  2. Thanks for checking,Rbz5416 . I was getting a bit paranoid that mine was missing this .
  3. It happened again! Luckily a direct email to [email protected] seems to have done the trick this time. Looks like they were able to do something their end to resolve it remotely. A little bit frustrating if this is going to happen frequently. But if anyone else comes across this issue, try emailing the team above first.

  5. Do we know whether these need the Skoda / Audi navigation FeCs added. Ie. Like 450 where it was targeted at specific brands for whatever reason. Europe we can't check this by installation easily. @viper42 may know. I never found the package file that gave the game away in 470 that it was universal. There are a few first lines in the metafile which do say which brands... Will look when up. Could be extra work for some RoW Seat / Cupra folk to get it working otherwise in RoW same as we did for 450. Think I can see what you mean by the file name... started to download. Will have a look. Is it really 2026-27 or 2027... two digits missing off. Have a look at the title inside to throw lights on that and the meta file on target. Await Vipers examination of the package for the FeCs that which I did not find for looking before. (English expression... for cant find it)
  6. I saw that too but my SEL Edition doesn't show any lights, only service related items. A cursory look at the menus didn't show any obvious way to turn it on. But given how poor the menu structure is & the lack of documentation, it could be hiding anywhere. @Berisford reported seeing it in October '24 on what I believe was a '24 SEL & @pinkpanther confirmed it on a '23 SEL.
  7. Well, they are beginning that move.
  8. I'll be glad when they foxtrot oscar.
  9. @Breezy_Pete they are doing local flying training sorties only.

  11. Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate that at some point I'll have to replace the tyre but that's cheaper than a whole new wheel at least. The tyre is actually in pretty good condition; it's been out of its dry UV light free underfloor boot space for about three seperate days over the last ten years so looks quite new, but yes, the rubber will have degraded a little... but I'll keep an eye on it and keep to the reduced speed (50) when it's in use (hopefully rarely) Thanks again.
  12. added 453 ROW 2026-2027 to head post, look for a funny joke in filename
  13. 3 of these passed low over me at about 5pm yesterday. Landing approach, a few minutes apart. Apologies for offtopicness. I'm sure these wars will be helping countries to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. There, I feel better now.
  14. The T&c,s of the warranty on paint 3 years or corrosion 12 years does not say anything on annual, bi-annual or periodic inspections required. But Skoda Servicing details 'body inspections' as part of servicing and Skoda / VW UK knows exactly which Dealerships employees are not carrying out body inspections while doing oil and inspection services or extended scope or minor and major services as they were up to 2019/ 20. Techs / fitters sign off a service, workshop managers or service managers and dealer principals know if there dealerships do Body Inspections during a service.
  15. @cwt did you lift the bonnet and check that the oil filler cap was on? Had you checked the oil level and coolant level when collecting car and before leaving with it. Maybe just the drain plug not renewed or washer when serviced or plug cross threaded.
  16. Hi, can anyone tell me if, on a pre-wired Octavia RS Combi, I just need to plug the 5E3055202B wiring harness into the trunk? Or do I also need to run a cable through the interior of the car?
  17. Torque Pro is also very good. Can’t do the customization that Carista will allow but it does do live data logging for fault hunting

  19. I didn't want to start a new thread just to answer a question, but i can't find any answers on the forum. I've done the SAI delete,N249/N112 and evap system mods as outlined in the 'Skoda guides' section. I have a resistor on the N112 lead, and another for the SAI pump. I was advised to just leave the N249 plugged, to avoid misfires, etc. I get the P0411 code every few days, which I can live with, but it got me thinking. Will the car fail the MOT on emissions due to these deletes? All the info suggests having a catch can and re-routing some of the hoses is actually cleaner all round. No-one has brought up MOT's in relation to these deletes; and it seems doing the deletes is really common. Has anyone had emissions fails at MOT since doing the deletes? And how did folks get around the MOT as a result? Thanks
  20. glad I looked at this post- I'm getting my turbo looked at later this week and although the guy is a vw/ 1.8T specialist, I'd be surprised if he's aware of this difference across engine models (mine's an AUQ too and there's an oil leak on my turbo..somewhere...)

