Very wet carpets
Update:- all holding good and drying out slowly. It's surprising how much moisture the felt-type mats hold. Also, a big problem is the very dense foam moulding that fits from the end of the felt mat, under the pedals and part way up the bulkhead. Does anyone know where such a moulding can be purchased, as I think its going to be virtually impossible to dry it?

Skoda Superb Mk3 - Best MIB3 Columbus Head Unit part number?
You realize you need an OCU High 3? You cannot legally unlock the function via ODIS. Removing Component Protection is possible. Furthermore, the MIB3 and OCU 3 use Automotive Ethernet to communicate with the Virtual Cockpit and the sound system (if present). Both must be Ethernet-compatible.

P0441 Evap: Incorrect Purge Flow 2020 Kamiq SEL 1.5TSi
Wife's car 23,000 miles bought 2 years ago from main dealer failed MOT on Check Engine Light Showing. This is the saga 🇨🇬 Check Engine light shows 2 days prior to MOT date, duly fails 25Aug26.☹️ Connect ODB reader & it shows one DTC. (P0441 “Incorrect Purge Flow”) Check fuel tank cap & seal (All OK) Clear DTC Code returns within 1 mile whilst driving. Code P0441 detected Recheck fuel cap seal & start research in manual, forums & online. First port of call seems N80 solenoid valve. Code cleared, Code returns within 1 mile of driving. Cleaned pipes on inlet manifold & checked electrical connectors to N80 solenoid & GV 344 Pressure sensor. Small crack found on insulation of Pin1 wire on GX 344 sensor (manifold pressure), so checked conductor continuity – OK, but reinsulated wire with liquid tape. Used hot air gun to soften hard plastic pipes, removed & checked N80 Evap system solenoid valve – OK on & off the car – both solenoid & pipes are completely clean – no sign of debris/dust/charcoal. Code cleared, Code returns within 1 mile of driving. Conclude GX 344 sensor faulty – not available separately so: Bought new genuine VW/AG N80/GX344 plus pipe assembly (all in one with quick connectors) & fitted. (£117) Code cleared Test drive of 15-20 miles All OK😀 Check Engine light shows following morning 1 mile after restart.😡🤔 Connect ODB reader & it shows one DTC. (P0441 again) Remove rear wheel & wheelarch liner, investigate activated charcoal canister & blow through all pipes. Remove canister & weigh – 1.700 Kg Check for weight of new one which is 1.330 Kg Conclude canister is contaminated, so order new VW/AG one. (£167) 01Sep2026 LLL Parts take 5 days to dispatch an apparently "in-stock" item then DPD/Evri delays so part gets to me late Sep 11th (outside of my 10 working days free MOT retest)😠 Fit new canister (after checking weight!) Sat 12th & arrange retest for today 14th Sept (I've dealt with this garage for MOT's for over 35 years so they squeezed me in) PASS MOT The actual mechanical work is very straightforward, I could change sensors/pipes & canister in an hour now I know exactly what to do, but I have a nagging thought that only the canister needed replacing & my gx344 & N80 were fine - I know the N80 is certainly OK. It took hours of reading about these over complex modern petrol engines to find why & how to do the job, but the job was simple even at my advanced years (76☹️) Anyway, wifey is now happy so I suppose it was £384 well spent - cheaper than a new cooker anyway😇

Wiring *rear* dash cam?
How did you fit your rear dash cam? If anyone can give pics or pointers for how to run the wire from front dash cam to the rear I'd be really grateful. Did you have to remove the headliner? Thank you!

Skoda Superb Mk3 - Best MIB3 Columbus Head Unit part number?
Hi all, I am looking into upgrading / retrofitting the infotainment system on my Skoda Superb Mk3 (3V) to a full MIB3 Columbus setup. Could someone please share the best OEM part numbers for the MIB3 Columbus main unit (glovebox unit / brain) that supports navigation and Virtual Cockpit mapping? Also, if there are specific hardware revisions (e.g., Harman unit indices) or common retrofit pitfalls with ODIS / Component Protection / OCF coding that I should be aware of, I'd appreciate your advice! Thanks in advance!

