Lower seats
I suggest test driving a Sportline as the seats have very good side support. I’d go as far as saying they are one of the most comfortable seats I’ve had in 55 years of car ownership ( I may of course previously owned rubbish cars I suppose). The seats in my previous VW Touran also had good side support, and they would probably fit the runners too - plenty available in the breakers, R Line Tiguan seats might be another option.

Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo 1.2 TSI CBZB - Alternator belt tensioner replacement and Water pump recommendations
it was, but not any more. go for INA, Gates ... In the original OE (Original Equipment) box under the catalog number 03C145299Q, there is an automatic tensioner (spanner) which for the Volkswagen Group (VAG) first installation is usually produced by Gates or Litens (which closely cooperates with the INA / Schaeffler groups). this pump on photo is produced by NIDEC GPM, Germany producer for OE VAG engines.. now produced in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, China.

2008 Roomster - Scrubbing noise (Help please)
@jim-mapps Re it being an Auto. Is it a Tiptronic? Has it ever had the box serviced with an oil change? Even though VW / Skoda never gave them as Schedule, Recommendation or advice on Oil Changes.

Thanks. The noise definitely comes from the front though and all tyres wear evenly. It's very strange. One to think on thought, cheers.

messed with fusses
If the car wont turn over or start check fuse 49. Its the small brown one just above relay marked 645 at bottom of picture. Its the clutch switch fuse so if its blown car wont turn over but dash etc will come on. Alasdair

Lower seats
I do not find the current seat setup uncomfortable, but I think one click below the current lowest setting might make the ride feel a bit smoother as we would feel the side to side rocking or sway/body roll less.

Oil temp while towing - help please
No. I didn't realise how critical it appears to be. Though with the upgrade radiators, and twin fan figured it should have coped with what is essentially way below it's stated capacity.

Lower seats
Id suggest setting your seat up using a physio guide such as the one linked on the page below. https://www.physiomed.co.uk/simple-movements-improve-lifelong-energy#video-with-guide-18 A low seat can restrict visibility and cause aches and pains in different ways other than your knees. Physically you're generally better sitting higher but slightly reclined and legs not straight out.

EML - P03AA00 - ECU Update or sensor?
Has anyone had the issue with EML coming on with code P03AA00 - Cylinder 3 Pressure Sensor Citcuit Range/Performance? I've had a look online and it says a ECU update fixes this issue as Skoda/VAG released a TSB to address this issue by updating the ECU to version 1825 (im currently on version 0780). Anyone have any ideas about this or had this issue? 2021 Skoda Kodiaq 2.0TDI 200bhp DTUA engine code.

harmonic humming at motorway speeds
Worth a close look at the rear tyres, especially inner wall edge. Estates are very prone to camber issues causing sawtoothing/feathering and noise. I had this a while ago and a 4 wheel alignment sorted the issue. Tend to run the tyres at a slightly higher pressure as well, I'm using Crossclimates on my 4x4 Estate. Could be something else but worth checking the basics.

Lower seats
I have the seat at its a lowest as I don't like a driving position like a bus driver. I need my knees straighter otherwise they ache on longer drives. I'm 5'11". The rear passenger room is praised in many Karoq reviews but it seems to rely on the driver having the seat higher & towards the steering wheel. If I have a comfortable driving position rear legroom is less than in my previous Seat Leon.

Rear light bulbs
Does anyone know how to gain access to the reversing light on the tailgate? Dont have reversing cameras on mine. At night cannot line up the tail quickly when backing into my unlit drive; especially bad in rain with fogged and wet windows and side mirrors. An upgraded LED bulb would boost visibility way better.

2025 Skoda Superb Navigation Update
This is the screenshot which says there is no map for my car. What is interesting is that i owned the prior Superb(mk 3) and i always could download updates from update portal and easily updated navigation. But, i controlled again with my old car's vin and now portal says that there is no map for old car too. That is to say, i did not come across a message like this until now and i updated for three years during my ownership. When i had entered the vin, portal showed maps which is appropriate for my car. How can i solve this problem?

Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
Officially, you cannot skip firmware versions—for instance, going from FW03xx to FW04xx. Unofficially, it is possible, but the device must be patched. While navigation units can be patched via SD card, non-navigation units must be opened up and connected directly to the eMMC to install the Toolbox (using a virtual QNX machine, for example). I am referring to MIB2 Std units.

Constant creaking / rattling from the doors of my Kodiaq Mk2
I have the same problem and lubricating the top door seals with Liqui Moly or AutoGlym rubber care makes the problem go away but only temporarily. Noise stops if I crack the window open even the tiniest amount of. If I stand outside the car and push on the top of the window frame it creaks very badly so I am assuming this is the issue. So @Marcinek do you know which way they adjusted the striker?

