@SashaGrace struggling to think of things which are yet unchanged on your car

Oh there are many things, especially when you add options that Skoda never did :D

10 LITRES OF DRAGON GREEN PAINT, sorry for shouting but I know you like that colour.:)

I wish! I found a DG 280 SportLine Estate with the options I wanted and though yes until I saw the price. £24,000 for a 17 plate example!!! WTF!

If that's a cat scratching post behind it, then very shortly I expect there will be a cat in the box :D

Can confirm cat has been in the box 🤣

A good use of existing space. Only question would be where are the tools for changing the wheel now?

In the boot, in the elastic pouches. Not ideal but works. Would rather have the sub like the CANTON option but this works for now.

How on earth do i remove this clip......

more importantly what the heck was if for?

Holding parking tickets and alike.

To remove it, you need to remove the A-pillar and then I believe there is a single bolt holding it in place :)

I use it almost every time we use car parks with pay & display tickets - it stops the ticket being blown away if it's windy when you have the drivers door open. I think all cars should have them.

Possibly becoming a bit obsolete with our ever increasing march towards contactless and digital ‘everything’. Certainly does come in handy on the odd occasion though.

Sasha, I’d read about the Columbus units being capable of supplying a sub with some mods but haven’t seen any info anywhere as to how.

Is it something that only vcp can do or can it also be done with VCDS? I don’t have either at the moment but would still be interested to know as I’m on the verge of installing the 12” sub and 500w rms Kenwood amp I had in my old car which is most likely going to involve an LC2i tapped off the rear speaker channels but a dedicated sub speaker channel would be an even better option if it offered full head unit control of level and crossover etc?!

Just wanted to publicly thanks Sasha for her help and assistance on getting a reversing camera installed on my Scout.

We also spent time on more coding mods on the Scout.

Worth the trip. Thanks Sasha.

Sasha, I am still on the hunt for an H55 Columbus 9.2" revision screen for my Scout. Ping me a message if you come across one.

Finally added the hardware to complete the 9VD Audi/SEAT Sound System retrofit. This isn’t a config Skoda ever offered and I’m very sure this is unique in an Octy so far. With some VCP magic it’s possible to load the 5 channel EQ and activate sub and centre speaker pins on the Columbus radios so I did it and with the extra speakers added I’m really happy! It’s no custom build and it’s not quite as powerful as the CANTON system (though I also have the cheeky ‘Sound by CANTON’ splash screen 😬 but I’m really happy. YouTube will compress the hell out of this but hopefully you can hear the centre speaker and sub working. That needs time to bed in a bit but I’m happy it’s added some low end for now. I need to adjust the grill a bit as it’s not gone back in quite perfectly but that’s a job for later. For now I’m happy the stereo system finally has some decent punch and all for under £130.

Sasha, do you happen to have the spare wheel foam Insert left over from this?

Needs VCP to load 6c3 data over and then coding to activate the pins. Then you also get 5 channel EQ but an LC2i, amp and sub will always be better.

I do but it’s staying for now as I would prefer a CANTON sub box as the whole thing would be neater that way so I’m keeping it for a bit.

Guess I’m going for an LC2i then! Got my connects 2 harness today so hopefully the weather will play ball tomorrow for my 4 days off so I can start running cables in and get the amp and sub in the boot and fed. Then I’ll just need to add the LC2i later for proper control.

No worries, worth a try. I am just after the foam as I have everything else. Spare is just strapped in boot at the min.

I'll second that. Sasha did some coding for me in the summer.

You did a great job, thanks again Sasha.

Very nice, top job.  Thats was one of the dissapointments for me in the Oct 3 - the standard stereo was poor, even in comparison to my Oct 2

Job well done with those seats!

Can you make a list of parts (modules and harnesses) and codings needed for retrofitting electric seat(s) with memory? At the moment I have standard (manual) half leather seats in '16 O3 (with MIB2 Bolero) and looking to retrofit drivers seat because I am sharing the car with my girlfriend. It's a horror now...

I think I must be copying you because my 2020 Superb SEL is a diesel, has the Virtual Dash (which I'm very pleased with having been sceptical, tells me I'm using 11kw of power cruising on the motorway), Canton sound including the dash speaker and sub in the rear boot compartment but with 12 speakers and 610w it is fantastic, reversing camera (sorry you lost a customer there if I kept the Sportline Plus) but I only have the 8" Amundsen rather than your 9" Columbus and only my driver's seat is electric. Almost forgot it has the electric tailgate like your estate and Black leather seats also which I can't do without now. Realised that having lots of toys in the car reduces the stress levels on my 54 mile daily commute. Keep up the good work and you have more power over our buying habits than perhaps you realise. Subliminal brainwashing I think.

Thanks. You will need some power seats and they will come with the wiring they need to work, you will need the female wiring plug and then connect to the fusebox for power and the BCM for part of the heated loom and CAN on drivers seat.

Really does help, I like a Superb but I just can’t get one with the options I want. What’s cool with the FL Superb’s with dynamic light assist (SE-L and above) is they all have the A5 camera so you can code lane assist on them.

Mine came with the blind spot and lane assist pack plus the Matrix LED headlights are even brighter than the Vrs245 LED headlights from my 2017 model. I think the dynamic scrolling rear indicators look very cool to.

Amazing modifications and a few of like but a practical question before I do anything and with 88 pages sorry if you have answered but how do you get on with insurance? It must be an enormous list to declare so I assume it needs a specialist provider?
