  1. As you can tell, I’m now out the other side The operation didn’t exactly go to plan as I’ve woken up ticking like a clock because I now have a mechanical valve. Not ideal, but I’m alive! A couple of issues to work through, but so far so good. Gonna mean I have to give up football and snowboarding and be very mindful where I put my body. Still in ICU but only because there are no beds in the high dependency ward. When they told me this it was a massive weight off my shoulders. Already managed to get out of bed and a bit of walking on the spot, but breathing hurts and currently bleeding my chest of air!
  2. That was a bit of an anxious wait. Bloody good to 'see' you here. 😁
  3. Thanks fellas. I did ask for a picture of me cut open in the end, which they duly obliged!! Not had the balls to open my emails as yet 🙈
  4. Are you gonna sound like the crocodile in Peter Pan?
  5. Nicely done Jars, (and to the surgical team) fingers crossed the post op care and recovery is just as successful :) edit- make sure the surgical team know all your virtual friends are damn glad they didnt c0$% it up too!
  6. Nice to see you back and out the other side... And remember you may be ticking but that's a good sign all things considered!!
  7. Cheers fellas …. I was woken from the coma after 6 hours (was told to expect 12/18 given this is number 3) then “woke” at 2am Saturday morning. Just been told I’m off to the high dependency ward, so seems they are happy with how it’s going 🤘
  8. Must echo what Pete said. Glad to have ya back!
  9. Good on yer jars ,stay positive feller ,fingers and toes crossed for ya 👍👍
  10. yes indeed I love knowing that no one can just go and buy the same car, obviously up gti you can but it’s still different . Still got lots I want to do but it’s 90% there. And thanks for reading 👍🏼

It’s crazy definitely and it’s not going to be better soon…I was talking with my dealer later this week and he told me that his oldest order still active is June 2019 Octavia…🤦🏻‍♂️, orders for enyaq are still stopped, not one order for new karoq has arrived nor near to delivery… The only bright side of this story is that my kamiq will be in Slovenia next week it’s finally finished with all the extras and it will be ready for take over somewhere between 16th and 20th of May (2022) 😆 Funny about that…I didn’t know that they deliver it first to Logatec for deconservating and preparing the car for customer. I also got VIN number on Thursday and car is already visible in MyŠKODA app

Yep. I'd rather watch a clubbie at Cadwell with ICE and blaring exhausts.

Just been informed my Octavia estate VRS with winter pack has been built and in transit apparently 4-6 weeks from factory anyone reckon
  14. Updated with cars with owners.
  15. Only the drivers door has a hidden lock under the removable cover.
  16. You need to pry the plastic ends of the door latches to expose the locks, other then those i dont think there are any other applications to the key, so door lock, airbag, and child lock..
  17. Great to have you back with us
  18. Good shout… yeah great way to explain it to people!
  19. Just read this all the way through. A lot of hard work but it must give you a lot of satisfaction to see it finished and as you wanted. Well done.
  20. Nothing to mine but gave a friend's a deep clean and fitted a Maxton spoiler.
  21. Been scratching around the internet trying to find how to pair my key that has stopped operating the remote central locking. This procedure sorted the problem out straight away. Many thanks. 👍
  22. This is pretty much Real World for a not that high priced EV these days. Maybe more expensive than many want to pay for a new family sized car. Handy for those visiting places and people with EV's and where you can charge and are not having to go about trying to find chargers or ones working.
  23. Maps isn't the only difference between the two platforms. Why don't you help the original poster with some useful information to help them choose/decide?
  24. Went for a Karoq!

Same as Mk7 golf as far as the rod goes :
  26. I used an old slightly modified Kirby grip to sort some out before. This will give an idea of what's involved. https://youtu.be/5rlXZUvhEsQ
  27. So, just fitted yesterday. Biggest positive outcome is the chassis & steering feeling tighter & more responsive. Reduction in drivetrain slop too is also very welcome. Also very little extra vibration (more with AC unit running). I was expecting it to be worse & so if it only improves after bedding in for a few hundred miles, I'm happy!
  28. Brings a whole new meaning to the term 'red dotted'. Unless it's directions for the surgeon - heart under here somewhere.... 😁 G
  29. As the other two guys have said, my thoughts are with you, even if I'm quite a few hundred miles away.
  30. Well I popped in just to see what's going on with your Fabia vRS only to come across the last two pages! It's 9:45am on the 6th as I'm reading this, so I guess there might be a short delay in any updates 🙄 All the best Jars - see you on the other side. Even though I don't know you, my thoughts are with you Gaz
  31. Thinking of you this morning matey. 🙂
  32. I have an Octavia with electric seats and lumbar support, but I feel like I'm sitting in a hammock... OTOH, I am fairly tall and have a disproportionately tall upper body (short legs) and am recovering from a herniated disk from last year.
  33. Took it home and advertised it on Auto Express for the same price I bought it for 4 years ago. It was sold in less than 24 hrs and the couple liked it so much they didn’t even want to haggle. I got the full 10k compared to the 7700 that Arnold Clark offered.
  34. Can anyone tell me where the FM radio amplifier hides in a Superb estate? I believe the rear side windows form the antenna so im guessing near there. Im wanting to change mine to one which supports DAB - has anyone done this? thanks
  35. I currently have 366 in Teesside, bought it a couple of weeks back
  36. TBH, that looks like fairly normal surface rust. You'd only need to panic if there were lumps falling out.
  37. They will be there for someone else then and for the next customer they can maybe get the right ones. All the years they were at Burrelton and now in Perth and they never seem to get the hang of Skoda's and parts.
  38. Lovely colour. I have ordered the same car 🙂
  39. I assume 852 has now bitten the dust, as I've recently bought it's seats.....
  40. 005 is here with me in Mansfield where it’s been for the last 5 years with the previous owner
  41. I have number 565 located Derbyshire.
  42. I currently have number 10. It has only 16,850 miles on it too!
  43. Just boughtnumber 634 couple weeks ago over the moon with it porthmadog north wales
  44. No. 998 for sale on fb by Jordan Lowe , Nottingham. 110k miles.
  45. No mention of 719 in the original list, besides the below quote, however it is owned by this chap here.
  46. Being broken for parts on FB No. 69 on seats.
  47. Nice alloys on that motor as well IMO.
  48. My hand says no water sensor.
