Could be! This is maybe why I'm getting nowhere...😄

Not sure diesels have spark plugs 🤔 Do you mean glow plugs? Welcome BTW.
  3. This is the link for the 2021 Karoq which can be downloaded :- https://carmanuals2.com/get/skoda-karoq-2021-owner-s-manual-116538 and it is free, and it is printed NOV 2020
  4. This came up on AutoTrader. I'm quite fond of Almeras, and this one is just the best I've ever seen. My Mum isn't convinced... yet. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202211011264663

Don't worry, it happens to us all from time to time, brilliant introduction for sure! Sounds like you are looking for service parts, good luck,
  6. From the service manual:
  7. Check the tyre pressures before you set off anywhere too.
  8. 3.5 months is not a lot. Should be fine, just do the usual checks first. Best to take it for a drive if you can rather than just letting it idle - that will clean up the brakes and make sure everything gets properly up to temperature.
  9. Expensive does not necessarely means they are the best as well, but i understand what you say.
  10. There was probably an error code stating which are (or have been) low. I would expect the car to warn you, maybe try using the other two keys and see if that shows a warning?
  11. What year is the car? Sounds a bit like the anti-pinch feature is being falsely triggered. This can happen if there's extra resistance to upward motion. Try this experiment: With window halfway open, gently pull upwards on the glass between finger and thumb, at two places, nearest the back edge, and towards the front of the pane. See if there's more movement at one end than the other. If there is, this may suggest the plastic fitting that attaches glass to window mechanism is broken at that end. This results in the glass skewing a bit on the way up, because one and only one of the lifting points is doing all the lifting.
  12. Ok.... So it turns out the cover comes off relatively easily 😳 and goes back on easily. See attached for part numbers, can confirm cover fits my partners Kodiaq RS that had the cover removed on the recall. 👍
  13. Yup, that sound broken. I suspect you've bought someone else's problem -you've done the right thing rejecting the car.
  14. kodiaqsportline - please read again my post last Friday regarding the web page now used to host/display the manual, and then take into account the comments by varoom above. KenONeill - I was tempted to respond immediately to your comments but saw no real point until the above response from varoom appeared. I repeat - there are no means available on the page to download anything, and trying to print anything (using the three dots access to Chrome's settings only produces a garbled image. I've yet to try a screenshot (& print of the resulting .jpeg) but I can't help but think that that would be an extremely time-consuming process, extremely costly in terms of ink usage in printing the whole screen, and I have to ask why what should be a relatively simple process should be made so difficult. If Skoda were to continue to put up the manual as a printable/downloadable .pdf the problem is solved. If they subsequently need to update any particular page - no problem. Page updated & new information available to anybody who needs to access it. varoom - Thanks for your post - hopefully some readers will see that it isn't just me - you have described my problem extremely succinctly. (At one point I did start to wonder whether I might be in need of a little more learning/practice in the use of computers - I started with an IBM PC-XT in 1974(!) so obviously I could be said to have a lot to learn.
  15. @9,400 miles / 12 months or sooner if you want will be fine for Oil & Filter changes. You will be resetting the Service indicator if the car is already set on Fixed Servicing. If on Variable / flexible then maybe you need A N Other to do that. http://volkswagen.co.uk/en/owners-and-drivers/servicing/service-plans/service-schedules.html
  16. I had a similar issue mate in my 2016 scout. I accepted what they said as it was a big chain tyre fitter and the last thing I wanted them to do was mess on with the subframe. The guy couldn't even select the right version of my car from the screen and said "it doesn't matter, they are all the same" until his boss told him he needed to chose the right car to get the right adjustments to make. I figured the subframe was probably set at the factory so must have been in their factory tolerance. You experience has set mind at rest that it isn't just my car with this diagnosis ! Cheers
  17. That’s a poor show from a main dealer. They should surely rectify this and provide another?
  18. I have reduced the noise but not completely eliminated it. I have posted some time ago regarding what I have done which you will find if you do a search. My next improvement will be replacing the original Sachs oil filled shock absorbers front and rear for Bilstein gas shocks next spring- current front ones have slight weap which was advisory on mot just recently so need replacing.
  19. Please note - I am not a mechanic or expert in anything Could that just be a typo error (or prefilled format), have they actually said that is what was put into your engine. @toot is 0w-16 used over here, my wife's 2015 car is the latest car we have, and are probably ever likely to have so I know even less about moderns than I do my previous car.
  20. Thank you so much thats perfect. I input everything as you told me and it worked. Really appreciate the time you took out to help.
