Thank you for your help. Last night i tried the car. The road was 2 lane expressive way. My setting was the setting that you mentioned. There was only one lane. Unfortunately i cannot test the car on highways. The nearist highway is 250 km away. So i will be able to see the tesult i have a trip including highway. By the way these are my settings:

Yes, you need the right type of o-ring. No, you shouldn't lose any significant amount of refrigerant when changing the seal/sensor, there's a valve under it that closes as it is removed. PAG oil for lube. If it's the original pressure sensor it could easily be leaking through itself, rather than at the o-ring seal, I suspect.

The all weathers start life with more tread depth.

Hi. Tbe o rings are special rubber so they don't rot. If there is still pressure in the system it will need recovering first. Illegal to deliberately release to the atmosphere. To oil the O ring use the appropriate LAG oil for the system. Going to need a garage with AC equipment. Good luck

My fronts were measured at 4mm and rears at 5 mm, which is more than I expect, but they are Goodyear all-weather, so I suspect a bit of a softer compound. But Mrs says the big difference is the car never aquaplanes when it rains very heavily, which both of our Golfs (Mk7.5 and Mk8) on Bridgestones did. So I'll probably replace them like for like next summer when we get to 20,000 miles or 2.5mm whichever comes first; annoying but I do absolutely love the car and it is heavy, so like the higher road tax, it's an accepted cost of ownership. Your tyre wear, however, does sound concerning, assuming you check pressure regularly and drive it like a Tourer rather than with gusto? Had Pirellis on some of my former warm/hot hatches (XR3, Mini Cooper S) and, as I recall, they did wear more than expected, perhaps more sticky and hence softer, as a performance brand?

Ok. Looks like they've just done an oil change and not cleaned the strainer / filter which needs the pump removing. The latter is not part of thier normal service routine but needs doing and some dealers do it some don't. I'd ask if them whatbtheybdidnre the internal pump strainer / filter when they changed the oil and if they didn't do it either ask them to or take it elsewhere. Also double check with them that they know where the Haldex drain plugs etc are just in case they've drained the diff instead as they are easy to confuse if your not familiar with the car.

I had a new Scala 1.5 dsg Monte Carlo from 2021 before trading it in for a SEL Karoq in 2025. Had seven Skodas since 2004 and the Scala was my favorite by a country mile, comfortable,economical,spacious and a great looking car. Icant think of anything I didnt like about it, probably get another when I change next time.

Have been on a 15000 Km ( 9400 Miles ) summer trip with the car. Have discovered a very annoying and clear exhaust drone in a narrow rev range ( 2950~3350 Rpm. ) The car has a 100% stock Skoda OEM exhaust system. 🤔 Anyone else here at Briskoda who has or had similar exhaust drone on their Octavia-II FL 1.8 TSI / 2.0 TSI equipped car ? 🤔 .

I have a leak at the pressure sensor I believe it must be the O ring seal. My question is, are the O ring seals special as they are VERY expensive for an O ring, can I fit an ordinary EPDM O ring. Am I right in thinking the pressure sensor can be removed without losing any remaining gas? Also what sort of lube do I use on the O ring when installing it?

I filled the tank and managed to get 58 litres in on the first click. So if the 4x4 tank holds 65 litres, that means the trip computer and fuel gauge is definitely still over reading by some margin. I had the RHS pump out the other day but when I saw the extra pipework disappearing off to the 2nd off take I admitted defeat and put it all back without any further tinkering. I have a service coming up so I might just get the readers replaced at the same time….

Refuelling time. I couldn’t remember if I reset the trip when I last filled up, but the car was showing 160 miles left in the tank, and the refuelling quantity was showing 35 litres.

They look good. I had the boot and rear quarter windows tinted earlier this week, on top of the existing factory tint. I would have have considered those but not heard of them before.

The two black wires are the speaker connections... Probably old 2 pin DIN connectors from memory and the beige one will be permanent live, ignition switched live and earth. If you have access to a multimeter simply probe the three contacts on the white connector to work out which is which and wire up accordingly. Your new radio may have an ISO connector where all power wires are in a single black socket and speakers in a brown one, or all in one large black one, but you should be able to get a plug with wire tails already fitted. Hi all. Had a quick search of the forum and can't see anything related. We are getting an odd sort of booming noise when pulling away with lock on from the rear of our 2020 karoq 2.0tsi 4x4. It's done it since we bought it last year on just over 40,000 miles. The selling dealership, group 1 Skoda Maidstone said they would service the haldex system as part of the sale and I have an email with the work stating it's been carried out. I assume this noise would be coming from the haldex as I've never heard it in any other car, this is the first car we have owned with such a system. I've read it could be binding. Does anyone else get this noise, or has anyone had this noise and had it investigated? I wouldn't say it's got any worse over the time we've owned the car. Thanks. Adrian.
