  3. @Alasdair1 can u send me links on that ebay u find ? i would love to chcek it,cant find em
  4. Ok thanks. Sounds similar to the behaviour of the aftermarket kit. Will have a go at installing aftermarket and see how well it works. If it works ok I’ll order the OEM lights and mount them into the mirrors.
  5. thnaks for your help but it will be rough battle, cant find nothing anywhere

  7. Vehicle is 2019 Octavia Combi SE. It is fitted with a 5Q0035842C infotainment unit which I think is a "Bolero". The unit reports it is an H41 hardware unit with 0475 software revision installed. Can anyone tell me what the latest software revision is for that unit or a link where I can find out ?
  8. Guten Morgen. Good morning. With the OEM settings, you can adjust the brightness. In this setting, they illuminate constantly, except in a dangerous situation such as a lane change. In that case, the LED is always at its brightest and flashes extremely rapidly. When a vehicle is detected, the LED illuminates at the selected brightness for as long as the control unit specifies. Coding is a bit involved.
  9. Thanks guys that clears that up then thought it was me having a blank moment lol 😂 and its a 2016 Superb L&K typo by me
  10. Just make sure you order the correct one for the drivers door. Have had a few bits and pieces and so far so good. I tend to use a bank account I hardly use for payment just in case. Alasdair

  14. I think that was the opportunity to reject the vehicle, or at least get it recorded in the paperwork that they would either forward it on when found or get you another. Once you have accepted one key it is difficult to complain, unless there is something wrong with the car.
  15. I realise 4wd versions use 45s but do you need to tell your insurance company of the change?
  16. Certainly sounds like the head gasket, if you want to be sure you could try a cheap borescope and get the plugs out and see if any of the cylinders are wet, or look like they've been steam cleaned!
  17. chrisund123 started following Head Gasket?
  18. Yes, you've missed reading the first post, I only asked if anyone has done it?! 👍
  19. Is your phone on silent? I’ve found that things like satnav announcements won’t come through if phone on silent.

  21. MY17 Superb here - as already mentioned above, heating only available for the rear seats. only front seats get heating and cooling.

  23. The A4 is longer - it’s only a bit longer than the Octavia in total length, but the wheelbase is a good 10cm longer. All of this aside, am I missing something? Why are we trying to fit OEM A4 sideskirts to a Skoda Octavia? There are options out there that are designed to fit the car. Sure, you can do it, but if you try hard enough, you can also fit 22” 11J Vossen wheels while you’re at it.
  24. That's an excellent call Alasdair. I'd forgotten that so much is available from China. They produced a car that was a concoction of some VW group parts and used a long wheelbase body that was very similar to the Skoda Superb Mk1, hence a good source of parts at competitive prices.
  25. What he said ^ You accepted the terms at the point of sale. I’m not saying you don’t have an argument, but I highly, highly doubt they’re going to take the car back because of a missing key. Have you contacted them? That’s probably what I would do. It’s easier for them to sort a problem when they know they have one to fix.

  27. and flooring it* Also heard that I won't be able to feel the difference in wear based on the travel distance since it's a hydraulic, does this track?
  28. A problem could arise if the contract was signed accepting one key only as part of the sale.
  29. Hi all, I'm currently in France and since arriving from the UK my connect services haven't worked. They've always worked before in France. I've tried resetting the infotainment system and I have a connection to the emergency call button (green light is on). However, Skoda connect says no data connection. Anybody else had this issues and any fixes? Car is a 2018 Superb Sportline with 9.2 Columbus system. Thanks in advance for any help.
  30. Brill thanks! I'm just wondering if I can manage without the adapters and just screw the fronts to the existing trim as the adapters aren't on autodoc but might be on LLLParts...
  31. I am going to upsize to 45s. ODBeleven can alter the speedo correction after fitment of the 45s so under or over reading is no longer a problem
  32. Hello, I'm looking for advice concerning a used car that's being sold from a dealership, the car has 66000km and has followed every service with one owner. The timing chain is stretched, but they will replace it with an upgraded one before delivery at my request, but I noticed that the clutch bite point was very high during my test drive, is this normal? I own an automatic Fabia from the same generation, so I'm not not familiar with the manual clutches. As of now the clutch engages the gear at about 75-90% disengagement (when I let out the pedal), which feels a lot like a worn out clutch from a previous vehicle I've driven. I did try putting the car in high gear during a slight hill with low speed (40km/h and 4th gear, don't know if this is aggressive enough) without any increased RPM and a normal slow acceleration. I also tried putting the handbrake on and keeping the engine at 2k rpm, then slowly releasing the clutch to see when it stalled, it took a long time, but stalled around 80-90% disengagement. Appreciate any and all advice, the contract for the car needs to be signed tomorrow to keep my reservation 😅
  33. Yes Lee. Heating and only on the outer seats too. They’ve never produced a Superb with cooled rear seats as there’s no gap under the seat base to fit the fans or to allow the disposal of the air. The system draws the air through and thereby away from the seat base rather than blowing it through, which what the wife’s Kona EV does.