  22. I'm not so sure about that; I think Trump has given up and is claiming victory. It would seem that the B1 Lancers currently based at Fairford are all going back home, and lots of cargo planes have been arriving to take home the support systems that is needed to keep the aircraft operational; also, a 747 has arrived or is arriving to take home loads of support. staff.

  24. OBD 11 or Carista. I don't know if VCDS Lite is still available. Or if you're looking for full compatibility then a genuine VCDS cable. And welcome to Briskoda 👋
  25. Bonjour quelqu'un peut me dire si sur Octavia RS combi precablé, je dois juste brancher le faisceau 5E3055202B dans le coffre? Ou y a t'il un câble a passer a l'intérieur de la voiture aussi ?

  30. Hello Looking for some advice or suggestions on if anyone has upgraded their radio with a touchscreen single din option while retaining the storage cubby. Options for this type of radio are limited so wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I’ll attach photos below of what iv found. Options seem to be touch screen single din’s with a small screen (which I don’t mind) or a larger flip out screen. Trying to get something that’s decent but not completely breaking the bank. Any suggestions or experience with this upgrade would be appreciated Thanks. *removed part circled red retained part circled green.
  31. The result of the Gridserve charge starting was a mystery. Dont know if there was already thd tax power being drawn or what, no explanations. If I was in the Scenic, which has a 22 KW AC capability could have gone for that but at 11 KW would not have bothered. Should gave topped up on the way up as had time abd there was a new bank of Gridserve High Powerec chargers on the Northbound just commissioned. Also should have gone over to the TESLA chargers which have the highest reliability rating. Not sure if they have a TESLA Mega pack on site to avoid power supply issues. Renault have announced new R5 abd Scenic versions today and versions have more range. Also LFP versions which will have lower costs but fast charging. The 5 and Scenic both will need there cheap servicing in the next month or two so will ask the sales team about upgrading which should reduce or negate thd need to public charge in future so I will only home or destination charge. Lad talked about his Electric Forecourt experience which sounded great. Place has 4 8 stars on Google. I found charging cheap on the continent. With the larger European countries adding about 2k chargers per month competition wil intensify though a European wide shortage of electricity, but also gas and oil, all linked, a bit of planning a good thing. Octaverse card works at a high percentage of the 1M chargers across Europe. My problems were largely solvable by my better actions. What charge i did get at Sabdbach was less than £8 and then I charged up on free lecky at home yesterday ie the bank holiday where it hovered at minus 1p per KWh in the middle of the day. Cannot imagine going back to ICE as EVs getting better abd better as us the public charging network where ICE running costs look like they will be staying high with the Iran US rumbling on indefinitely.

  33. @lol-lol Wow, it's good to see an honest report on the various charging problems one can run into through no fault of their own. I've got so used to hearing from so many on here that range anxiety and chargers being in use, faulty, etc. are nothing short of hogwash, since they claim it never happens and that proper planning prevents it anyway.🙄 Come to think about it, I think the only other person who has been honest about problems with chargers is @Evolution13 . Did you see the report written by Will Stapley of Which magazine where he recently took an EV on a 2-week, 1,500-mile trip to Italy and back again, and he had to have 19 charging stops on that trip at £285.77, and the total time spent charging was a staggering 14 hours and 38 minutes? Phew. Now the cost is almost on a par with my diesel Kodiaq, which on a decent run averages around 540-560 miles on a tank, so that would only require 3 refuelling sessions (being generous, 10 minutes a time), 30 minutes in total. What I learnt driving an electric car 1,500 miles across Europe - Which?
  34. Bugger, was the oil warning light showing on the drive home?
