Brake pads wear indicator does fabia colour edition have brake pads wear indicator light on dash ?
Does yours? I'm struggling to find mention of the pad wear sender in any wiring diagrams for mk4 Fabia, or mk3 for that matter.

Brake pads wear indicator does fabia colour edition have brake pads wear indicator light on dash ?
@Lar Only 2,000 miles, but over 4 years, maybe the low miles mean your pads do lots of cleaning off surface rust on the discs. Or you just use the brakes lots.

Black window trims
On my 2019 Scala, the plastic window trims have faded in a patchy fashion. If anyone else has experienced this, can they suggest the best product to bring back original finish?

Cambelt change for 1.5TSI engine
I had this indie garage replace the Cambelt yesterday, the price went up to 575. Still a good price and no idea why it is less than others have experienced. They are all ex VAG mechanics. The breakdown of costs, 180 +vat for belt kit, 300 + vat for labour. I’m guessing about 60/hr for labour for a five hour job. I know it requires quite a bit of dismantling.

Rear Traffic Alert / Blind Spot Monitor currently unavail.
Hi, I have the exact same problem as you. Could you suggest which tool I could use to reset the error codes? Thank you

Brake pads wear indicator does fabia colour edition have brake pads wear indicator light on dash ?
Lar Every Skoda Fabia Mk4 Owner's Manual refers to there being an orange/yellow warning light for "Worn brake pads". The light looks like this and is shown in the "Indicator lights" section near the front of the Manual and in the "Brakes" section further on ("Brake Pads" in the Manual's index.) I believe it can be safely assumed from this that all Fabia Mk4s have a brake-pad wear-sensor that will trigger a warning light when the pads become unduly worn. I did check whether that particular warning light would appear on my 2024 Fabia SE L's instrument-cluster when I turned on the car's ignition. It did not, so I presume it only illuminates when worn pads are detected. (Your forum Profile suggests that your Fabia Colour Edition is a 2022 model, so I'm doubtful about the mention that "...it has done 2k miles..." in your enquiry. Perhaps you meant "...it has done 20k miles..."?)

Air quality sensor replacement
Welcome to the forum. It shouldn't be too difficult to find a competent A/C engineer near you, try a trawl on Google and take a careful look at their reviews.

Am I alone in thinking Skoda are not as good as in the past.....
Tend to agree, not as good as they used to be. I've had various Skodas since 2002 [all purchased new ] starting with a Fabia Elegance TDI estate and now on a 2025 Karoq 1.5 SEL which has already had warranty repairs on some weird problem with the infotainment display. Dont have the same faith in them as I used to.

Help getting the correct EGR cooler part?
Between p200200 error and p0401 "Exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient" it's looking like I need a new EGR cooler and low pressure valve My indy mechanic is fine with me supplying parts to fit - but I'm wondering how to ensure I deffo get the right part. Autodoc gives this selection for my CUNA, 184HP MY16 Scout, but I'm wondering if there is a way to make absolutely sure I order the right part via VIN https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/cooler-egr-13337/skoda/octavia/octavia-combi-5e5/59679-2-0-tdi-rs?fromSearch=1 I think I'd be erring towards this Mahle part - in fairness - based mostly on vibes rather than any kinda expertise! https://www.autodoc.co.uk/mahle-original/15289375 I'm also a bit unsure as to if I need gasket set from somewhere and if so, I've struggled to find those parts! I's welcome any anvice folks Cheers! Jono

Air quality sensor replacement
Hi, I've recently had an almost identical experience with my 2016 TDi: Air con stopped blowing cold suddenly, went to a garage in Bristol (BS3 Motors) that found the Air Quality Sensor fault code, regassed, said there were no obvious leaks then suggested replacing the sensor for about £220 including 90 mins labour. I ordered a cheap Chinese part online and fitted it myself with no tools apart from a small screwdriver in less than 10 mins. This threw up various error codes, so got a German made Hella part instead (Skoda-Parts.com were helpful and only charged the difference in price without asking for the dodgy part to be returned - you might say they shouldn't have stocked the Chinese part, but to be fair I think I knew I was taking a bit of a risk buying it!) All the error codes are now resolved, but although the fan is working away, the air is, alas, still not conditioned! I left BS3 Motors a not very complementary review. Although I think it was completely fair, and quite moderately worded, I don't suppose they would welcome me back, even if I trusted them - which of course I don't. Any suggestions of: a) anything I might be able to check myself as an incompetent DIYer? b) any garage in or around Bristol that knows what the are doing with air con?

Wrong suspension springs -help
some shops still offer kit E10-79-012-04-22 (F11-85-042-03-FA + F11-79-008-01-HA) for AWD Superbs Mk3 -> https://www.eibachshop.co.uk/products/eibach-pro-kit-lowering-springs-e10-79-012-04-22 when i order for my previous FWD, i was sure it's from AWD, because that were the goal, avoid huge lowering as with FWD springs the main question is, how springs with the same number can be that different? p.s. have you try rotate spring around its axle?

Octavia II 2.0 TDI CFHC – repeated throttle actuator failures + new P242C EGT sensor fault
Might be a wiring/connector issue to the throttle body. It may be that when new the pins make decent contact but if plug on wiring loom end is loose/coroded/worn pins over time may be breaking contact and causing problem. The p242c is either the EGT sensor iss failing or perhaps broken wires. Alasdair

Squeal from front
Might be the disk shield thats touching slighty. Mine are fairly rusty and weak and can sometimes make contact or your pads have an audible wear indicator thats touching disk. Check the thickness of pads inner and outer. Alasdair

Cairus's Leon FR
The Leon needed a little TLC; it wasn't running smoothly anymore, especially at idle. So, I pulled out the spark plugs and coils to check the combustion pattern... It turned out cylinder 2 looked like it had been wet at some point. I installed four new NGK plugs and coils, and now it runs silky smooth again.
