  3. Read the Warranty. That is a Oil & Inspection Service. (Oil Change and look see.) The Warranty requires the Vehicle serviced to the Manufacturers Recommendations, Schedule or Regime. Well it left the factory on Variable / Flexible Oil Service regime. If changed to Fixed Oil & Filter Services that is when the Service or Oil Service or Inspection service shows. 9,400 miles / 372 days. The Fixed Service Regime is not Recommended, scheduled or advised untill some Tech / Fitter changed it to that.
  4. Please let me know if you solve it. I changed dcc on warranty and that not helped. I also change both front arms, dual mass, silent block DSG - nothing helped
  5. Message now come up on my dash for engine oil change, is this a service or just oil ?
  6. Today
  7. I get this almost every time I get the car out, 'more info' tells you nothing and nothing happens if you select 'install', ps its a '23 Kamiq Right now its also telling me it wants an oil change, back to Arnold Clarks then
  8. I always back off the accelerator once I’ve got some nice momentum going.
  9. The gear number only ever shows when in sport mode, usually it just shows ‘D’ unless you have it in manual mode.
  10. I’ve no idea about cylinder deactivation as unlike my previous Karoq there’s no symbol to say if it’s active or not on my Scala dash.
  11. If you use the back button it takes you back to an Enyaq update, so that procedure may be EV specific. Same update message is appearing in our Karoq (and probably other Skoda models too). One user is reported that his car has updated now: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/541069-constant-app-updates/
  12. The link for the exact one I got is dead but I think this is the newer version of it. https://a.aliexpress.com/_Ex5BdpG
  13. Worth checking out until help comes along.
  14. Evolution13 started following Tow bar install
  15. I might try one of the ali express ones.
  16. Firmware 253T https://mega.nz/file/A3kVnRrb#5USQHMiRRmq3dhy1cjEvacw4y6GoXxRMGnsVhhOIhAw Patch for 253T https://mega.nz/file/cy9SyZYB#7Hoi6A-cIl1xc-J5oqRJ8Q27mOv7JbzYbnb9sLRcJQg
  17. I read on here before about updating the firmware on the ottocast to correct some issues. No idea how that’s done. My Ali express one connects within a few seconds and auto plays from where you left off. It’s been plugged in permanently for nearly a year and had no issues whatsoever.
  18. Thank you. 👍 It will be next week before I'm home again and my new (32Gb) card should be here by then. Wish me luck. ps. Did you glean anything from the photos I put up? Is there a need for new software, or an update I should be doing?
  19. MIB3? Preh Manufactur? Simple to patch CP Off via USB, but Software dont Higher then 332
  20. The latest map is rarely available for download on the Škoda homepage. Here is the current one: https://navigation-maps.volkswagen.com/vw-maps/Update_25_26/DiscoverMedia2_EU-AS_2710_V24.7z Europa All need more then 16GB
  21. Now I need only to ask Skoda to remove the old component protection and apply to the new mib
  22. Well not yet. I finally manage with another skoda service where we start to work on something. They saw on car that it really shaking and we managed to replace on warranty wheel bearings, but this not solved issue, so they have now car on service again where they are searcing again for issue.
  23. Well after some investigation I have purchased a new door speaker and replaced it the audio is back to normal and no distortion, no idea why other speakers were also distorting. But we shall see how it goes long term but for now it's all good again.
  24. minsy replied to Modders's topic in Škoda Scala
Its not my car, its Modders. The reason I ask is I dont think Coasting worked on my 2021 1.5 DSG Scala in Sport mode but maybe changed on the 2025 MY. Anyway, seriously impressive fuel consumption.
  25. Hello everyone, I found this PDF containing various modifications and adaptations for the Golf 8, and it looks like many of them also apply to the Skoda Octavia IV pre-facelift (Non-FL), based on my own testing. So far, I have only tested the adaptations that can be performed without SFD authorization. Unfortunately, I currently don't have a working method to unlock SFD. I can successfully read the Challenge Token and manually enter the Release Token, but I don't have a way to calculate/generate the corresponding Release Token. i also have some of the software releases : 1941, 1969 ,1985, 1989 If anyone can help with that part, I would also be happy to test additional adaptations and features on my Octavia IV and share the results with the community. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Codierliste Golf 8 EN.pdf

  27. MacOS does add extra files - you need to use a MacOS app such as BlueHarvest or CleanEject to remove them.
