  1. Looks like AUD to me.
  2. For information, I registered my diesel vRS and the sticker came about 5 days later. We are off to the Loire valley and Brittany in May. I think the only time the sticker is required is if you visit certain city centres, Bonne journee and all that..
  3. Didn't find anywere so as the title says here is how to remove acc cover Remove these caps. Put a screwdriver in to the hole press it and push forward. Acc radar.
  4. Just to clarify. The MOT is up at the end of the month, but we needed the car to get to the airport last week. It was yet to be taken apart and was waiting on our say so. As it is still just in MOT, we took it and are returning it to the garage for the work to be completed on the 20th. Garage were happy for us to take the car with the warning to be wary, but to be honest I haven't noticed the braking being noticeably poor. I think my confidence in the garage is good. I am not keen to take it to a Skoda/VW garage as I suspect their diagnosis is annoyingly accurate. They are very fussy about their MOTs, but that's not a bad thing. And if the problem went innoticed, the last thing we want is for the brakes to suddenly fail and the car to swerve into something hard as it tries to stop. My annoyance is more that after 55K miles, I don't think this sort of part should fail - or be so damned expensive to replace due to not being able to split the different parts.

Hello from Scotland. I’ve lost count of the number of times a Google search for useful Skoda info has sent me here, so I’m well overdue setting up an account (and donating towards the upkeep of the site!) I’ve had Skodas for the past five years: Karoq SE L (2021 -> 2024) - handed back at end of lease period Karoq Sportline (2024) - written off after it was crashed into while parked Karoq Sportline (2025 -> 2026) - insurance replacement for previous Sportline, traded in Superb mk4 SE L (2026 -> ?) - bought so we could fit the dog and a pram in the car at the same time! Hope to learn from this community as well as contributing! Cheers

Welcome to the community! It sounds like you’ve had quite a journey with Skodas over the past few years. Moving from Karoqs to the Superb makes sense for extra space with a dog and pram. The discussion here is really helpful for sharing experiences and tips, and it’s great that you’re looking to contribute as well.
  7. AGM has a different profile for my wife's 2015 Fabia with stop/start. AGM batteries have been used on much older cars without VW's stop/start and battery monitoring computer programs but if your Yeti is a stop/start and you need to 'code' the battery then I'd have thought that you need to 'code' in for AGM instead of EFB. It depends? Do you get snow where you live in winter? A little or a lot? If you need it, this channel might help: https://www.youtube.com/tyrereviews
  10. My mistake. In reality, the size of the winter tires is 215/60/16, which means that the manufacturer's recommendations were followed.
  11. You should probably note that he's posting about an Octavia, no idea why in a Karoq forum. As I said previously, I've not seen any further reports of issues. But probably wise to only accept it when you have the time to run through the settings & resolve any changes/issues. Another VAG shortcoming IMO that there's no option to back up your settings to a USB drive. I've still not been offered it but @Frizzbee30 says there were no issues.
  12. It hasn't been changed before. I bought the car in January 2020 at which point it had done 6500 miles.
  13. @Warrior193 sorry I forgot to tag you in my reply above!

Hi and welcome to Briskoda @Jaydeeace 👋
  15. yes i was going to come back to you thanks for asking. He got the engine started by holding down the accelerator (i think my friend had flooded the engine as well as the underlying leak). Maybe he caused the leak by stressing the engine or maybe it was already there... anyway I've forgiven him... 😅 So we got the engine running but we couldn't see a leak but there as clear smell of fresh petrol. nothing coming from the rails or the fuel line. He presumed O ring seal failure. In the garage now, hoping it's a simple as yours with just a seal replacement and tightening of bolts. Annoyingly garage won't deal with warranty companies but I might just take the hit. Will let you know what the garage says. Glad to hear you've had no further problems. Like I said we only got the car 10 days ago so it feels really worrying that this might suggest loads of further problems but it seems like it could just be a coincidence??
  16. Hi , It's all sorted out by the newest release of the system setup, by Skoda.
  17. Hello, I am in France, my 2014 VRS TSI is crit'air 1.
  18. There might be an entry at MENU -> CAR -> STATUS (done that from memory so may be incorrect) to give a hint. It could just be a dirty connection on your trailer light socket/plug.
  19. New Pruis is pretty good. Taxi drivers would not use by the bucket load if it was not very good. The little 8 kw motor on the rear wheels, brilliant, 4x4 on the cheap. On the other hand their launch of the BZ4 was disastrous. It took Bjorn Nyland to tell them their battery buffering was all wrong !!!!
  20. Just needs a charger giving out what it can and not affected by ambient temps low or very high or grid or transmission issues, and vehicles battery at optimum 30*oC or what ever.

