Visually etc. My car of the day -today
They are worth quite a bit of money, those things. They look and sound tremendous on the rare occasion I've seen one. Well done to the owner for not parking it up in a garage as an investment

Space Saver Spare Wheel
Yes, about £43 more expensive, but kit 57A093860B is no use for the full size space saver, which many people want. I paid £140 for the full size space saver kit, 57A093860C, which included fitting by my local Škoda dealer.

Error: workshop! Only leave in P position. Anyone fixed it themselves?
I also have this fault, Only leave in P position. However from some of the posts above and from other research it seems that the fault will not cause any issues other than becoming an annoying intermittent fault message. Is this correct? ( I had to turn off the stop /start and the stater motor is playing up, but I don’t think the faults are related). If I do attempt a repair I can only find replacements that require some modification to the housing as an official repair kit for the Fabia mark 3 does not exist.

Thinking about an Elroq, but...
EVs above £50000 now incur the luxury car extra tax, not £40000.

A4 sideskirts on Octavia
But that's not in the wheelbase - remember the A4 has a longitudinal engine but the Octavia transverse so overall length is not relevant.

Not sure about the first locking but all subsequent lockings where because you unlocked it but didn't open the door.

Considering purchasing a used low mileage Monte Carlo 1.5Tsi DSG
looks good mate, exactly same model and colour as my 2 year old one to 🙂 I have been fairly happy and trouble free over my 2 years ownership, the only downside for me is its not much fun to drive and I find the 1.5 lacking in torque and just pickup from low down revs. but I think thats probably as I came from owning 2.0 Diesels for past 20 years and my last one was a remap to with 195bhp and 410nm torque. its a shame the ECU is locked on this one or I would get a remap done.

self locking
Hi all , Sitting in the petrol 1.6 Karoq 2023 today doing the crossword when it locked itself, well not quite , the doors locked but the mirrors did not turn in . pressed the unlock button on the key and it then unlocked , a minute later it did it again so pressed the key button and it unlocked. Thinking I had inadvertently pressed the button I put the keys on the dash and waited . Two minutes later it locked itself again. New key battery about a month ago but if it was that wouldn't it fail safe ? ie doors unlocked . The only other thing I noticed when looking around to see if the wife was near and playing with her key I noticed a VW Turog next but one up being loaded with shopping in the boot. Whats the chances of the VW key signals affecting mine? Or any other ideas of a cause?

Space Saver Spare Wheel
The Karoq 4x4 foam and jack kit 57A093860C is about 42% more expensive than the Karoq FWD foam and jack kit 57A093860B...at least on "skoda parts com". Foam and jack kit (includes everything except for the actual spare wheel...which can be purchased separately) https://www.skoda-parts.com/catalog/karoq/spare-parts/accessories/mandatory-equipment/jack-143.html

I think I've got a parcel shelf sorted and have spotted some mud flaps etc. but am now on the hunt for wheel arch liners... has anyone used the ones from Autodoc... Diedrichs Wheel Arch Liner's: 2236209 DIEDERICHS Wheel arch liner Left Rear | AUTODOC price and review 2236208 DIEDERICHS Wheel arch liner Right Rear | AUTODOC price and review Any ideas if they will need any additional parts (other than maybe clips)

the truth about electric cars
Seriously - being in the industry - you must be stark raving bonkers to think that full self driving vehicles are 'the near future' for much of the population. Yes there are a few places where they are being trialled but not without faults / problems and only in very small geographical areas. Whilst the industry (and certain well known billionaires) are prone to make extravagant claims they don't currently stack up and don't reflect reality. There is then the issue of interior cleaning / sterilisation etc. between users (eg the drunk coming home from the pub who throws up int he back, or the person going to the hospital with a contagious disease). Add to the above a human being's natural self preservation instinct and lack of trust, plus the differing nature of many parts of the UK (many don't live in cities which are where full self drive will be commercially viable) and we're decades away from it.

1967 VW Type 3 Variant 'notchback' I spotted on my travels today. I prefer the Kombi ('Squareback' as the Septics call 'em) and the Fastback myself but I'd settle for one of these. Yours for just €16,990 or £14,565 of your finest British pounds (as Henry Cole might say).

Aircon hissing
So your AC system has a leak! First in line will be the condenser, but leak source needs to be found before replacing parts. A trip to or a home visit from, your local car HVAC operator.”

Space Saver Spare Wheel
Just for clarity, the kit 57A093860C, also fits the 2WD Karoq, enabling a full size space saver wheel to be carried. It sits flush with the boot floor on my 24 Sportline. It does not come with the correct length plastic locking screw, but has not been a problem for me. I think the longer Locking Screw for a Passat will do.

the truth about electric cars
One would expect a full range of vehicles including cars or vans with the ability to have mobility scooters to be able to be loaded and unloaded. One family member obsessed with cars or van with side opening side doors, battle between VW Buzz and Kia PV5. Being 6 and a half feet tall adds to requirements !

Will this scenario work getting two people, two suitcases, Dog plus food and a mobility scooter from Lancashire to Devon?

Sagittarius 19" alloy cover loose and fell or theft?
Just to add that I run on Michelin Cross Climate 2 225/40/R19. They are a great tyre, work well in the dry/wet and good on snow and ice. Also, the wear rate is really good, as a bonus 😀
