  2. Hi, I’m looking at getting a Skoda Peaq and I’m trying to decide between getting the Sportline with relax and pan roof option or the Edition with standard or relax option. I’m 6 foot five and my concern is that the Sportline seats will be less comfortable than the Edition, but I am not sure. Comfortable seats are my priority. If there is no disadvantage with the relax seats in the Sportline I would go for that. I would welcome any advice. This will be a salary sacrifice lease car for three years so I am happy to order it unseen, because I like Skodas but I have not been able to find a dealer that has the car in stock to sit in it.

  4. Unfortunately the one I pasted above is the full content of that page, there is no further information. I have no idea why the software version is blank.

  6. I had a weird incident the other day. Boot was open and right-side boot lid sidelight was flickering/strobing. Closed the lid and it stopped on the way down never to have done it again. Tbh as long as I don’t have to spend what I guess is a stupid amount of money getting a replacement I’m happy.

  8. The question came up about RoW so we went back to 453 RoW.... we just need 473 😉. Why 450 series started to be talked about since 453 had been found but not 473 and @viper42 told me how to read off the navigation FeCs in the file. That had been a ten year quest of mine to fine where they were stored in the file, not that you can change them in the file but in the unit.
  9. Thank you for your reply Mihai23. The infotainment problem must be so frustrating for you and the other owners who have had it. Hopefully Skoda have fixed new cars but who knows the if the same or a new problem will show up after a few years of use. I think that cars now are so complicated that manufacturers are unable to produce a product that just works. Do many owners actually want all the bells and whistles?
  10. not strictly correct. had another try and the boot will open about 6" then stop and start bleeping at me. I then have to manually open and close. I`m guessing this is not a wire break or it wouldnt open at all, any ideas?
  11. An update to my previous post after rear doors speakers installation: 1. I would not recommend re-shaping plastic connectors with a knife exactly the way I described in my previous post. I tried to keep some existing raised guides on the Skoda plastic connector for tighter fit. But, due to that, I had to reverse the connector and the polarity of the connection. This should negatively affect sound quality (though it still was better than original speakers). If use this approach, better cut off all the guides and insert the connector in the correct position. My assumption that "red goes to +" was wrong. In fact, both the original and Focal speakers have a "+" sign on the right-hand side of the connector, so the wire that originally went to the right should also go to the right in the new installation. 2. I bought and used VW 1J0972704 connectors, they are perfect fit to Focal. Disassembling Skoda connectors was not as easy, I had to cut it in pieces by side cutters and heat the remains of the plastic with a hair dryer to release metal parts. Assembling was just insert and click. 3. I used IS VW 155 speakers for the rear doors because their smaller size makes installation easier. With the wider IS VW 165 it was quite complicated, as I couldn't position my rivet tool over the hole at a right angle.
  12. Hi Stanciu09! Could you please share some photos with us about the disassembly process? Thank you!
  13. How you decided exactly for this part number?
  14. Thanks for your response - much appreciated. When I scan for stations (DAB) I don't see the ones I want, namely Gold Radio and Smooth Radio. I can get them via CarPlay but I'd rather have them preset into the radio itself.
  15. Welcome to the forum. A very nice looking car. Almost identical mileage to mine currently. With the radio stations, tune to the station you want and then press and hold on one of the big square presets in the row along the middle of the screen until it beeps. This will then be saved. If the logo doesn’t save automatically these can be uploaded from an SD card.
  16. Collected on Monday 7 September 2026 - my first Skoda. 2017 Superb Combi 2.0 TDI SE Executive Technology in Business Grey, with 7-speed DSG autobox and 134,000 miles on the clock. Loving it ... so far 😂👍
  17. Monday 7 September was a good day ... I collected my first Skoda from the selling car dealer. It's a 2017 Superb Combi 2.0 TDI SE Technology in Business Grey with a 7-speed DSG autobox and 134,000 miles on the clock. It had a new cam belt and water pump plus a gearbox service prior to me collecting the car so no worries on that score for a few years (hopefully). Wireless Apple CarPlay worked fine using the BT dongle I took out of my E-Class and yesterday I moved the dashcam across too. This morning National tyres (aka Halfords) turned up at my home at 8:30 to fit four new tyres (I seldom trust the tyres fitted to used cars) and was gone in under 45 minutes so the car is ready for its first trek to North Wales on Monday with four adults, a 90kg mobility scooter in the boot and our luggage on the roof. It should give me a better idea of what the car can do. 😊 Aside from the normal evidence of everyday use for the past 8 3/4 years it's in really nice condition and I'm looking forward to many years of trouble free motoring with it. One downside is that I'm struggling to get my head around how to change/preset the radio stations. It's clearly a me problem but the infotainment system appears far more complex than it needs to be and way less intuitive than the Mercedes. I will win in the end though 👍
  18. then the units will do the trick , bty experience stick with EBILAEN for the drive mods. you can use the stock car GPS and DAB antenna. you only need fakra connectors. look for the huge thread on it (I was quite actif) and you will have all the information you need
  19. Hi Minsy, thank you good to be here. First impressions are the Fabia is very comfy and has a massive boot compared to the Yaris excel and also the 12v battery doesn’t go flat after two or three days of not driving her 😁
  20. I'm aware Chinese units are not the best but tbh I don't want to pay Skoda prices to have it fixed and also don't really want to pay 300 quid for a repair to my unit, or even finding someone who will repair it for less and maybe still have issues down the line. I just want to be able to listen to music again with out distortion and I'm not likely to be keeping the car that much longer anyway.
  21. Do you have any pictures of the installation? That would be very helpful to me. Did you simply unplug the old ones and install the new ones?

Can anyone tell me what the two short metal pipes (with S bends in) coming out from the rear of the engine tray are please?

  27. update so is working fine no errors i swaped my 2 spoke with 3 spoke 5E3419093AG VKK
  28. My most recent tow for long distances in the UK was a Shetland 5.4 metre outboard cruiser on a single-axle tilter - never put on a weighbridge but wet weight was almost certainly a 'bit' over the unbraked limit! Boat was used for cross-channel cruises and long-coastal around Southern England, so usually carried fuel for around 70-100 miles. Tow vehicles with that boat were 2.0L Volvo 360, then a 2.2L Vauxhall - both N.A and with lower HP/Torque than the Octavia, hardly felt the weight with either.

  30. Bought a 2020 Octavia MK4 in October 2024. Until May 2025, I had almost no problem. Very comfortable car, nice driving experience. But with the arrival of hot weather, the infotainment started switching itself on and off even when the car was locked, and that made my battery go flat. To this day, still no definitive solution, just endless updates. So my solution was to unplug the fuse each time I leave the car for longer than a few hours. Also, problem with the volume that kept turning up; very annoying. I live in Belgium and the dealership wasn't willing to replace the unit (will be done on September 11th) and didn't take into consideration the endless videos I took of this problem, until they saw it themselves. Maybe you won't have my problems, really rooting for you, because it is a beautiful, spacious, really the car of my dreams when it came off the production line back in 2020. But my next car won't definitely be anything produced by Volkswagen given the ignorance I witnessed. Have a great day, friend
