  2. This is a Manual according to first post. Would that still be a DQ250?
  3. Doesn’t bother me about the boys getting it dirty. We do a lot of shows so it’s never clean all the time But the dog smell and hair is what I hate
  4. Greetings all, hello Alasdair1 I'm glad you've managed to pass those hurdles, the 1.2's never came to Barbados, only the 1.4's in 3 variants, estate, hatch and sedan Anyhow good news all around
  5. JackTurner changed their profile photo
  6. Always good to have a fresh interior. It’s nice to have the car looking shiny outside but with kids, it’s such a nice place to sit when pristine.
  7. Off for an interior detail Friday Get rid of the dog hair and smell! And a few other bits I wasn’t happy with on handover Long list of parts I want Probably get front windows tinted and a tinted sunstrip first 🤭
  8. Shameless tarting up of the engine bay…although not as far as cleaning yet.

  10. Hi, just joined to find out some more information about towbars for my Octavia VRS which was built in January 2024. I'm trying to get one installed so I can put a bike rack on the car. The local dealer has quoted £2,300 for am electric retractable one but I don't need something that fancy. Is it possible to install a detachable third party one now? I'm based near Gatwick if that helps with any local recommendations. Thanks for your help

  13. Replied with part numbers etc. It is the later type, where driver's and passenger side can operate relatively independently compared with the earlier versions where driver's side failure generally caused both sides to not work. There's a tab at the top of the door bellows, on the bit nearest to the A-pillar. To release the bellows from the A-pillar you push downwards fairly firmly on that tab then pull the top outward. If it's never been opened before these can be stubborn, try not to force it, they can break. There's then an orange rotating locking clip that needs to rotate further than you first think to release the (28 way) door loom connector from its mating half on the pillar. (Especially important to make sure it's fully open when refitting connector). Does the switchpack light up when vehicle lights are turned on? The backlighting relies on the same earth as the switch functions do.
  14. Hello. Firstly sorry if this is in the wrong section. Either way I own a late model 25 plate Karoq sport. Full spec up . I've just got back from Canada and on my first night of drive hit the side of a field while heading home. Stupid i know, but it's not being repaired by Skoda they have given me a brand new 2026 plate. And funnily enough they fixed the wireless charger but add mag lock. My 2025 will slip of and stop changing. . Any body know where to buy these (see picture). Skoda has already told me they can't get it at the minute. You will see in the images mag lock is new there. And it keep the phone in place.
  15. Mines randomly leaking from the second radiator, doesn’t do it all the time but keeping an eye on it The way I traced it was literally jacking it up and removing the under tray and look around with a decent torch. I believe if the water pump is suspected it’s probably best to remove the wheel arch liner and you’ll see if it’s leaking
  16. If you intend to maintain the vehicles electronic service history, make sure any independent garage you use has the necessary equipment to do so - not all do.
  17. Thanks for the help. I've sent Pete the VIN Number and see what comes back. I'll follow the recommendations and start with the Door Connections. Thanks Again, I think I'll be using this forum quite a lot............
  18. Yes. Good look around for damp or signs of coolant should give away the general location and point towards a failure area. Speculating only puts the price up in your head before the faults even found.
  19. I had the same thing yesterday, decided to try the auto function and then couldn't remember how to turn it off. As others have mentioned I needed to wait until it auto-activated, and then pull on the stalk - that turns it off. Otherwise you're just toggling between manual high-beam and auto "matrix mode"
  20. This has been floating around for a little while, We had a 2007 Polo which was recalled in August/September and had a replacement airbag
  21. There were 3 quite different types of motor module fitted to mk2 Fabia during its production run, I think yours will be the last version but can check with VIN. I seem to remember there's at least two incompatible versions of the switchpack also. I'll message you to request the VIN and then I can look up for you. Still reckon a 5 minute look at the wiring in the bellows is the very first, and likely the only thing you'll need to do.
  22. Was due to get graphics done for the side “Need money for Porsche” Always had people asking me about them 😂😂 McLaren wheels next 😝
  23. You should have had a sign in the back saying: when I grow up, I want to be a Porsche 😁
  24. The door window module may be repairable as mentioned. If you are getting one make sure the part number is identical. Quite a few on ebay that are for LHD cars so wont work. The wiring from door to door pillar as Pete said is the first and likely culprit if fuses are ok. I found by removing stay that stops door opening too far you get better access to rubber bellows. The loom plugs into a socket/maybe two on door pillar under rubber gator. You should be able to test continuity from there back into door once door panel is off. Watch the door handle release cable. Its clipped into a plastic bit that has a tendency to snap if not careful. On my sons it was temperamental at first. Passenger side would sometimes work then control/motor failed completely. I was driving and had to drive home with window open in -8C with wet slush hitting the side of my head. Pete repaired it and its been fine ever since. Alasdair
  25. He's bought a policy with a Blackbox. Cheapest he could get was £1845 if he insured it from the 23rd November. It was £2660 if he insured it from last Sunday. I went with him and bought a temporary policy to get the car home, hence why I fee a little responsible and want to help him repair the fault. We used "Covered on Demand" for the learner cover, I think it's similar to marmalade, was really good. Getting back to the fault I've checked fuses 51 & 52 and a scheme on another thread pointed to checking fuse 11. This was my starting point. I was then going to check the Connectors on the Door Gator then start belling out the door loom, hence why I was looking for some help in locating the correct wiring diagram for the year \ model. Beyond this I've bought the drivers side double window switch from eBay, which I'm waiting to arrive. If they're not too expensive I'd also try and get a door Window Control Module, so I had the most likely components for when I have a go at finding the fault.
  26. You can't. This kind of software goes via ODIS if you want to do it manually. And: there is a high change of bricking the OCU unit IF performed manually. Most likely you cannot get a primary user because of outdated 5F software; make sure you run the latest firmware: 1989.
  27. Hello! I have a 2019 Škoda Karoq with the radio shown in the attached photo. Is there any new software available for it, and if so, where can I download it? Thank you!
  28. I wish sone one had told me when I was young "If it aint broke don't fix it" The blunders I made. In later life someone also told me the thing you worry about rarely happens ,but the real problems are the ones that come unexpectedly out of the blue.
