Best compromise I’ve been able to find is adding a TTS solid rear bush to the rear of the front lower arm and a poly to the front. The 034 stuff is solid and well put together.

They were actually introduced for a few reasons not just air quality, which is one element and caused by a variety of factors in that location, including industry, the shopping centre and the sewage works etc. The other reason for their introduction was to reduce dynamic loading on the viaduct during repairs but that rarely gets mentioned as it's inconvenient for National Highways.

Probably right but it does annoy me in places like the motorway near Birmingham and Sheffield when it says reduced speed limits due to pollution when it is the ICE vehicles causing the pollution and not EVs. I think the main developments will be in more EV trucks being on the market and its effects. EV trucks look capable of towing two containers / trailers rather than just the one that ICE trucks can also EV trucks are going to want to pass ICE trucks on inclines due to their superior climbing ability and this could cause a few issues.

EV,s highly unlikely to be given their own NSL,s in the UK while ICE vehicles have different speed limits. Same thing as far as Electric HGV,s.

On my Amundsen 2 you can use either SD port, currently I have the maps in port 2 and music in port 1.

Whilst cars are wonderful items they are much slower than trains in mhst countries. Cars will be abke to get much faster in the next few years by electronically tailgating each other to form, in effect, car trains. By talking to each other at 80, 90, 100, my EVs only can do 95 mph as motor spinning at max 12k revs. They can benefit from drafting, the cars at 2nd 3rd etc in the chain will break at the same time as the front car maintaining the car. Either a further adaption of adaptive cruise control and perhaps best to wirk without a driver. Obviously with different tyres etc they there would need to be margins. On the subject of tyres I was pleasantly surprised at the results of my service last week that my tyres have only worn 1.5 mm on the front and 1mm on the back in 16k miles. Therefore I should see over 30k miles on the front and 45k miles in the back m. They are Michelins and EV spec so only came with about 6mm ! Also incident ongoing at RAF Fairford involving explosives !!!

Again, you might be chasing ghosts, at least on CAYC one will for sure end up with ash mass measurement exceeding limit after enough mileage and regens even if the DPF is empty of ash altogether, it is just a calculation in the ECU that does not take into account DPF pressure measurements at all. Or in other words, if you make a 300 regens and drive 100k km, the calc could be e.g. num regens x 0.1g + num kkm * 0.3g (I pulled numbers out of thin air, just like the calc in your car's ECU) resulting in 60g ash mass "measurement" even if in reality there would be only 15g-20g ash in the DPF at that point. Conversely, if you use poor quality, ash generating oil or if the engine burns a lot of oil, you may find clogged DPF while the ECU's "ash mass measurement" shows 20g or less, as in fact quite a few people have experienced. May I ask why you are chasing after this number? Are there any other issues with the engine to even be looking at ash mass?

Hello everyone, first post, but long time reader! I love my Octavia mk3 facelift, yet find myself yearning for the steering wheel that's in the Superb mk3 facelift. The buttons and feel of scrollers are so much better. Coincidentally, I saw some posts on instragram recently of various versions of this. I wonder if anyone here have experience doing this retrofit? I have a heated steering wheel and don't need any paddle shifters, so I think its "just" the button mapping? I've seen posts swapping between old and new superb steering wheel, but couldn't find any for a superb --> octavia swap. Ideally I would hand this work off to someone who knows what they're doing 😂, but I am not sure where to look. I live in Norway, but could do a trip to Sweden possibly if some shop could do such a conversion. Any norwegians or swedes got some suggestions of where to start looking?

@travs mine feels like new car now. In the end i went back to original bottom arms but also replaced my droplinks on the front. I went for 034 Motorsport dynamic+. Not cheap at £225 for pair, but the built quality and feel of the car is totally worth it 😊

I managed to obtain data from two 2.0-litre engines. 181000km - 55g and 130000km - 47g. The CXXB is now the main suspect.

Not sure what the exact calc for ash loading is, but it involves both number of regens and mileage. What's the mileage on each car/engine? In any case, if there are no signs of restriction in the exhaust (power loss, increased fuel consumption, regen completion issues etc.), the large amount of "accumulated ash mass" is just imaginary, there is far less ash in the DPF in reality. It is just a number / counter in the ECU which by the way can be adapted to a smaller value with VCDS, at least on earlier engines like CAYC. I honestly think that ash number was just put there to cover backside in case of clogged DPFs over the car's life, and also to force replacing DPFs latest at a certain mileage / after certain number of regens or both. The correct way to evaluate amount of ash would be to measure and average pressure loss after completion of each regen and indicate that DPF pressure loss post regen is getting on the high side, but my guess is that given varying temperatures and gas flow, the exhaust sensors used for it are either not accurate or not reliable enough, especially after many years of use / high mileage.

We don't use our Karoq much between trips to the continent. Last time we went in June/July we got the update message virtually every day. There ws never a message to say updated complete. The only odd thing I found was that at some time the settings for the cruise control were changed, causing me some concern, but that was soon corrected. We have just returned from another trip when again we get the message virtually every day, someimes more than once a day. Always accepted but nothing else. Having reset the headlight aim in the Channel Tunnel train, and gone back into settings to ensure the change was actually set, when I came home and tried to set back for UK, it was already on left side running. Whether the 'updates'had reset something in both cases, who knows. We had l Iittle need of headlights apart from tunnels, but I did do two or three ~10 mile trips in the dark and nobody flashed me! I would like to ask my agent but while away I received an email saying that, as of 30th September, ie Wednesday, they are no longer Skoda agents and service is being transferred to a local VW agent. Great! So what to do next? Had an MOT booked but doesn't look like that will be happening!

Bumping old topic but this video extremely useful in having an idea on best way to get door apart and give maximum length of loom to work with. Not a job for the faint of heart or unsure with electrical.

Hi, I've been on Briskoda for just over 4 years but on the Superb forum. Tomorrow I am getting my 2026 Karoq 1.5 TSI SE L Edition delivered. 3 Months old ex demo, so will be on this forum now a lot, to learn about it, and perhaps contribute a bit.
