No idea it is your car. Does the gear you are in show on your car? Cylinder Deactivation works when no load on the engine.

the truth about electric cars
@lol-lol but that is true of any company, their reputation etc is all down to the staff, they can make or break a company. Sadly all too often, staff is not appreciated by the bosses.

Fuel Consumption
That's the way to do it then. Was 'Coasting' enabled and your toe off the accelerator quite a lot once the cars was nicely rolling along?

the truth about electric cars
Quite similar to my very good Renault - Dacia dealer called Savilles, single site dealership, best customer service i have ever had but I know Renault would insist on all sorts of things, bigger showroom, take models that probably would not sell ie those big cars Renault are not really reunion for. Sad and like many marque they end up with multi chain delearship that do not seem as caring. That said I gave found Startin of Worcester good but that is down to one great salesman I deal with !

Fuel Consumption
Curiosity got the better of me on a drive back from Somerset yesterday and I decided to leave the gearbox in ‘sport’ mode which isn’t something I’d really used much before. Low and behold the car goes and returns my best fuel consumption figures to date and I wasn’t exactly driving like Miss Daisy either 👀

I don't even know what this part is called in English, all I know is I need a new one...
But you hold this specific hose in your hands in the video. Here in Greece we call those pipes as ''paper pipes'', an example Here Usually for air-induction kits, as you saw in the links i use it in a different way than the factory to bring more cool air inside my air-filter box.

SD cards and the Amundsen infotainment system.
Thank you. That's a much better guide than I've seen anywhere else. I'm going to print it and stick it in the glovebox. I have ordered a 32Gb 'clone' card to see if it helps and I'm going to try and find a Linux, or Windoze machine to use for the job. In the meantime, I'll leave the old card alone (it's working for now, don't tempt fate) accept the older info and make my journeys next week. I'll have a Co-Pilot with me who has a 6th sense for direction - I kid you not, he's uncanny.😁 When the clone arrives, I'll play with that and see where I get to.

Ottocast issues
I first bought a cheepone off amazon but had problems with sound from Waze and Google maps, changed to an Ottocast Pico, thinking the button may reconnect easily, but that isnt the case, i have to have bluetooth on to connect first, then it uses the wifi , when the nav app sound doesnt work i just remove the ottocast and reinsert it, the sound then starts ( found it is the same with the cheap unit i had too

Volume keeps turning up??
I’ll feature the video post for you, as a cure. But if you contact @ColinD , the Site Owner, you can discuss options for being able to sell the repair product you have made through the forum’s market place.

Buying Octavia mk4 vs keeping MK3.5
I say keep the MK3.5 and start saving for the new car now. You can save a fair bit in 3 years, and I assume you already have some savings.

Towing experiences with Octavia
@Davema, I have the same car. I have towed a lot with other vehicles although not this one as yet (no towbar), but I doubt you'll have any issues if you stay within the towing parameters. The 1.4 8sp is a beautiful combination and I have to say much more flexible and relaxed than jerky 7sp DSG in my previous Golf. The towing specs always have a small built in margin, but stay a smidge under and you should be fine. You can also get portable weighing scales to use at home for the boat/trailer if you can't get to the weighbridge, not inordinately expensive. Be especially careful with the ball download, stick well within the 80kg to protect your rear suspension and sway control. The HR square neck towbar would be my preference with the height adjustable ball mount, you don't want the fixed Euro style one in case it's set too low for your rig! Let us know how you get on, I for one would be keen to hear of the outcome!

the truth about electric cars
@lol-lol Have a look at the story of Kevin Mackie & Mackie Motors Brechin. I was friends with his dad before he took over the business. He was forced to sell it because of the actions of Renault. It is now a Parks Dealership. Good that he is getting his day in court.

Seats in the Peaq
Good advice from Evolution13. I found the seat in my Roomster Scout comfortable, but I wished I had tried the seat in my Roomster SE before I bought it as it near crippled me. Similar story when I bought a Yeti. The demonstrator was a Monte Carlo in which I found the seat comfortable. But I find the seat in my Yeti SE far less comfortable. Lesson learnt, I will never buy another car without at least sitting in the exact model that I intend to purchase.

I bought that one because Bink said it worked and cheap, been faultless

the truth about electric cars
What I meant was that the car has to be there at the time, or else no cheap electricity, not like a loyalty card from an oil company where when you have amassed so many points, you can redeem those points at the filling station of the same brand at any time of your choosing.

Can high beam assist be retro fitted to my 2021 Octavia SEL with front camera?
I know that is FEC and for my car never will be in the store I guess so if HW is ok I hoped you can do that.thx

the truth about electric cars
I don't do less than today trucks and if want or need to go slower then just get off the motorway. Scenic does have a Misubishi cousin i gather now and the Nissan Ariya is also with the same under pinnings mainly though they have 4 wheel drive Nismo version with over 400 hp as one of the variants.

the truth about electric cars
Just come back.up the M1 and passed a Scen EV doing about 55 mph causing a right tailback as the wagons were having to pass it at 56 mph or there abouts. Obviously on cruise but oblivious to the rest of the world. Other than that I notice that on the continent the Scenic seems to be sold as a Mitsubishi Grandis.
