  • I had so many spontaneous reboots this week with even 4 occurring on the same day that the infotainment system was practically unusable. That’s why I decided to go ahead and install 1941 yesterday.

Hi guys

I had the same issue and on my car and I have the 1896 version.

I installed (with an external application) a VRS theme on my dashboard and after the reset of the infotainment I also saw the dashboard turn back to the standard instrument (circular).

I have tried taking privacy off from the infotainment and it's been 2 months I have no reset, but only a few 2/3 times the dashboard has turn to the standard theme. Is a little step because is very unfrendly to loose the maps during the driving or the comunication if you are on the phone.

I was thinking and i might need it eventually so it would be a good idea to have it in storage, would you fine fellows provide me the link for the update please?

Many thanks!

Would appreciate the 1941 update, currently on 1896 with reboot issues, skoda garage just keep reloading the same 1896 back on.  Cars only a few months old.

So 1941 fix the issue completely?

For most of the owners YES, unfortunately not for me. I was talking with the dealer yesterday and he gave me an idea to do a factory reset and then to drive without connecting with Carplay to test if there would be any reboots.

No luck with changing privacy setting? Just curious, as it helped me, though I had the same issue with 1941 not fixing reboots.

Today, I’ve received a first update since updating to 1941 about a month ago.

Here’s the English translation of the changelog:

Software update

The system application update is free to download. You can exit this screen. The update will continue in the background and will even resume automatically in the next lifecycle when you exit the car.

This update contains:

I did. Will let you know how it works after I take another drive.

I got the 1941 installed by the dealer today.

I was on 1889 and only recently getting the odd day of constant restarts, then some days no problem at all.

it  also received an update on the way home which is still downloading, so may be a biggish one.

not done any long journeys yet, but so far the only changes i think I’ve noticed are:

 seems faster to load,

sub woofer seems louder, but i think this might be placebo,

interestingly, the g meter now has three options, it can display live, historical or remember the highest g I’ve pulled in any direction! I don’t think it did that before.

However my canton has a peculiar trait, which it has before the update too, but which the “individual” equaliser setting would change depending on which preset you started from. It’s hard to explain, but if you selected individual after being on “rock” or would sound very different then if you selected individual after it had been in “voice”. Like the start point of the changes was preset dependent.

not the same problem I’ve heard others complaining about where it forgets the equaliser settings on reboot.

Anyone get an unexpected software update today. I got it as I parked up at the supermarket and it had installed itself by the time I'd finished shopping.

No issues so far.

Can anyone seen me a link to the 1941 update please 🙏

Yesterday got one to, but it is failing. Background services cannot be started or something like that...

I've installed it. No issues after two drives.

I’ ve got 3 updates via OTA and I have nothing to lose, so I installed them. The latest was this morning.

Yes, will send a link along

Could I also have a link, please, plus instructions?  Does this invalidate my warranty if I do this myself?

Sending you a PM with details.

As long as everything goes well, the warranty should still be valid. But there's always a very small risk of potentially bricking the infotainment if anything goes wrong, so keep that in mind. Getting it unbricked would most likely be done outside warranty, since it's caused by the customer. Anyway, I think there's already 40+ users who have updated successfully and I haven't heard of any problems so far.

Hello,

Could I also have the link for 1941 ? Is is available in french ?

I currently have 1896 (hardware H58) and lots of reboots.

Do you also have the instructions how to install  it ? All the OTA updates I had are the navigation data only...

Thanks

I've received and installed the same OTA in this morning. Hopefully it will not break, again, the software!

I am still running 1889 with no probs .

I just had this OTA update

No problems image.thumb.jpeg.eb9f09ab3dffc3eab2d583179ad371e6.jpeg

After the 3 OTA updates, is it still 1941? I’ve got no OTA and Connected Service here.

OTA updates do not change the software version, never have. For 3 years there have been rumors that future software updates will be released over-the-air, but nothing concrete so far.
