  1. Past hour
  2. To see ones lit up look at Google Imaged. Key words Fabia MK3 low oil pressure red can. Or low oil level. Plenty weed posted showing on Fabia MK2 vRS threads.
  3. Today
  4. Don't know if it's the same on the Mk4 but a rear wiper was available on the Mk3 hatch?
  5. It probably only illuminates when the level is low (yellow) or the pressure is low (red). Find and unplug the oil pressure switch and go for a drive, you'll soon see a red light methinks. Usually the only sensor on the engine with just one wire going to it. If this is a 1.2 TSI, it's near the top of the engine, rear left, plug goes downward onto it.
  6. My late-2023-built Skoda Fabia Mk4 SE L model (1.0 TSI motor, DSG transmission) apparently does NOT have an active cooling shutter system. The images below show the shutter arrangement (a set of horizontal ‘slats’ moved by a small electric motor) and I'd expect to see this when looking through the air-intake grille in the car’s front bumper. But there’s no sign of it - just a naked radiator. Looking into the engine compartment from the car's front, the only thing that would impact on the airflow is a group of (unpowered) top-hinged plastic flaps on the left of the radiator that air pressure would cause to swing upwards when the car was travelling at higher speeds - but that’s nothing new or revoluionary as my 2009 Skoda Roomster has something similar. It may be that all Fabia Mk4 cars had cooling shutters when the range was first marketed, but this feature was dropped at some later date. Or UK-marketed Mk4s never had them, or UK-marketed Mk4s with the 1.5litre motor have them, but 1.0litre cars do not. As the shutters's stated purpose was to improve aerodynamics and (slightly) reduce fuel consumption, perhaps it was soon decided that the cost and complication of fitting a shutter system could not be justified.
  7. I randomly noticed that my oil light didn't seem to be on the dash when I started up. Couldn't remember where it was, or even it it should light up when you first switch on. Picture below from the short video I made when starting the car. Can someone advise - should there be an oil light at first, and can you post a picture of your mk2 (petrol) starting up? What could the problem be?
  8. Good strategy with twice per year, close to mine because I usually drive 8000km less than 12 months so it is actually twice to change within 12 months! I do the traditional method and filter change always because mine is located in easy spot in both cars.
  9. Work with tpms. Same Hardware in my old O2. Yeti: Wire from Button E226 Connector T6r/5 to ABS(J104) Connector T26a/7(Pin7) Connector T6r/4 = KL15 Connector T6r/6 = KL31 Connector T6r/3 = KL 58d

  11. My O2 have Retrofit tpms and ESC I Hope at night i have time
  12. @chills i didn’t have to anything more than tap the Users icon from the menu, it had guest highlighted and primary dimmed. I touched primary to change the logged on user.
  13. Other way round, probably. VCDS probably picking up part number of just electronic bit, ETKA giving only option of whole lot including hydraulics section. No listing for just electronic bit. I doubt it's a case of ESC or TPMS, it may be simply that ESC versions all automatically include possibility of TPMS, so it's not mentioned. 7K6 means Indirect tire pressure monitoring system, 7K3/4/5 are all direct (pressure sensing) TPMS variants. Your car's data says 7K0 - Without tyre pressure monitor though, possibly only due to lack of button and wiring though. @Cairus is sure to be better able to help, if he can find time.
  14. Likewise. I now have to go through registration to make me primary user!!! Not happy with that as it wants emails and passwords etc. This is a F' up with the recent updates. :-(
  15. I change mine twice a year and only change the filter on the third change because taking that under cover off on the drive is a tricky job if not on a ramp. I use a vacuum pump for oil changes when not changing the oil filter It's so easy.

  18. I'd really appreciate it if you could share them. Tomorrow I'll take apart the entire lock assembly—the two parts that make it up (the one with the physical lock and the controller). Parts from 20 to 25. I got stuck on these screws (part 3V5.827.887.B)
  19. That part number seems strange compared to what my scan found, although I've known vcds give confusing anwers sometimes? I put mine from vcds in a search (1K0 907 379 BJ) and found a site with vcds scans for Skoda Superb 2 with the same ABS part as mine? Is my part number for the complete module assembly and yours 1K0 614 517 DM a new replacement part number, or the part number for the electronics board? vcds describes my ABS coding bit as TPMS/PR-7K6, elsewhere I see TPMS-PR-7K3/7K4/7K5. I remain mystifyed. If my Yeti build prioritised ESC over TPMS either or, I'd rather have TPMS.
