I could be interested to replace my Kodiaq Mk1, but 28mn to charge batteries from 10 to 80% (Skoda value for 90kW version) seems still quite long to me. Just for comparison Xpeng G9 says 12mn for the same WLTP range...

75000km service today: oil change + oil filter replacement + cabin filter replacement. Everything went fine. 🙂

I will try a factory reboot again. 1. Turn on the ignition and switch on Infotainment. 2. Tap the Menu / settings icon (usually a gear or the MENU button). 3. Go to Reset to factory settings (or System → Factory settings / Restore factory settings). 4. Select and confirm the reset. 5. After it finishes, check that all user accounts have been deleted to confirm success. These are the steps, right?

Evening all, Picked up my new (to me) 2022 Superb L&K yesterday. Really pleased with it, but am having one minor issue when trying to set myself up as the primary user on Škoda Connect. When I try to become the Primary User, the car asks me to authenticate using two of the three keys. The process consistently detects both keys successfully (0/2 → 1/2 → 2/2), but then the car sits on a loading screen and eventually brings up and root message. The MyŠkoda app eventually reports that the process has been ‘aborted’. I’ve tried quite a lot of troubleshooting, including: Trying all three keys, and every possible two-key combination/order Keeping the unused third key well away from the car Soft-resetting the infotainment system Removing the vehicle from the MyŠkoda app Closing my original Škoda account and creating a completely new one Deleting and reinstalling the MyŠkoda app from my phone Confirming that the only users shown in the car are my own profile and Guest Factory-resetting the infotainment system Reset all factory settings I occasionally also get a message saying that a vehicle key has already been detected and that I should use a different vehicle key, despite the Primary User activation never completing. The key authentication itself appears to work correctly every time, so I’m wondering whether there could be an issue with the Škoda Connect registration, infotainment software or online connectivity module. I appreciate there are a few threads on this (where I got most of the above troubleshooting advice from!) but nothing that solves it for me. Any other ideas? Otherwise I imagine it will be off to a dealer to see if they can resolve it. Thanks.

Problems on this car are like buses. You wait years for one and.......you know the rest. Mine was registered September 2015 but I've owned it since September 2017. In the last 4/6 weeks; Main car key snapped. Coolant tank drains in one day from full. Inner door handle snapped. Has your coolant tank sprung a leak and if so, what did you have to replace? I want to give a garage a heads up when explaining the issue. And I'm not going to Murray Group main dealer. They scammed me out of £860 on a brake job. Also, how simple is it to DIY replace the inner door handle? Need to find the part number. Same with the car key. Thank you.

The policy lapses with the death of the policy holder, so she cannot be covered by the policy as it has lapsed.

I suppose that’s the clutch hole for lhd. I’ll have a look and see if I have it too as I’d rather go behind the dash than through engine bay Edit: I can feel it through a gap in the carpet but engine bay side would have to take battery etc out again and I’m not sure I can be bothered!

Es gibt unter der Haupt Durchführung noch eine mit der Gummi Tülle sogar welche sogar verschlossen ist. Sicherungskasten ist bei mir Höhe BCM aber davor. Hölle was nachpinnen. There's another one under the main cable gland, this one even has a rubber grommet and it's sealed. My fuse box is at the level of the BCM, but in front of it. What a pain to repin!

Do you not have the fuse box crammed up above the pedals? Have you ever got cables through the main grommet? Are there any others to go through other than the clutch one?

I took the car to a garage to have it for a few days. They check if there was any oil in the cylinders after leaving the car overnight and there was no oil found using a camera. They checked for timing chain stretching and it was within tolerances. Then added injector cleaner and took it for an extended test drive from cold. They confirmed the rough idol was just from cold start up so most probable cause would be carbon build on the valves. As the rough idol is on start up only they advised leaving until it is noticeable when driving or there is a misfire that causes the engine light to come on. Until it does get worse they said it current state did not justify the cost of the carbon clean. As my Audi is due for collection in the next few weeks after a long period in the garage and the Skoda will be used less going forward I will leave doing any more work on it for now.

Thank you Steve most appreciated, it was been a difficult few years for me with being forced to retire early by my company and the deaths of my dad, soul mate and last year mum, hopefully this new car will signify a new start for me and better luck 🙂

My local dealer has both 1.5 and 2.0 in used stock, so i'll go and try both this week. My gut feel is the 1.5 will be fine, it's the same engine I have in my Golf and I won't be towing (just need towbar for bike mount) or off-roading, so can live without the extra 35bhp and 4x4 - but we'll see. I should be fine with the 19"ers, I had them on my last VRS and only yelped a few times when hitting potholes. I'd rather live with that and the sportline's styling than go for comfort in a plainer exterior. I'd also rather not have the pano roof but seems it's standard on sportlines since the 2022 facelift and with proper maintenance, it can be a non-issue (wishful thinking maybe?) They're good looking cars and I like that there's still proper buttons inside for the heating, auto stop/start etc... My wife will be happier driving it than the Octavia estates and the boot will be so much more usable than the Golf (which doesn't even take my GOLF clubs comfortably!) My best mate passed away last week. His wife is the named driver on the policy, like most spouses. My question is, is she still covered? Obviously we need to let the insurers know (and register the car to her with the DVLA) By her own admission, she's not the best at sorting things out, so I'm going to help her. Cheers

I had the 1.0 litre SE Drive with 17" wheels before I bought my present 1.5 litre SE L Edition with 18" wheels a few weeks ago. I thought the SE Drive was the most comfortable car I have ever had. The SE L Edition is certainly on a par and probably that bit better but not a lot in it. Never driven a Sportline so can't comment on that. But if it has diamond cut wheels which I think it has, I would steer well clear.

As a fellow ex-software engineer I couldn’t agree with you more. I’ve given up on my Superb after 18mths, I collect my brand new Honda Civic e:HEV in 3wks time. I won’t be coming back to Skoda/VAG unless they manage to get their act together, if that’s before the Chinese wipe them out…

Skoda being awkward then. Nowhere does it say any of those inspections are a requirement. Why can't these big companies just abide by their own warranty habdbooks!

Thanks. I'm hoping no major damage was done as I only drove a couple of miles with the noise. Gonna try and find a long thin magnet and see if that can fish it out. Plus it gives my bro an excuse to buy a borescope! Will let you know what we find...
