  3. If the software is up to date - and the battery in good health - both of which you can check easily without the dealer having to do anything - then you'll be fine. I'm on 1941, which has been fine for about 4 years. They're decent cars!
  4. Hi, I’ve been struggling with the update for quite some time—tried various USB drives and an independent shop using ODIS—but I’m still stuck on version 24.12. I have two options: sending the unit out for repair or flashing a US-to-EU conversion via the service menu. Does anyone happen to have the conversion package, but with a version newer than 24.12? I’m even willing to pay for it.

  6. Thank you for your reply. I'm just a little old lady with a Superb I love to drive 😉. Here are the Pcodes P06DA00 Engine Oil Pressure Control Circuit/Open static P064C00 Glow Plug Control Module static There are also these Bcodes B10AF04 air con B122D29 central locking driver, passenger and rear left doors B122B12 as above B122B11 as above B105413 GPS antenna Be good to know where I go from here, possibly not in my Superb 🤣. All advice is very gratefully received.

  8. If you cant figure out how to use OBD11, you can download Car scanner or OBDTorqueLite. They are not as nice looking or user friendly but they can diffinately read the DTCs in each is the modules
  9. If you have OBD11 you need to figure out how to use it and read the DTCs... It says there are 6 control modules with faults which means there are at least 6 Pcodes available. It's pointless guessing what the fault might by based on an icon in an app. The engine light can be related to lots of different faults from sensors to actuators, battery to communication. Gabbo

  11. The nice thing about using VCDS for this is that it often tells you likely login codes that usually work. Perhaps you could find someone with VCDS near you who could do the coding for you?
  12. Depends on what you want. I have a ROON rock server for the home and this does all my zones (rooms) and plays local content and integrates with streaming services like Qobuz and Tidal. Worth exploring if you’re into your music at audiophile levels. Especially with their RAAT service.
  13. Got an Edition 100 that I got on 94k a couple years back in the PD130 variant. Lovely spec and excellent on fuel despite being heavier. Don’t see many on the road now.
  14. Please do. As you can buy an oem plug in kit by a 3rd party and get it installed. Also, double check the wiring isn’t hidden down the back of the dash.

  17. I have a MY17 2.0L 220 Superb, since new. It's been great thus far. Almost 10 yrs later it still puts a big smile on my face. It's more zippy than a 280, because it's lighter n has a smaller turbo. I don't have a variable boot floor, so can't comment on that. Mine is a pre-facelift version.
  18. The front springs shouldn't need changing because when rear passengers and/or their luggage is added, most of this extra weight is supported by the rear springs.
  19. A car recycler has offered me £1400. Gutting but I'm not sure if I'll do better. What do you lot think?

  21. Some Jaguar ex-employees say the front and back are McGovern's attempt to bring Range Rover design features to Jaguar!
  22. if it was me , i would have kept the superb and bought the electric car that always comes top for reliability as a 2nd car you can get a 2 year old nissan leaf with next to no miles for around £11k, dirt cheap to run especially with solar
  23. twin dials, left dial shows drive in centre , right dial shows speed in centre, centre screen shows consumption, this is the screen that shows when I go into 2 cylinder mode. Hope that helps
  24. My 18th Skoda will be collected on Wednesday and is a Enyaq Coupe VRS in olive green. My first EV so lots to learn.
  25. I have plans to change boath front and rear. If I take the rear coils from M to P (up 2 levels) would it be the same in front?
  26. Would a failing oil pump produce swarf like that though?
  27. Hi Guys, New to the forum My name is Ash and was a member of this forum a long time ago! Anyway, hopefully meet a few of you in the future!
  28. Growing up loving Gerry Anderson shows, Thunder Birds etc, I can see Lady Penelope driving one. There are about 4 jobs in tier 1,2 etc suppliers for everyone at JLR so I hope JLR do well and glad they have embraced electrification. For Somerset's Tata $4B battery factory side as well.

  30. What is Telemetry Monitor?I have developed a project called Telemetry Monitor, which allows you to monitor selected engine parameters and other vehicle data via the OBD-II diagnostic interface. The information is displayed on a small dedicated screen, making it available directly in the car without having to keep an eye on a mobile phone running a diagnostic app. In my Karoq, I have installed the display above the rear-view mirror. The system is wired to switch on automatically when the car is started and begin displaying the available data. There is no need to switch anything on manually or prepare the system before each journey – everything works automatically during normal use. What can it display? The monitor provides a real-time overview of selected vehicle parameters. Some of the most useful include: Engine temperatures – coolant and engine oil temperatures, helping you monitor how the engine warms up. Driving and engine data – a digital speedometer, voltage and engine torque. Additional temperatures and oil data – for example, catalyst, fuel and exhaust gas temperatures, as well as available oil degradation information. 12V battery status – voltage, current, temperature, internal resistance, state of charge and state of health. The interface supports Czech, Slovak and English. You can also choose an introductory brand logo. Colour-coded values for quick referenceThe display does more than simply show numbers. The individual readings use dynamic colour coding to make their current status easier to recognise and highlight important changes. For example, the battery display uses colours to distinguish between charging and discharging and to indicate voltage that is too low or too high. For temperatures and other parameters, the colour coding depends on the relevant conditions for each value. This makes it easier to understand what is happening without constantly having to read every number. The monitor is designed as a useful addition to the factory instruments, not as a replacement for the vehicle's original warning lights. Compatibility with the Škoda KaroqI have verified the project with the 1.5 TSI EVO2 engine, engine code DXD, in the Škoda Karoq. The firmware also includes support for other EA211 engine variants, such as the 1.0 TSI, 1.2 TSI and 1.4 TSI. However, I have not yet confirmed their functionality through real-world testing, so compatibility with these engines cannot be guaranteed. The monitor may also be compatible with other Volkswagen Group vehicles (such as Volkswagen, SEAT or CUPRA) equipped with the same engine types. However, I have not tested it in these vehicles, so compatibility and the availability of individual parameters are not confirmed. What do you need, and where can you find the project? The basic hardware consists of an Ideaspark ESP32 development board with a 1.9-inch TFT display and a VGATE Bluetooth OBD-II adapter. The display communicates with the adapter to retrieve vehicle data. My installation also includes a custom circuit that automatically switches the OBD adapter on when the car is started. This means the entire system starts up without any manual intervention. No programming knowledge is required to install the firmware. You can flash it directly from your web browser using the project's web installer, without installing a development environment or writing any code. Telemetry Monitor on GitHub Firmware releases Automatic OBD adapter switching circuit Please note: The GitHub project documentation is currently available in Czech only. I plan to translate it into English when I have more time. In the meantime, you can use your browser's built-in page translation feature or another online translation tool to read the documentation. What does it look like in the car?I will add photos of the actual installation and a link to a video showing the display mounted above the rear-view mirror and how it works during normal driving. Final thoughtsThe aim of this project is to make important vehicle parameters easily accessible, with colour-coded indications of changes, without having to worry about switching the system on manually. If you are interested in what information can be accessed from your Karoq via OBD-II, feel free to explore the project and its current capabilities. I would also be happy to hear your feedback, experiences and findings from other engine variants.
  31. Thanks. I'll leave the other one up and close this one.
