What have you done to your Superb III today?
You will keep the original coilpacks as spares, right? Seems wrong to throw away functional items.

Most comfortable option?
I'm thinking about a new or nearly new Karoq 1.5 and would like to make sure I get the best ride comfort available. Would this be with an SE l or the Sportline with DCC on its softest setting? Any comparisons or comments on either model would be appreciated

Bit moist today, but changed the PCV valve as the original one had a blow on it. Whilst I was there and had two coil packs out I figured I may as well replace them all as they're the original ones from 2018 and the plugs at the same time as I think they were last done 30-40k ago. Aftermarket coil packs as they were cheaper than OEM and being red they'll easily add 10hp each 😂

Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
Hi folks, I have a 2016 Skoda Octavia with Amundsen MIB2: Device part number: 5Q0035874A Hardware: H25 Software: 0245 Current software: MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0245T Does anyone have the correct MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0253T firmware? And is that the route I should go down? Or is there an extra/different process that would get me something more up to date? I have an Android phone, so it would be handy to get it to the point where it could do Android Auto. Many thanks! Adam

How to fix this
As above.. it's telling you that the seat backrest isn't locked into position properly so have another go with a bit more force

Changing spark plugs - silicone paste
Ahh sorry I missed that part, I thought that he is about to grease the spark plug threads 🙂

Changing spark plugs - silicone paste
It is the coils getting greased to make removing easier.

Unleashing the Power of OBDeleven: A Must-Have for SKODA Owners
Just to add to this, albeit my knowledge is minimal, I've used Car Scanner and Carista quite happily to change settings using a basic ELMe27 dongle on my 2018 Kodiaq but it won't do the same on a 2017 Citigo. Which seems strange but there you go.

How to fix this
On my Mk 2, this used to happen if I didn't really "whack" the seat backrest home. Try releasing it again and whack it hard against the stop when you put it back.....

Wouldn’t greasing the threads mess up the torque? I’ve been learned that the torque is different on lubed and dry threads.

Considering a Sportline
Sorry, I was wrong. Varioflex rear seats are listed under 'extra equipment'. When I was looking at 23 & 73 reg Karoq SEL some had Varioflex rear seats & some didn't. My car also has a full sized spare wheel that lifts the boot floor. This means that when the rear seats are tipped forward the revealed extra floor space is lower than the boot.

My August 2024 registered Karoq SEL has Varioflex rear seats & the digital spec sheet shows they were part of the standard spec.

Skoda Connect services
Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure if yours is thesame issue as mine, but as soon as I got back to the UK mine connected and worked again and has done everything since. After further investigation it turns out that France have aggressively been switching off 2g (and possibly 3g) and that's why mine didn't work as being a 2018 model it relies on these older data connections and can't be upgraded. So at some point in the UK when they switch off older 2/3g it will lose this functionality. Hope you get yours sorted, maybe it's a software update they have to apply.

- Looking for working links for 1668 → 1762 → 1896 upgrade path.
Hi, I have an Octavia IV with 5E3035816B, H56, currently on MOI3_EU_SK_R6680L / 1668. I need the intermediate package SK20220307SEQSW96 for the 1668 → 1762 → 1896 upgrade path. Could anyone please send me a working download link by PM? Thanks!Vault1965 started following Looking for working links for 1668 → 1762 → 1896 upgrade path.- Warning, ⚠️ Only leave vehicle in position P.
I have the same leave only in P warning. It’s been coming on for around 9 months now every time we start the car. I’ve lifted the cover to see what type of aftermarket micro switch sensor I need and I can see the yellow tab, but the rest is covered by this foam, which I’ve never seen on any other videos or photos on this his forum or YouTube. It seems well and truely embedded. Is this something that can safely be ripped out and put back in? Also based on these images, is anyone here able to confirm the aftermarket sensor type. I appreciate any help/guidance on thisteh_raab started following Warning, ⚠️ Only leave vehicle in position P.- Question Related Instrument Cluster/Trip Computer
I saw multiple lanes on my display while driving up the A1 earlier this week, the first time since I got the car 18mths ago. It was a two lane road, I was in the inside lane using ACC set at 70mph. Multiple cars passed me in the outside lane, no indication of multiple lanes or cars in the display when they passed. When I approached a car doing about 60mph in the outside lane much to my surprise a second lane showed up in the display with a car icon in it. My car automatically slowed to match the speed of the car in the outside lane obviously complying with the no undertaking rule. The second lane indicator went away when the car pulled into the inside lane and it didn’t come back when I then changed lanes and passed the car…Vault1965 joined the community- Rapid 1.2 tsi 81kw, Monte Carlo-power upgrade

I had a similar thing happened to me I was suffering in the car looking at a faulty speaker in the center console with the ignition on driver's door wide open no seat belt on and being told I must have knocked it into drive and off when the vehicle I mean discussions with Skoda UK as this is a safety concern if the door is already open handbrake does not stay engaged if the door is shut and you open the door it engages the handbrake I am waiting on to see what Skoda UK have to say about this problem being told by the dealer but the vehicle will move off if the door is openSteve900 started following Unintended vehicle movement causing collision- Question Related Instrument Cluster/Trip Computer
Well, a nice dry trip both ways. Sadly no change on my screen still only showed One lane on both the m4 and M5 outbound. The return journey was via the A40 and M4 both only showed One lane. My Superb is a June 2025 build and on the older hardware/software. This must be the issue 🤷♂️- Average cost to replace brake pads and discs?
Don't you have to tell the car that they've been replaced? Also you need to know what you're doing for a start. I wouldn't have a clue what to do, so leave things alone! If you aren't trained to do it or know what you're doing leave it alone, otherwise you could either kill yourself or someone else as it's brakes or give yourself a bigger bill.- Unleashing the Power of OBDeleven: A Must-Have for SKODA Owners
Allegedly there are only 2 brands authorised by VW group for newer vehicles. There are VCDS OBD11 3 As it’s only their new devices that can change more than the basic settings on cars 2 years old and newer (generalisation here of course ) If your car is new is with the latest software version, you’ll need to cough up the bucks. I’ have been looking at these off and on for 19 months (before I bought the Superb). Still haven’t made the decision (I’m not likely to be fit enough to do stuff myself for a few months yet tbo)Steve900 joined the community- Changing spark plugs - silicone paste
Can anyone explain this entry in the workshop manual? Am I safe to say the torque setting for the spark plugs is 28Nm? I don't know what the rest of the text is referring to. It doesn't appear anywhere else in the manual. - Looking for working links for 1668 → 1762 → 1896 upgrade path.
