  2. Firmware 0334 ist Last one for this HW
  3. ^^^ Perfect. Fixed Regime chart not accurate in all. But as far as Extended Scope the idea is @ first 3 years then each 2 years. As Brake Fluid used to be, but now they say each 2 years. Not all DSG are at 40,000 miles. Cambelts also changed advice.
  4. I did upgrade my Superb this summer. I have no regrets. I made some mistakes so it got a lot more expensive than i tought but it was worth it for me.

  6. For anyone that comes across this with a slightly newer model, I just followed these steps and fixed the heater element for the seat base on my 2016 Yeti and it all went smoothly. Some (minor) points to note : 1) The seat is heavy and bulky but definitely easier to get to everything if you take it right out. 2) I couldn't get to the spline nut behind the seat belt stalk to remove the seat-back but I found just removing the two lower ones (one each side) I could rock the base forward to create a gap and remove the old element and pass the new one's cable etc through easily enough. 3) The height adjustment lever seemed to have a little clip on the inside face that needed to be pressed in and then it slid off easily. 4) The rear-most connector in the floor under the seat (the small black one) was not at all clear how it came apart - keep fiddling and you will work it out! 5) Pressing the seat cover retainers into the C-clip was easy and didn't require helping hand. It took me two hours including tea breaks and occasional cursing - now I have a warm rear end after putting this job off for more than two years!

  12. Our (daughter's) Kamiq is just coming up to 3yrs old too and dealer service manager said (by emai) that it's an oil lubrication service. Which I believe is literally just an oil and filter change and some basic safety checks (lights. horn etc). That's different to what the Skoda website says, which says at 3yrs/30K it should have a "Oil and inspection service with Extended scope". The first two services were included with the deal for the car and I'm sure I recall reading that they were just oil services, plus pollen filter at year 2. That would fit with what the website is saying for year 3. There's a quite ridiculous difference in price between the oil service and oil plus inspection. Especially bearing in mind the car will be MOT'd too, which is a pretty thorough going over. I'm annoyed to have to pay at all - slipped up really, should have had the car left on longlife servicing so it wouldn't even be due for its second service yet. Having said that, I'm not mad on the car not being looked at for 2yrs, and leaving oil in for 18,500 miles probably isn't a good idea.
  13. I am due a bonus next month and seriously considering this upgrade. For those that have changed how do you find not having physical buttons? Is the improvements to the screen worth it? My wife’s kodiaq has MIB3 and I’m less keen on the touchscreen buttons. It’s quite a big cost if I’m not going to like it!
  14. Keep getting the update repeats on the wife’s kodiaq. Hopefully they will get a proper update soon too

For 30 years, the modern-era Škoda Octavia has been the brand’s bestseller, with almost eight million units produced across four generations. The model’s versatility is also demonstrated by the wide range of versions developed for different purposes. Let us take a look back at some of the most interesting ones. https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/skoda-world/the-versatile-octavia-do-you-know-these-ones-too/ Experience a day full of classic cars and good cheer and join the 13th edition of the annual Škoda Classic Tour in an exclusive video. https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/skoda-world/skoda-classic-tour-through-the-eyes-of-a-spectator/
  16. I selected these after going thru the Octavia VRS forums on FB and this was a popular choice. Firmer but bearable I would say. H+R and Eibach Pro were the most common springs alongside OE shocks, although the H+Rs seemingly do go a bit lower (especially at the rear) and are firmer than the Pro's.
  17. I have had my car for about six months. Was getting bugged with the repeat updates that lately appeared every day. Today I have been offered a proper system update, hopefully that will get rid of the constant small updates. The files it's downloading is :- M013_EU_SKMQB_P33400P... 0/3602 MB. Fingers crossed it's improving it. Cheers Bart....

  19. Read the Warranty. That is a Oil & Inspection Service. (Oil Change and look see.) The Warranty requires the Vehicle serviced to the Manufacturers Recommendations, Schedule or Regime. Well it left the factory on Variable / Flexible Oil Service regime. If changed to Fixed Oil & Filter Services that is when the Service or Oil Service or Inspection service shows. 9,400 miles / 372 days. The Fixed Service Regime is not Recommended, scheduled or advised untill some Tech / Fitter changed it to that.
  20. Please let me know if you solve it. I changed dcc on warranty and that not helped. I also change both front arms, dual mass, silent block DSG - nothing helped
  21. Message now come up on my dash for engine oil change, is this a service or just oil ?
  22. I get this almost every time I get the car out, 'more info' tells you nothing and nothing happens if you select 'install', ps its a '23 Kamiq Right now its also telling me it wants an oil change, back to Arnold Clarks then
  23. I always back off the accelerator once I’ve got some nice momentum going.
  24. The gear number only ever shows when in sport mode, usually it just shows ‘D’ unless you have it in manual mode.
  25. I’ve no idea about cylinder deactivation as unlike my previous Karoq there’s no symbol to say if it’s active or not on my Scala dash.
  26. If you use the back button it takes you back to an Enyaq update, so that procedure may be EV specific. Same update message is appearing in our Karoq (and probably other Skoda models too). One user is reported that his car has updated now: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/541069-constant-app-updates/
  27. The link for the exact one I got is dead but I think this is the newer version of it. https://a.aliexpress.com/_Ex5BdpG
  28. Worth checking out until help comes along.
  29. Evolution13 started following Tow bar install
  30. I might try one of the ali express ones.
  31. Firmware 253T https://mega.nz/file/A3kVnRrb#5USQHMiRRmq3dhy1cjEvacw4y6GoXxRMGnsVhhOIhAw Patch for 253T https://mega.nz/file/cy9SyZYB#7Hoi6A-cIl1xc-J5oqRJ8Q27mOv7JbzYbnb9sLRcJQg
  32. I read on here before about updating the firmware on the ottocast to correct some issues. No idea how that’s done. My Ali express one connects within a few seconds and auto plays from where you left off. It’s been plugged in permanently for nearly a year and had no issues whatsoever.
  33. Thank you. 👍 It will be next week before I'm home again and my new (32Gb) card should be here by then. Wish me luck. ps. Did you glean anything from the photos I put up? Is there a need for new software, or an update I should be doing?
  34. MIB3? Preh Manufactur? Simple to patch CP Off via USB, but Software dont Higher then 332
