  2. My 2009 MKII Octavia VRS TDI (engine code CEGA) has had an intermittent issue with the crankshaft sensor for the last few months. The issues are that when I try and start the car it will Kick into life before stalling with the battery light coming on. If I do get the car running then it will seemingly randomly do it as it’s driving. Alongside this the glow plug will Flash and the check engine light comes on (although these don’t happen every time). All Which reset with a key cycle. You can also feel and see the cars revs dropping just before the car cuts out and stalls. When reading the error codes on an OBDII reader I get the following error codes: P0322 - ignition/distributer engine speed input circuit no signal P0321 - ignition/ distributor engine speed circuit range/perfomance So far I have had the crankshaft sensor replaced (with an OEM sensor) and had the wiring loom inspected and replaced. To make the issue more annoying after having the wiring replaced the car ran fine for over 500miles before coming back Alongside this I have a cluster of lights out on the dash, on the speedometer from 70mph onwards the lights don’t turn on. Which i’m unsure if it’s related to the issue or not. Anyone have any ideas of what the best next step would be
  3. Here it is what I read on My system! I’ll try to fit at pen as ex-fat and 4096 byte allocation, but hope it won’t solve the update! Pressing the 3 dots in lower corner doesn’t show the update as @Tell said! I don’t think it may depend on the firmware version!
  4. Last Sunday, on my 22 Karoq FL with this retrofit done I noticed pressure on tires was a 0,1/0,2 lower than the standard value: I pumped them and everything seemed all right. However on the Skoda App I read 3 wheels on 4 has lower pressure and the day after 2 had a very low pressure. Yesterday I went to the tire shop since I believe his pump is more accurate than mine but while going to the mechanic I saw a strange messagge on the infotainment: "System not active"; connecting the diagnosis the message I got back was "system turned off", how can I turn it on again? I don't believe it may depends on the fact I changed from Amundsen to Columbus as I migrate all the coding/adaptations from old system to the new one; furthermore in the they after migrating the system and restoring all the FECs, I was able to read the values! Any idea/suggestions? For a while I thought pressures were too low, but they weren't! I also checked with the antenna who enable the sensors but they were all working!
  5. My 2021 L&K iV has been written off as a buffoon in a van decided that he'd like to rearrange the front end of my car. Super annoyed as this car was pretty special with all the options on it. I'm now looking at an Enyaq Vrs to replace it.
  6. Sorry I think I forgot to tell you I managed to take it out. Here is a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpmsGljcPj4

  10. i had bad timing noise from engine after bad timing belt change. on 2.0 TDI 2011.
  11. Not sure on your engine but on my 1.9tdi when changing belt there are bolts in cam pulley with slightly oval holes that I had to loosen and adjust slightly to get timing spot on. If yours is the same they might have come loose and timing is changing slightly. Reckon the only option is to as said get in touch with dealer and explain etc. and have them check the work they did. The fact that the noises etc started after belt change may be pure coincidence but get them to check it out. I would be wary of driving it until its checked and noise has been diagnosed. Alasdair

  14. Hello. I have the same issue on my Skoda Fabia. I'm looking for the file on mibsolution.one but it still offline. Does anyone have a link to the MEN2_EU_SKGPX_P9160L (8742) file ?

