  2. The first time I saw a "Maxi Countryman" there was a Vauxhall Omega hiding behind it!!
  3. I saw a Renegade (Doh! ) the other day. I always think of them as big yankee iron, but I swear it was smaller than the BMini Countryman in front of it 🤷‍♂️ Thanks for alleviating my misery 😁 G
  4. You would think it is their money. All they need to do is arrange the inspection and send the photos to Skoda UK. At this point your dealer has straight up lied to your face to save 10 minutes work.

    erm?
  6. Cross Climate 3s fitted to the rims yesterday morning and I put them on the car in the afternoon. Early impressions are good. Looking forward to winter 😀
  7. I am now confident that the dealer didn't contact Skoda UK. When I contacted Skoda UK they set up a case number and emailed Caffyns to arrange an inspection. They asked me if Caffyns had been in contact with me which they hadn't so Skoda UK emailed again and, again, Caffyns didn't contact me. The agent then tried ringing Caffyns but their numerous calls went unanswered and the only time they did answer they cut them off. They have now escalated it. I am still fully prepared for a drawn out argument with Skoda but so far they have kept me updated on a daily basis and are getting punchy with the useless local dealership.
  8. The irony in insisting that you report the corrosion "immediately", and then the stand-off with customer, the dealer, Skoda UK and the Motor Ombudsman then proceeds to last 3-4 years.
  9. Today
  10. good start then!
  11. When I was looking into it, I did find that even oil services include a body inspection, but it isn't there for the purposes of the body protection warranty and it isn't a requirement in order to make a claim. The extended scope servicing provides nothing that would materially change the situation, as it is all related to the mechanical parts of the car.
  12. Ok well seeing as no-one seems to be guessing any longer I'll put @Gaz out of his misery... Its a Jeep Renegade Longitude in flat white...
  13. Do you have anything in writing? If you don't, you don't even know the dealer submitted the claim to Skoda UK. The classic wait a couple of days and then call the customer back to say it has been declined trick, don't fall for that one.
  14. I tried Audi style dimming tailgate lights when indicators are on. I reverted changes but animation was lost and I can't get it back. At the moment I turned it completely off so it doesn't annoy me 😂. Odb 11 will be a fix once I get it. Apart from that Car Scanner is quite good tool for some adaptations but deeper coding like lane assist or matrix headlights its a no-no for it.
  15. I'm not 100%sure but I think the right hand one stopped working and the left one could take a certain amount of the weight but not the full weight. I know this because if i lift it helping it would go up.
  16. Yeah didn’t think bout that but it’s really very simple. You have to pop off a small piece of trim at the rear of the side window. Undo the 2 plug clips. Will be obvious which ones. Then follow the strut rubber sleeve and pull out of the bodywork. To remove the actually strut it’s held on by 3 retaining staples that you lever up but not off. This releases the socket off the ball on the car. Am sure there must be a video somewhere. If it helped Skoda local dealer wanted about 440 quid for the job. All in was about 20 mins and 50 quid on eBay
  17. Nice evening one from our hotel in Menorca...
  18. I can’t help with this issue directly I’m afraid. But I use carscanner too and have found the coding history to be a bit hit and miss. A good tip is to take screen shots of the standard code before changing anything then you have a record of what it was when you started. What were you trying to code originally that lost the animation?
  19. Is there any advice on upgrading?

  28. Thanks for updating us... Yes, the Scalas are nice too. Kinda flew under my radar for the longest time, but they've come to my attention lately... Good choice.

  30. Hi All! Recently after some of coding sessions with Car Scanner on my Superb mk3 2020 2.0 TSI SEL I lost animation / swipe away on my tailgate lights when car is unlocked. When I lock it, it swipes away correctly, indicators are dynamic when used (hazard on, locking/unlocking or indicating)... First things first - I reverted changes in coding history but it changed nothing. I then started to adjust settings in Lightning adaptations. Sometimes it was causing animation to disappear completely, lights were constantly on or it would cause flickering so I gave up. My last set is in the screenshot. I also changed dimming value to 100 in case car will not accept 127. It did not work. Anyone had similar issue and got it sorted using Car Scanner? I am trying to get someone with obd11 or vscd to help me as I know its so much easier to get it right with text adaptations. Many thanks!
  31. Greetings, I tried these sound settings one by one with Obdeleven on my 2022 škoda Octavia A8, but unfortunately nothing changed.
