  2. Patch dont Work with SD Card You have to Remove the unit and have to Open it.
  3. touchscreen for everything on the MK4 You can't beat buttons and twiddly knobs
  4. DaveLees replied to mistac's topic in Škoda Elroq
I can't see any mention of a home charger included in the 2.9% offer on the skoda site, so I presume that it must be a dealer deal.
  5. That code is just a referral, saying "check engine ECU, it has a stored fault code", I think.
  6. From memory bearing has to come out to replace splash guard anyway and safer to remove sensor when removing bearing . Reckon easiest way is to remove knuckle and scrap it with bearing and replace with new/second hand knuckle plus new bearing, splash guard and sensor. Dont fancy trying to get the old bearing bolts out judging by the corrosion on knuckle anyway. Whats the other side like? Alasdair
  7. Hello. Some time ago my skoda Columbus system started acting up and just isnt starting. I have seen several posts here with kinda similar problem. One fix i have seen here is updating with a firmware which some people can give here. I do hope its the system not the hdd that has failed. Could someone give the link to the ISO for my car fix? Also im kinda curious why is the link only given with PM-s? Some legal thing?
  8. Same crap. Charging AC at Girvan harbour. CPS and Electroverse card no access. Got phone answer quick and no Messing about with Liam. ID checked and remote start done. I waited till I needed 11 kWh as £5 minimum charge. Hopefully just a 90 minute wait as I listen to the radio and a full charge for early tomorrow start. PS now going to leave the car untill I see it has charged enough for a fivers worth. 20 minutes and only got 1.5 kWh of electric. 75 pence.
  9. Today
  10. Ooooo I loved Menorca when I went there years ago with my parents. Seemed a lot less busy than Mallorca the years before. Group D, so kinda Normal hatchback size. Decent chance it’ll be an Arona or a Leon.
  11. No idea what a "Style" model is, but even the base SE model has voice control. To be sure, download the digital certificate from the My Skoda app. It can be manually initiated by the button on the top left of the steering wheel. Initiation by the wake command "OK Laura" is a setting in the infotainment. I leave voice activation off as even when travelling alone, the radio can trigger it.
  12. By the looks of things I would probably be looking at doing the bearing housing (knuckle), bearing, sensor, splash guard and associated bits all at the same time.
  13. Never meet your heroes. Was at the Hawthorns, as oft am, and Frank Skinner was walking around talking to various in the crowd, he was miserable. Managed to shout to him his tv series, which he wrote appeared is SH1TE which is how the public reacted to it too. Like his stand up, but Shane was bad.
  14. PS Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon lead the SNP and filled their own pockets and advanced Independence not one little bit. Like Cuckoos. There are plenty Champagne Socialists that earn well from the public purse and were happy for true supporters money to fund their lifestyles.

  16. I assume you have factored the lower cost of petrol against the higher MPG of a TDI? Four passengers with suitcases would suggest a Combi as opposed to a Hatch - If going down the TSI route, suggest looking for a 1.0TSI 110 or 115PS engined version.
  17. There is another story. My mum went to school with him & worked at St.Cuthberts Bakery & Tam Connery at the Milk at the Coop. They were the same age but somehow all his life after body building and boxing and being an artists model he had a DOB making him younger. He said he lost his virginity to an older women. well considering he tried them all on and an 18 year old was older than his supposed 15 year old. Once at Downfield golf course in Dundee my pal shouted and asked for an Autograph and he told him to get to ****.
  18. Pic of tyre and excuse the dirty wheel, needs a wash. Similar tread pattern to the premium Michelin CC. Ive also removed the locking bolt, as I do with all my cars, as I dislike them.
  19. He does, genuinely seems to speak up for the poor. Chalk and cheese compared to Sean Connery who seemed exactly as a Scot abroad with so much to stay on Scottish independence. I like Brian Cox the actor and he seems to appear on UK tv ie Question time a few times. I like SNP actions on green issue, they appear more socialist than Labour.
  20. SNP Supporters that do not live in Scotland and pay taxes or even in the UK can say and do as they like, but not even having 1 vote is something, but their 1 voice might impress some but really it counts for nowt. Good that he impresses you @lol-lol
  21. I'm the opposite of most people on here as I like the coasting. Maybe because I experienced it in the late 1960s/early 1970s with two-strokes that had a lockable flywheel to prevent fuel starvation when you lift off the accelerator, which it turn starves the engine of lubrication. I previously lived in Brecon and I could easily coast for a couple of miles downhill when crossing the Brecon Beacons, but now I'm in Lincoln, which is the opposite of Brecon and is very flat!
  22. Brian big SNP supporter of course. Some of in England belief Scotland will only be properly free when it gets total political autonomy and we would be fascinated how it does. Hope to see it in my life time. If you love someone let them go.
  23. We used to buy single fire lighters for a wee sit around at a fire at the beach from his brother at his shop in Monifieth & we got single fag there. He was a real character that knew the price of everything and the cost of everything and the value of giving tick and being generous. No shop lifting from Charlie's. As to his brother i could not care less what he promotes or supports. I lived on Ferry Road and worked on the pumps at the Milton Garage when i was 15 and earned to buy my Moped. (My mum was Neil Forsyth,s baby sitter. He wrote the books and the screen play for the part Brian Cox played as the Burger Seller in Broughty Ferry. Neil Forsyth credits my mum with letting him read comics as his parents both doctors did not allow him to.)
  24. Hopefully some good deals like with Boxt boilers, ie £12 a month when they were saving more than that. One of Scotland's greatest sons, IMO, actor Brian Cox, not the astrophysics guy, was promoting and I have lots of respect for him. Hopefully some freebies from counculs, Octopus forcthe needy. I actually only use about 200w during the day time and electricty bit cheaper after 1900 usually. Also Octopus will be doing batteries next year which can be a big saving. Also would lije to see Octopus and others doing long term repayment so people using the saving to buy over 3 years or so. All doable and a chance this will happen much more than the previous governments.
  25. That’s interesting - why would they be available via Seat but not Skoda? The workings of VAG are sometimes quite mysterious, and I thought they all used ETKA? Anyway, I’m currently waiting for some parts to arrive from Slovakia…
  26. Yes Millions of people if this is true about balcony solar will be the haves not the have not.s getting it. People need money up-front to purchase. Or on tick, Klarna, credit, buy now pay later and default later and be deeper in the sh!7.