  16. The below description is the exact same problem i'am facing also, would be nice to hear is some have this problem. fixed. So, had the SOS module error and had a time at my local dealership to fix yeserday, they told me they updated the software and now it worked - great. But my app since then refused to connect to update, status was stuck in "Standby". I had issues with connectivity before where i pulled fuse 19 for a min or to, then re-inserted and the LTE modem reloaded, tried that first although it had connectivity according to the status icon on the infotainment - of course didnt work, proceeded to try to reset my whole infotainment, saw a few ppl online had luck with that - well, lets just say now its all messed up 😄 It wont allow me to sign in to my Skoda account from the car, so im stuck in guest mode - it generates all the QR codes, but then im met with this, when trying to sign-in: App wont update, and i cant sign into my account in the car since SOS module software fix : r/enyaq
  17. Not sure if the newer Octavias are the same but on the Mk2 there was a top Engine mount with stretch bolts by the timing belt on top that were readily accessible and also a lower bolt on the same side accessible from the wheelarch. We found on one occasion after the cambelt was changed that the lower bolt hadn't been tightened up properly, had worked loose and was allowing some movement and a rattling / clacking noise. Tightening it properly fixed the issue so it might be worth a quick check of that??
  18. Thanks for the info guys. Seems like the Skoda official figure of 40 MPG isn't far off the mark . I think that's an MPG I can live with given the power on tap.
  19. Collect my estate this morning Already got wheels and suspension lined up, but would like to do a few more bits to it I have the 1.5 TSi 150bhp Manual FWD I’m looking at a remap by a local tuner who’s very good with VAG stuff Debating an intake, possibly the MST kit as it’s the most enclosed system But not sure what to do about the exhaust on it Wasn’t sure if a resonator delete would gain much sound Or would I need a custom exhaust somewhere I don’t mind if the exhaust tips aren’t visible But I don’t want anything that sounds rubbish Tried to do as much research as possible but struggling to find the info I need Any help would be amazing! Especially with photos

  23. KinderBean's DPF regen point is worth ruling out first, since that can come and go exactly like you describe. But because the noises started after the belt job, I'd go back to the dealer before anything else. On this engine the belt change means taking the engine mount off on the timing side. Those mount bolts are stretch bolts that should be renewed and torqued, and a mount, bracket or heat shield that hasn't gone back quite right is a classic cause of a rattle that comes and goes, and of a clunk when you blip the throttle while stationary. What I'd do: Ask the dealer for the invoice line by line and check it shows new engine mount bolts, not just the belt kit and water pump. Take it back as a post-repair concern (not a new job) and ask them to check the engine mount and bracket, the auxiliary belt and tensioner, the belt covers and any heat shields near the turbo and exhaust. Take your videos with you. The fact it was quiet before and only started after the work is the useful bit. If they find everything tight and it lines up with regens, at least you'll know. I wouldn't jump to the DMF yet when the timing of it points at the belt job.

  26. I doubt you will resolve these by updating infotainment alone. They were known to separate issues requiring fw updates for front camera and SOS module.
  27. A couple of earlier BRISKODA forum links relating to the spare-wheel/tool-kit for Fabia Mk4 models. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/522682-spare-wheel-and-central-tool-holder/ https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/533394-fabia-spare-wheel/ The image below shows a spare-wheel and the correct tool-kit for a Fabia Mk4 installed in the spare-wheel well. From the "Tyres engineered in Germany" marking I think the tyre is a Continental product and, based on the space between the tyre's tread and the inner wall of the wheel-well, it's probably a 185/65 R15 tyre fitted to a 15"-diameter wheel (ie. the wheel/tyre size of the Skoda spare-wheel option). This is the wheel/tyre size of the spare-wheel of my Mk4 and (as I mentioned above) when it is fitted into the wheel-well, part of the tyre goes beneath the plastic trim where I've red-marked the image. Realistically, the only way to know if this might present a problem putting a 16"-diameter wheel with a 195/55 tyre into the wheel-well would be to try doing it.

  30. Just over two years on mine! Car new in Oct 24 and just started getting the 'Replace key battery warning' . Car not used frequently (I'm retired) , just two to three times a week. Already had Panasonic CR2032 spare batteries, replaced the one in my key , I guess the other key (which hardly gets used) will need replacing soon. Tried using the key blade to open the key as described in the manual but couldn't get it to work. Found post on here showing exactly how to use small flat bladed screwdriver to release cover easily!
  31. I think it was optional. I’ve only seen it listed on adverts for l&k models.
  32. Ahh maybe they don't ship it in UK? I'm not talking about the Webasto or Eberspacher ones, but about the electric heater of the small coolant radiator above the pedals. I think it's also called PTC or auxiliary air heater.
  33. I don’t think I have it 😔
  34. I can't comment on the DMF as my DXRB DSG is only about a year old but there were times when it used to sound like a transit on the same road and under the same engine load and I figured out it was due to the phase of DFP re-generation that was going on. In my case, that is the clack, and the aux belts are the chirp
  35. @Cqrmine if you read the handbook most of your queries are explained there. Page 23.