Wrong suspension springs -help
It'll be interesting to see what the cause of the DTCs is - @travs was fairly rigorous with the mallet, but I will be suprised if one glancing blow onto the dust shield or knuckle would knacker an ABS sensor. In all fairness, it was a joke of a day. Absolutely nothing played ball, and everything required three hands and a lot of "well, what if we...". Knackering the thread was disappointing, but by 10pm I think we were both pretty tired. Certainly, it's been the worst day of ratcheting since getting the BMW stuck in neutral after triggering an airbag failure the day before a fourteen-hour drive. I don't understand why VW would fit external corrosion-prone components with small triple square fixings - absolutely useless. Bear in mind, too, that the car isn't exactly old, or that high mileage. Sure, we aren't mechanics, but with decent capability and the correct tools, it should have taken less than four hours to do two rear droplinks. Quite why one side required the weight of the car to push the bushing in, while the other just popped in, we shall never know. Oh, and for those wondering - yes, you can drive a mile or two with the locking wheel bolt key fitted to the wheel ;)

Range Rover Velar D300 V6 to Superb L&K - Guidance, Advice and Opinions
Evening folks. Suspension, ride and handling tonight. I think this is an interesting discovery. DCC+ is amazing! Even on the 19" rims which, with the larger rim and consequently thinner tyre sidewall, the dynamic suspension does a great job. It's standard with L&K trim, optional with SE-L, and not an option with SE Technology. Unsure whether it is standard or optional with Sport trim. Whatever, make sure you choose it because it is excellent. Here's the thing, our Velar had air suspension but sat on 21" rims. Plus she was heavier and had a much higher centre of gravity, being an SUV. In comfort mode the Velar could waft along, just. She did suffer from some slightly weird lateral wobble, something other Velar owners have mentioned. And, because of her weight and SUV bodystyle, Land Rover had to stiffen the suspension to stop it wallowing in bends. The Superb can waft and, in many ways, wafts better than our Velar despite not having air suspension. This shouldn't be possible but it is. With DCC+ set to the extreme softest setting. Around town or on roads where there is absolutely no requirement to press on, this setting is a proper substitute for air suspension but without all the complexity of a compressor and inflatable rubber on each corner. There's just one issue, and it is a big one. I have found that the Superb displays a tendency to understeer if you enter a bend too fast. In this 'waft setting' the understeer is much more pronounced. American Cadillacs from the 1970s spring to mind! In town it's a real boon. Road imperfections are ironed out well. It's a really nice setting. And there is no discernible noise from those rear shocks. Not yet anyway. Maybe Skoda has resolved the issue with the early cars? Meanwhile, we have the other extreme. And this surprised me too. Driving south from Edinburgh along the twisty but rewarding A7, the preconfigured Sport mode was decent, sure footed but not exactly engaging. It made the car competent on what is a pretty challenging road. Ride comfort is still more than acceptable even in this mode. But tonight I selected the most stiff of DCC+ settings and, although I didn't have much opportunity to test it, I think we may have something here! Yes, the ride is is more raw, you sense surface imperfections, coarse road dressing, plus anything that is not tied down begins vibrating - but honestly, that's not much unlike the Mercedes SLC200 we own. It's always a trade off between ride comfort and handling. In this setting the car is much more responsive to steering input, the understeer seems tamed and....I fear I may be speaking too soon....the car is entertaining and engaging to drive. If you can accept the raw ride you get to enjoy the handling. Who would have thought it possible to enjoy such a setting on a Skoda Superb Estate! I said to Mrs A this evening that the car is really very impressive but, looking at it as a passing motorist, you would never guess. A wolf in sheep's clothing? More generally, the ride comfort on the optional 19" Veritate rims is fine, but then it depends what you've been driving recently - our SLC200 is not the last word in ride comfort on broken surfaces. Some folk have spoken about cabin noise when I have watched YouTube reviews of the Superb. It's road surface tyre noise, not wind buffeting etc. The acoustic glass does a good job at creating a hushed cabin but, on those coarse road surfaces the increased tyre noise is noticeable. Not an issue, but noticeable. This is where Audi. Mercedes and BMW earn their corn. More sound deadening felt insulation and thicker carpets. This is one of the areas where the premium brands try and create the gap. I just think that Skoda hasn't stuffed so much sound insulation around the cabin and, to my eyes, the carpet looks a bit thin and the pile (if you can call it that) seems short and cheap. We have mats on mats (rubber atop carpet mats) which helps a little. On a smooth road surface the tyre noise is almost non-existent and the acoustic glass keeps the wind noise hushed. She has a good drag coefficient so she's no slab of an SUV trying to force its way through the air. All good. But the M20 between Maidstone and Folkestone? The southern section of the M25? Those concrete motorways will be noisy! Smooth, Swiss tarmac? Perfect! Part of the issue here is our choice of the 19" optional rims. The DCC+ can mitigate the issues with ride comfort but it cannot silence the road roar, slight exaggeration there! It will be interesting to sense the difference when the car shifts to her 17" winter rims, these being ordered yesterday from the Czech Republic and now being shipped across Europe by FedEx. The UK importer shows them in the brochure as an accessory but they don't sell them here! I will review skodaparts.com when everything eventually is delivered. In conclusion then, I am really happy with the ride comfort delivered by DCC+ and would highly recommend it. The understeer that comes with the Superb having the engine positioned so far forward isn't great but it is at the margins since we, and I am guessing most other Superb owners, are not wanting to drive like an F1 driver? And those extreme settings at the end of the DCC+ spectrum creates a wonderfully smooth ride, or alternatively an engaging one (just!). So far then, the car is excellent. Best wishes.