The jelly-like gunk is a by-product of bacterial degradation of the organic component of the screenwash additive. Best way to stop it is to use a wee bit of disinfectant in the tank. My day job was as an industrial chemist and I spent some years working with surfactants. If my jets block with general road muck thrown up, I also clear the pipe by operating the washer for a few seconds without the jet in place.
  23. Have the same on my old one although just one thats failed but came accross this https://www.briskoda.net/forums/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=90536 Pretty detailed guide on how to plus think LED parts are listed. Alasdair
  24. I cannot see how that can be done with the enyaqs curve it would need 120kw charging for the full 28 minutes . Assuming 10% is 8kw and 80% is 64kw = 56kw delivered in 28 mins (56/28x60=120)
  25. Sad that it is, I do watch it. The 65kW charge was when the battery was at 10%, it was 25C, I had been driving for over an hour prior to starting the charge, the charging station had 10 x 350kW chargers and there was no other car being charged. So I guess that would be perfect charging conditions. I take part in EV car rallies both in UK and abroad, I I see how slow my charging is compared to others, eg. Kia, Mercedes, BYD, etc. Charging speed is the driver for me to buy a new Skoda Sportline but I need confirmation that the max charging power is 175kW.
  26. Yes VW say not to use additives. Then there are VW / Audi branded additives and these are sold by VW Group dealers and offered by VW Group / Skoda technicians / Service Desk staff at services.
  27. Hi Evolution13, Yes it had the major software update, but this did little to improve the charging power. My local Skoda dealer also investigated and nothing untoward was found. The charging curve sent by Stonekeeper indicates the peak DC speed is 135kW. At https://evkx.net/models/skoda/enyaq_iv/ the Skoda Enyaq 85x is shown as a max charging of 175kW. Is this the charging rate for new Enyaq Sportline 85 coming off the production line?
  28. ^^^ Exactly right. 5w 30 FS III is Long Life oil for Fixed or Variable Servicing. VW 504 00 / 507 00 with TSI,s. & 5w 40 FS iVW 502 00 s for fixed Servicing with TSI,s, (5w 40 FS not for TDI,s)... Only mix if a little. But using 5w 40 FS (non Long life) is Simply Clever IMO.
  29. Yes, I use royal purple 5w40 in my 1.2 tsi fabia previously motul x cess gen 2 5w40. Look for vw 502.00 for fixed service or vw 504.00 spec for variable service
  30. I've had one of these for 4 years now in SEL spec. Great car and intend to keep for another 4 at least. I had mine done last year when it was 7yrs old and on 51k. No brainer decision for myself as I'm looking to retain.

Yes, although mine blocks up even though I stick the same stuff in! I can sometimes improve it by clearing it with a pin, but not always. The worst part of getting a new one is having to set it up to stop spraying the road!
  33. Hi, I recommend reading the user's manual. As Far As I Remember, Fuel Additives are prohibited by VAG. Regarding oil additives, how many miles on the clock of your Superb? If it's already above 100000, I fear a pre-oil change additive may be worse than a plain oil change. Indeed, if it has too much detergent properties, it could loosen a whole bunch of residue that could stick where it shouldn't and thus clog some holes/hoses/pipes, and then preventing the normal oil flow with many damages as a consequence... If you really want to have an idea of how dirty it is. Maybe just remove the oil pan and clean it with white spirit. Then just pay attention to the oil pan seal. I don't now if it's a real seal with a P/N or if the oil pan is sealed using a gasket sealant.
  34. Hi, Your long coding depends on how your Superb is specced. Considering yours sayings, I assume your garage is not an official dealer. Based on this, I would recommend to go to an official dealer to have everything reset and have the bill paid by your 'so-called' specialist. Crossing the fingers for you.
  35. That is to say, on re-reading, Crit'Air 1. Sorry, I was getting confused between Euro 6 and Crit'Air 1.... but still good, we're in a decent category!!
  36. As said not advised taste wise but hope you get to the bottom of it. Havent heard of a matrix system before but you learn every day. Unless its a small amount of brake fluid I cant see why the level isnt dropping. A long shot but maybe a problem with matrix itself As said hope you get it sorted. Alasdair
  37. I don't think it's the tires, since the behavior is the same with the summer ones. winter - 215/55/16. summer 225/50/18
  38. They're known as 'burls' and are usually the reaction of the tree to some insult or intrusion into the bark layer. The complex growth patterning - "figuring" - within burls makes them highly attractive to woodworkers.
  39. Our Clio hybrid went nuts when it was RAC rescued after I attended a sponsored Ferrari event at Oulton Park and the car was never the same again. Renault boasted the car had 15 different modes it could choose in balancing the ICE and EV system. After that RAC flat bed recovery, which started with a simple flat tyre, the car was never the same again. Fortunately we were just about to give it back but I have heard it has been back 3 times since then and finally formally rejected with Renault-Dacia garage unable to properly fix. My prediction is that hybrids, self charging and PHEVs, will be as much of a unhappy owners as Diesel dis- satisfaction, Dieselgate etc. Be one or other, pure EV or pure ICE. Maybe ICE with free wheeling and cylinder deactivation though. Looking at EREVs but suspect it bus mire of the same but seems to be the latest thing.

Plus I've found that some screenwash additives appear to be incompatible with each other and when mixed produce a jelly like gunk that jams the washer jets.

I clear mine out with a dress-making pin nicked from the memsahib's sewing box. It seems to clog both the jets and the feedpipe inside, usually with rust particles.

It's a standard pasrt across the VW range. IIRC I get mine from www.skoda-parts.com for a few pounds, genuine. Mine seem to block up every few months. Useless.
  43. PLEASE OH PLEASE! Give it the 1200 kg trailer hitch capacity, and the fully flexible rear seat solution from Roomster/Yeti!
  44. It’s often not through choice Andy, circumstances change and folk get a requirement to tow after they’ve bought the vehicle, none of us are clairvoyant 😊 … That’s why there’s an aftermarket option with factory fitted wiring prep. Skoda simply need to get their act together and make it all work like it’s supposed to.
  45. Sounds like a suspension issue, possibly tracking or even incorrect tyre pressure. If it’s only a month old get the dealer to look at it.
