Crown transfer terms can be quite nice i recall. Not sure they are today compared to when I got mine in the nineties. Not sure where the staff would be moving from, London, Liverpool, Manchester or Newcastle area which tend to be tge big Civil Service centres, all for moving staff out of London to save London weighting costs.
  16. with a oil sump out, oil pump belt which is in oil bath should also be replaced.
  17. on my 1.5 tsi DPCA is capacitiy 4.3 L with a filter (Manual), when i put that amount of oil, when it cools out completely, almost touches maximum line. 1 mm lower.
  18. Hi all, many thanks for all your responses. 10 months and about 7-8 garages and electricians later, I managed to get it fixed! I thought I'd post on here in case someone (like myself) tries to search the internet for answers. The issue was caused by a broken ECU to TCU wire, which was bypassed with an overlay wire. The error code was cleared and the issue hasn't repeated since.
  19. Not sure how you mean wealth for chums, please explain ? Amazon, curry's, Wckes etc will be doing more business and their delivery arms. The electicity companies will get some free electricity pumped back in to the Grid but as it would not be the particular house supplier so will yge government claim this excess power going back in to the Grid from these 100ks or millions of balcony plug in solar uk buyers ? Unclear. Just weighing up which system to go with but might go for a solar battery now and wait for the balcony solar kits until spring. Battery is am looking at is portable and 5 kwh with 6 kw outout so could usefully charge an EV at a significant rate overnight. Can also put 6 kw of solar panels into it. Should pay for itself in 2 or 3 years abd is easily movable to my next property as are my panels.
  20. We are all supposed to be mugs, just because some are that believe politicians & spin doctors.
  21. buy 2 new big bolts for hubs, also buy new bolts for guard. for guard i would buy some inox bolts.
  22. @Evolution13It would be better if, instead of spinning all of these great plans and promises of job creation, etc., they came clean and openly admitted it was all wealth generation for their chums and donors to party funds, etc.
  23. Today
  24. sorry, i thought i had replied! it seems i dont get the drop outs when using an external SSD with the audio converted to m4a... so might be an android issue for me.
  25. That is excellent information, thank you. It matches what I remember. I changed the rear bearings and that was very easy. I could slide them of by hand after bolt #13 was removed. Only thing to be aware of is the high torque for that bolt when loosening and fastening (200Nm + 180deg or something like that). I am a bit afraid if bolts #12 would come out without a fight or breaking and what to do if not...
  26. As to the Data Centres and the many seeking planning permission in Scotland because of the temperatures and the supply of H2o for coolling. This is not going well for those spinning the story of jobs etc. Maybe they should be built at the Nuclear or GAS / COAL fired power stations that are decommissioned or on ex Military of Defence sites and air fields. But the water is very much the issue.