  21. There is a guide here: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/491705-how-to-update-maps-on-mib2-or-mib25-amundsen/ The latest full EU maps are already too big for a 16gb SD card. I'd suggest you choose one of the smaller selections instead. If you do need full EU coverage, you should buy an appropriate 32gb SD card 👍
  22. 😄 When did I say expensive! Instead of going for bargain budget tyres go for mid range which have tried n tested like Nankang or Kumho ideally in that category i would go for Uniroyals or Hankooks
  23. The lack of offers means how new the item is in the market ... let see when we receive the letter from Skoda customer service about its availability 🤞
  24. Not this part - those 3 are there. Thanks - Pos 3 is what I need - Thanks
  25. The car will have all 3x keys stored, and when he would have used keys 1 & 3, during a low battery situation, the car would store that just those 2x ID's are having a low battery situation.
  26. I could view it for free but as I mentioned previously, it's an old manual from 11.2017
  27. As I noted above, going directly asked me for a login but going to https://manual.skoda-auto.com/004/en-com/Models first, making a selection and getting redirected to it, makes it work - although doesn't help with the OP's issue When I tried using the link direct, I got the login prompt you mentioned:
  28. Can you do a print screen or use Snipping tool to capture a screenshot and post here? I am also getting German login (can change url to en-GB language) but then it still asks for email address and password.
  29. There are only a few small patches of a thin dampening material under the tire. I would suggest putting there a aftermarket sound dampening material which is thicker and it takes away a lot more sound and vibration.
  30. https://digital-manual.skoda-auto.com/w/en_GB/welcome this is for year 22
  31. I have a wide range of knowledge, but enough brains to just about know when to advise or call in the experts like Pete. We have a few forum members that are like google for being able to recall previous posts and pull them up to help, most helpful in getting fast answers!
  32. I think it's worth contacting Skoda customer service. It sounds to me like you've been given the standard "Tell him to go away and see if he goes away." brush off. It might also be worth contacting another Skoda dealer to get a 2nd opinion. Indicate you're not happy with the response your dealer has given, and they might offer to help you out with a view to getting future custom from you. Good luck!
  33. I will tag @Breezy_Pete here as I suspect he will be along to answer shortly. Most likely the rubber door bellows has a wire inside that is broken, stopping comms to a few other parts (has a domino effect)
  34. Yup, this started happening to me recently despite new batteries in the key fob. I'm currently ignoring it and I keep a couple of spares in the glove box for when it eventually does run out!
  35. Hi varooom. TMBAR7NE5L0xxxxxx Thanks
  36. And I am in Serbia. Think about what we get. 🤣

Thanks worked better than expected. Original HD OK and boot splash split fixed too. I found a local guy who said I could get a VCDS backup cam re-enabled as the SWL disabled it.
  38. I'm happy for you... If everyone's experience had been the same we probably wouldn't be having this conversation
  39. I have a beige one from a superb im giving away if thats any good to you? Could strip the mechanism out of it and use it possibly? (its free)
  40. Based upon recommending what you own, XLR. Superb piece of kit. Mine doesn't have the phone app but it really is set and forget once you've settled on the setting that works best for you.
  41. There is only a PDF for 2018 cars to view online/download a copy, the last ever PDF release for a Karoq. There is not a PDF for 2022 cars to view or download, this is the trouble he is having. All there is available is a naff website, that you cannot print to a legible PDF, and if you could, there would be hundreds of files made (one per page)
  42. I don't think people understand the OP's problem. He has a paper manual, it is missing information, and is telling him to use the digital manual, the PDF files are no more after 2018 (I've never seen one since for this car) so the new digital manual is now a website as such. The website is horrible to navigate if you're used to reading a PDF. Printing off sections from the webpage, the formatting is terrible, so you end up with garbled pages of information.

Looks good but with the diameter at 7cm it may be a squeeze I ended up with this one, it goes about 3/4 in the centre cup holder https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09PL6T4FF
  44. Common issue across the petrol range. The resolution is to by a Throttle controller like the Pedal Box or EVC throttle controller. I've bought the EVC one and its made such a difference, the throttle response is near instant depending on setting. TBH it's a must for the Superb TSI. I'm assuming as the diesel range has more torque low down it doesnt suffer as much.