  20. @Rbz5416 Bingo - I wasn't Primary User - made myself Primary, sent a route and it came immediately. Not sure how I became a Guest but it was a least 2 months ago! I don't pay much attention to the Welcome Screen - I will do in future, if it doesn't say Welcome Norman then I'm not Primary User.
  21. I recall they did that downgrade on the map, then moved forward. Old map links you may find on this side of the board.
  22. Not sure that's conclusive though, 'cos the units that do mention TPMS seem to only be within the page devoted to Yetis that have ABS without Electronic Stability Control. Yours has ESC.
  23. @Rbz5416 Interesting I'll give that a try. I've assumed I was Primary user. I have recieved another email from VAG Digital Support this Sunday afternoon. Had to send another route to the car, and then send the App logs to Digital Support. There is a hidden feature - shake your phone and a Support Menu pops up and you can send stuff to Digital Support.
  24. AFAIK, Galvanic action is possible whenever any less-noble metal is in contact with a more noble metal.
  25. For your VIN, the ABS control module part number shows as 1K0 614 517 DM No mention of TPMS in its description.
  26. Probably a Combi if fitted with rear wiper.
  27. Not sure as your in barbados. I assume the carriage would be expensive if getting it from Europe etc. Are there any scrapyards/autobreakers on the island or on other islands nearer. Think its your best hope. Did read that magneti marelli are not easy and are either auto or manual so dont have all the software to do both hence why the changes revert. Hope you find a solution. Did find a large car breaker in uk that sends international but whether Barbados?? There called Charles Trent https://www.trents.co.uk/#/ Alasdair
  28. I've done the same. With the engine braking effect I feel more in control.
  29. Recently moved from 2018 Golf GTE Advance (their top spec trim for the GTE) to a 2019 Occy vRS 245 DSG. Very happy with it. Its lighter than the GTE but feels heavier and more.. Grounded, in a good way. Got a couple of things I'm going to miss from the GTE, namely fuel economy but we aren't comparing apples to apples here with these two. Virtual Cockpit, although I had it set on large Rev counter and Speedo 99% of the time so using similar setup but obviously they are real dials now so no great loss. The vRS is a lot better is many more ways so I've no regrets. Don't have to worry about charging at work and paying £3 a day for that and paying for the Premium petrol at tesco's.. Done a few tweaks now, Scandinavian DRL for the rears, stripey leds on with DRL at the front, blower level being shown on auto, turned the hideous sound acktor thing off.. That was hideous, made me feel like I was in a 1990s Scooby and not in a good way... Changed interior lights with drive modes so normal is blue, Eco is green and Sport is red. Paired phone to it, setup so when the phone connects by Bluetooth, the phone fires up a a wifi hotspot which the radio connects to. Totally useless as I use Android Auto via a USB dongle to give it to me via wireless. Also loaded up logo's for the radio stations. No idea why I've got to do this, absolutely inexcusable. Had to chuckle, previous owner pinched the Skoda umbrella.... But left in the spare wheel, a very large Swiss army knife.. Googled it an its the top spec one and worth about £80 so I can find it in my heart to forgive them... 😂 Think thats about all for now. For some reason there isn't a huge amount of info on the 2019 Mk3.5 on youtube, I suspect maybe something to do with the timing and COVID... Don't think I'll get this remapped, I've had several remapped cars before and whilst great fun and I know engine and gearbox can easily handle a stage 1 remap, there is that constant niggle in the back of the mind that something will go wrong due to the map and ultimately, I only really used it and got the benefit from it when pulling away from the lights.. That extra 150kg of battery over the rear axle did not help the handling on the twisties! Also, my insurance has gone up by £250 so don't want it going up even more due to remap. Any thoughts, opinions, idea's greatly received and appreciated.