Ongoing project
Well a quick update on the vrs. Went into r-tech for a couple of weeks. And has had a k03 hybrid turbo, wagner intercooler, and k04 injectors. Plus some other supporting mods. And some general maintenance bits. Very happy with the results. As can be seen in the photo she now has 3 boost levels.

Car will not identify a space to park in
I've had similar problems on the few occasions that I have tried the park assist. It does seem to work better when there are already parked cars for it to orientate itself against; empty car parks seem less successful. But that may just be my imagination. However ... at a local mini roundabout that I pass each day, the park assist always engages as I pull up to the roundabout and starts to look for parking spaces 🤨

Issues with Mk 4 1.5 TSI
Skoda roadside assistant told me that the codes are cleared when he couldn't find any after being put into limp home mode. I called recovery when driving home slowly but as it was 10pm at night I asked for them to come the next day. When the guy turned up he could see there had been an issue but couldn't tell what it was as there were no fault codes showing.

Wrong suspension springs -help
It looks like the F11-79-008-01-HA rear spring (and E10-79-012-04-22 kit) isn't for a Superb MK3...but a Superb MK2 and other VAG cars that were based on the Golf MK5/MK6... The eibach de website has an online catalogue that should list suitable kits. https://www.eibach.de/en/iam

Help needed to code out reversing camera from new head unit, NW London
Hello In need of some help please. I recently swapped out the RNS 315 nav unit in my Fabia II Combi and replaced it with a RCD 360 from China. With the maps on the 315 now getting a bit stale (VW stopped supplying updates about 4 years ago), the new unit instead offers a factory-fit-like option with Carplay and Android Auto. However, the new unit is coded, by default, to support a reversing camera. I have no plans to fit one, and it's an annoying error (no camera found) to have to clear from the 360's display the first time I try to reverse each trip. The AliExpress seller of the head unit has sent me a series of screenshots to help navigate through the VCDS steps needed to code out the reversing camera function (Warning, they are in Chinese, but they've marked everything up so hoping it's going to be more a case of following the boxes rather than having to translate stuff). However, I don't have VCDS myself. hoping someone who does in my broad radius (I'm in NW London, but happy to travel as needed to get this done) will be able to help me out. Happy to come to you and pay you for your time, though this should be a quick process, hopefully. Thanks Chris

Wrong suspension springs -help
Can someone please shine some light on this ? Time came for the Eibach springs to get fitted last week only to find out that the rear springs don't fit at all. They are hitting rear droplinks without any weight put on them. Yes i know the springs are for estate and my car is saloon but they don't fit. Unless my mechanic doesn't know how to fit them I'm really lost. Pictures attached below

I don't even know what this part is called in English, all I know is I need a new one...
Right, right. Another lad replied on my YouTube channel about it, said my car is missing the missing the exhaust manifold heat shield / 'hot air collector': https://www.skoda-dily.cz/nahradni-dil/115050680-predehrivac-vzduchu-evropska-unie-1031.html . Huzzah! Another part to buy. 😑

Car will not identify a space to park in
I have a 2025 Skoda Diesel L&K and notice no matter how many times I try and engage Parking Asist to find a suitable parking space it fails to recognise any even when I am driving slowly in a supermarket carpark after pressing the 'P' icon on the infotaintment screen and indicating. What more do I need to do?

Offered an OTA update today
Whoops should have read a bit further. Wireless Android Auto is flawless for me now. It was a pain before.

I don't think you can do that on MIB3?

Offered an OTA update today
You can't add them manually on the MIB3. Not got my 334 update yet. I have 332 at the moment with random issues connecting to Android Auto so hopefully when it arrives it should fix those
