  1. Past hour
  2. Check out the photo of the open rear door - that’s a sharps bin! Looks to be a fully custom interior. Either way, I wouldn’t discount it. At least you have photos of exactly what was where, should you go to view it. Out of interest, are these the only cars you’re looking at for a reason? I saw a few on there that sit on the middle ground.
  3. Further to my previous reply, which was written from how I thought I was doing things, this morning I made a note of exactly what I was doing when maneuvering using creep. I have Auto Hold on all the time, I don't switch off to creep. The key to smooth creeping seems to be a delicate presses of throttle OR brake pedals. To shunt back and forth, a light touch on the brake and the gear selector can be moved from D to R OR R to D just before coming to a complete halt - possibly its learning the 'timing' - the auto hold only engages when the car is stationary and you still have pressure on the brake pedal. To creep up carefully and very close to a fixed object like a wall or parked car I was controlling the speed with a very light pressure on the brake pedal. Note that the Emergency braking is feature which uses the parking sensors and front radar is disabled if the brake pedal is being pressed. I experimented with empty cardboard boxes some time ago- my car would always stop before the boxes when creeping without brake pedal pressure, but would hit the boxes if I was lightly pressing the brake pedal. As an aside brake pedal pressure can also be used to prevent Stop/Start from switching the engine off, just reduce the brake pedal pressure slightly just as the car stops, I have stop/start switched on but it hardly ever stops the engine, my right foot has somehow' learnt' to reduce the pedal pressure.
  4. Incredible. Many wonderful luxury vehicles about be them BEV or ICE. Lets see just how they are behaving in a decade or so. Not that those getting them new or nearly new now are likely to have them still in 10 years. If they do have them and had no major expenditure for repairs they could be a real bargain transportation.
  5. Today
  6. Haha, I know what you mean. You don't need to elaborate. If I buy that one, it might get used hard but maybe not that hard as I'm always running late at times. 😉
  7. I take it you have knowledge of the rear passenger door. I'll not ask why unless you want to share the reason ;-) Cheers by the way
  8. On my sons 1.2htp 55 plate its external but the actuator rod is inside. His clutch totalled itself suddenly with no warning. When I did the clutch there was a very slight leak from the internal rubber gator part so fitted a new one. There not expensive. Alasdair
  9. Hi my rear wiper motor stop working so i replaced the unit but still not working. Does anyone know is there i relay somewhere i could change or have any idea where i might look to fix this .

  11. Underlining the massive difference in value, spec and performance between Chinese Audi badged big SUV car and European Audi big SUV. Shame not planned to come to UK, yet......... We stuck with very expensive, twice the price, European fossil fuels behemoth and Chinese start of the art car....
  12. Oh, I completely agree. I’d rather buy a car that has had a hard life, but been taken care of, than one seldom used and seldom serviced. Frankly, the only issue with emergency service vehicles is that they are often floored from cold, potentially left idling for a while, and take flight over speed bumps. Police cars are a different story - you won’t find a matching body panel.
  13. I know, that’s why I attached the photos! They are of the exact car you are looking at, East Midlands Ambulance Service 3633 - FB19OHP. Hopefully the rear passenger door has been thoroughly cleaned.

  15. That may be the case... But I know from someone who used to service NHS car like this that they are generally very well looked after despite potentially having a hard life... which counts for a lot too.

  17. I cleared the errors with VCDS and its been fine until yesterday when its gone into limp mode again so its worked for 20k miles and 5 yrs. Car is used mainly for short journeys so I suppose that won't help.
  18. I just zoomed in on the photo and saw the reg of the 2019 one.
  19. No in answer to your question about body work holes. There is a missing grommet in the boot and the spare is sitting in the wheel well untethered. No jack or wheel brace. I gather it's had one haldex service.
  20. Yeah I heard about the motor, but the passenger window works on it's own switch so I just bought a replacement drivers switch for £8. If it doesn't work then I'll sort the motor. Thanks for the heads up on the clutch change. I was aware of the slave cylinder but thought they were internal, I'll change that too while I'm at it.
  21. I tried the above advice yesterday and of course it was spot on. Turned off auto hold, there was a slight delay then the car crept forward. Previously I had reversed out of my drive rather too suddenly with the auto hold on; I presume I will need to leave autohold off until l am in the road. Thanks again to all for the valuable advice.
  22. Yes, similar like this when i only press the brake pedal
  23. It's a magical couple of weeks after repair. All very odd and not much like quality engineering. Puts me off ever going Skoda again.
  24. The front windows may be the drivers side motor. It controls the passenger side as well. There known to fail electronics but Breezy Pete on here repaired my sons for me. Clutch change is not bad. Managed to do my sons on car ramps and suspended box rather than get it out from under car although the plate between the bell housing and engine gets caught up and get new bolts for driveshafts. Watch the bolts that go into dogbone bush at rear of box. They are different lengths and if you get them mixed up you will trash the steering rack as its above and the bolt goes too far in. I replaced slave while I was at it as although its external if it leaks you wont notice. There excellent cars and so far fairly easy to work on and pretty reliable. Alasdair
  25. Lots of money to be made with eye wear or operations. The car collection of David Moulsdale @ the Moulsdale Foundation Museum is well worth a visit. It is in Bishopbriggs Glasgow. There are open days when you might be lucky to get a ticket. David Mousdale's fortune came from Optical Express.

  27. Confused me. Saying that all my cars were old school seven pin and no reverse sensors etc. Not a bad thing though. Nothing worse than the glare of a fog light bouncing of a caravan back at you. Alasdair
  28. Perhaps time for them to try another valve replacement.
  29. Feels like we are getting there with the rebuild, last night we got Injectors back with all new seals Cooling system largely reconnected (There are sooooo many little coolant hoses!!) Charge air cooler refitted with new gaskets Seems so little when you write it down but there was so many little fiddly jobs that just ate up time, back at it again tonight, hopefully get it started today, but we have been saying that for the last 2 days... so maybe, maybe not!
  30. Just a quick update to the thread, both to keep this documented for future reference and in case someone has a fresh idea or a similar experience to share. Since my last post, the dealership went ahead and replaced the Engine ECU. The result? Absolutely no change. I picked up the car yesterday, turned the ignition on, and immediately got the Start-Stop error. Within two ignition cycles, the Check Engine Light was back with the exact same static code: P25AB00 (Piston Cooling Oil Control Circuit High) on a cold start. To recap, the entire chain is now 100% brand new OEM: New Oil Control Valve N522 (06K115243L) New Engine Wiring Harness New Engine ECU If anyone has any new insights or has seen this happen on Superb 2022 2.0 TSI 280HP, please let me know. I'm completely baffled.
  31. @Dready I recorded mine.. is it similiar to your noise? Bremsenknarzen.m4a