  45. Too many photos to put in one post but I've finished polishing the paint, wasn't glazed or waxed in that photo, so might come out a bit glossier when I'm actually finished. And I used trim restore on the bumpers, Didn't get a good before/after shot like I did the bonnet, so I did one on the boot trim. Took the plates off for probably the first time, as evidenced by the imprint of the numbers behind them. Not sure whether I'll keep the old plates or maybe get new metal ones. Might put a jap/square plate on the front as it seems one might fit it better than the original one
  46. Having long had a purchasing policy of buy brand new but buy cheap, we've continued the same way after relocating to Tenerife. Importing cars from the UK is expensive, second hand cars on the island are expensive, so a cheap new one was the way ahead. After researching the market in the Canaries, it seemed the likely choices were old stock i20 or Ibiza, or brand new C3 or Sandero. Having driven 3 of them already we tried the Sandero Stepway at our local UK Renault dealer. First thoughts it's a nice car, though the demo was the top of the range one. Modern inside and out, well equipped, and a good drive. The 1.0 triple is gruffer sounding than VWs, but seems to have better torque than my 110TSI. It's also a big car, 4 inches wider, longer and higher than a C3. Roomier than the other choices, and the interior matches SEAT/Skoda for quality and comfort, whist being much nicer than the 2020 Citroen/Hyundais. So, Mrs Spyyder chose the Sandero, but shortly afterwards I found out about the 5/6 month wait for one 😮 so I wasnt hopeful. Luckily, and unlike any UK dealers, the Tenerife/Gran Canaria agent had about a dozen in stock, so instead of ordering the lower spec one we were aiming for (and waiting forever), we spent a little more and grabbed a stock vehicle which was delivered 7 days later. Our bi-fuel car has an LPG system which improves the engine from OK to very nice. Smoother, quicker, cheaper to run and greener. In the UK theres no price premium for it either, so I wonder why anyone is buying the petrol . Is it really still cheap? Well the stripped out and slow 65PS Access was £7995 but Dacia UK have binned it. The range entry is now £8995, but again its only 65PS. You have to have the 90 or 100PS engine really so the Sandero in mid-spec now is more like a 10.5k car. The SUV-look Stepway is another 1k on top, but most seem to be buying the higher Comfort or Prestige models of that one, which whilst loaded can get up towards £15k. Ours is middle of the Stepway range, and only lacks blindspot warning and satnav options from the highest spec (but has Carplay/Android Auto so who needs integral nav?). These prices are for possibly the biggest supermini on the market, nearly the size of a Golf, and the price competition are mostly tiny citycars, or very basic editions of comparable hatches. It's still real value for money whatever you choose, but no longer old tech, this is based on the current Clio/Juke platform and is genuinely a modern car. I can see why its #1 in European sales, and I'm glad we beat the rush, as stocks in Spain are dwindling now too.
  47. So when I ordered the Enyaq back in March, the dealer took a gamble on allowing me to do so without committing to an order without a test drive. We've known each other and I've been buying cars from him for 21 years so there's a degree of trust there but still I wasn't sure when I started the test on Satruday night whether I would be happy with the car. After all, I've come from driving a Tesla Model 3 which is supposed to be the best EV out there. So on Saturday I was handed the key to an Enyaq 60 iv, ie the 58 kWh version, so it has a battery that's 11 kWh bigger than my model 3 but it's less efficient. On Saturday evening it was 11 degrees and returned around 3.8 m/kWh on a mix of motorway and A roads. On Sunday it was about 16 and it returned 4.5 m/ kWh (anythign above 4 is pretty good, but the Tesla used to give above 5 as it is a ridiculously efficient car). Bottom line, wow it's a good car. It's a real step up from the ID4 which I tested previously. The infotainment is fast and snappy and the 13 inch screen is really clear. It's not a rocket ship like a model 3 but it's got that noitcable ev punch that makes it feel faster than an ice car. And it's incredibly quiet. Noticeably quieter than the model 3. I only covered around 100 miles so I've not had masses of experience with it yet but the stand out feature for me is the adaptive regeneration. A lot of the reviews have said there's no one pedal driving. But the car reads the road ahead and works out whether it's best to coast or whether you need stronger regen. It works really well. It spots roundabouts and traffic lights and beefs up the regen accordingly. It does the same if there's a speed limit sign. It even spotted a 20mph sign where I was having to go through the central reservation into a contra flow. The car slowed automatically to 20mph. Very impressive. The two annoying features I found were there's no battery percentage, just a miles guesstimate (which seems very accurate thankfully). No matter where you look all you can get is the guesstimated range and a battery graphic showing how many bars of charge you have. And when you're charging it doesn't tell you what kW rate you're getting from the charger, just how many mph are being added. There's an app you can use to tell you this but I didn't set all that up for a test drive. It's bizarre that the sat nav shows you ev chargers and petrol stations though, maybe it's because they always have a shop you might want, or air for your tyres. I mainly used Google maps though. Or waze. I really just tried the car system for completeness. The voice commands were fine when using google but the Skoda ones (aka Laura) were a bit more slow and ponderous. Whereas with google you say "hey google, navigate to X", with the Skoda one you say navigate to X and she says "ok what's the city", then "what's the street" etc. It all worked way better than the system in the Tesla but I think I'll stick with Google unless I'm adjusting the aircon etc. So am I sold? Totally. It's comfy, quiet, has a huge boot and it's smaller than my model 3. It's got a 9m turning circle, close to a London taxi turning ability. My car has had lots of options selected whereas this one had nothing, it's the plain £32k car with zero options. If anyone is looking for a hatch back ev this is well worth a look. The dealer said that the Renault dealer next door remarked that this is just a couple of thousand more than a zoe, and went away looking worried 😂. I'll let you know yes it goes when my actual car arrives and I can play with things like the HUD. And as for the supercharger shot, it was juvenile but we were passing by and.... 😎
